Why Sharon Johnson chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

We love Tahoe and have vacationeed here every year for the past twenty years.

What makes this condo unique

We chose this condo for it's convenient location to Highway 267 and Highway 80. It is minutes from Northstar , the lake, restaurants, and shopping. The condo is light, airy, with tree views. The forest smell is heavenly! The air is clean and fresh. Kingswood Estates is very well maintained with beautiful grounds and swimming pool which is open in the summer. There are hiking and biking trails surrounding the property.

Good location, clean and nice condo

  • 4 of 5

We spent our after Christmas skiing vacation here. The place is cozy with a lovely gas fireplace, clean, no dust and in general well maintained. Even the knives in the kitchen were sharpened recently! Watching house provided Star Wars movies from VHS had its amusing retro factor, which I found nice (yes, there's a DVD too). The bigger twin beds in the balcony are great when you have older kids who already refuse to share a bed. You need to understand that the condo is ageing and has some normal squeaks, wear and tear, etc. However, as I said it is well maintained and kept clean.

The location is great if you do not need to be close a specific ski resort. Everything in King's Beach area is close in few minutes drive away. The downsides I can list are: only one bathroom (which can be an issue or then not) and the reservation/payment process (it was a bit lengthy and involved sending checks around, etc). At the end everything worked out perfectly and exactly as described. I can definitely recommend this place and its owners.

Clean place to stay in a nice location near King's Beach

  • 5 of 5

This place is located fairly close to the popular King's Beach approximately 1.0 mile, so it's walkable. The accommodations were very clean with very comfortable soft beds for both master and the loft beds. The master is located near the entry in the bottom level and is located fairly close to the bathroom. It has a patio outside of it. The middle floor is where the kitchen and living room is and it was fairly spacious for 4 people. The couches and standalone chair were pretty comfortable too. The loft is situated on the 3rd level with 2 double beds. The loft is fairly far from the one restroom on the first floor, but our other guests didn't mind it.

The condo also has a washer & dryer and some detergent in case you use up all your towels, you can easily just wash them yourself. Parking can be a bit tricky at nighttime but we stayed during the 4th of July weekend so we are not sure if that is the norm or just a product of a busy holiday weekend. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay and would want to stay here again!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your favorable response, Nancy! Glad that you enjoyed your stay. The Fourth of July is notably the most popular summer weekend! I am sure that the parking lot was very full as a result. Hope you were able to enjoy all the fireworks from South Shore, to King's Beach, and Tahoe City. It is always a fun weekend!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your positive review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay which is our goal for all of our guests. We are so fortunate to have snow this season as it is so needed. I love the quiet serenity of falling snow while in the condo with the fireplace making it warm and cozy. /we look forward to having you return in the future.

Great place for our family to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect rental for my husband and I and our two teenagers over the Labor Day weekend. The condo is clean, cozy, and comfortable. It is well stocked with all the necessities and is nicely decorated. I've stayed in a lot of rentals all over the country and I was impressed by the quality of the furnishings and the attention to detail. The location is great -- our son spent the days biking at Northstar while my husband, daughter, and I had fun down by the lake. The management company was great: we decided at the last minute to make a trip to Tahoe and they were very helpful getting our reservation processed quickly (at 8pm the night before!) and were kind enough to allow us both an early check-in and a late check-out. I will definitely think of this condo again for our next trip to Tahoe!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the positive review Isabel! My manager, Helen, and I do our best to accommodate our guests. There is truly something for everyone here at Tahoe.... Whether mountain biking, hiking, or enjoying the beach. Fall is a beautiful time here and the trees do change is a quieter vibe but beautiful and relaxing.

A Very Relaxing Place

  • 5 of 5

Our random internet search led us to this very nice place in North Lake Tahoe. This condo complex is close the beach and shops. We feel relaxed as soon as we got in condo #70, because its so homely with beautiful cabin style decors. The unit is clean, well maintained and fully furnished with amenities very much more than those typical vacation hotel suites. We really enjoyed sitting in the terrace, sipped coffee while watching birds fly from tree to tree. Also, the pool is a big plus if you want to keep away from the beach crowd.

Valentine's Day vacation

  • 5 of 5

I really enjoyed my accomodations on my North Lake Tahoe vacation. The condo was very clean and well stocked with basic items one would need for baking, laundry, DVDs, ect. It was nicely decorated with outdoors decor. The aster bedroom memory foam mattress was very comfortable. We did have a hard time figuring out how to turn on the gas fireplace. Also, the power went out for about 30 minutes but the rental manager was able to have it turned on quickly.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your positive review Lori. So glad that you enjoyed your Valentine's retreat. Our manager is wonderful and she responds quickly to any issues such as power outages. The fireplace can be slow to ignite. Thank you for mentioning it and I will put a note about it in the welcome binder.

Most homes in Tahoe do not have air conditioning. We have a ceiling fan in the living room which keeps the unit comfortable with air moving in the summer and winter.
