Here comes summer!!! And it's going to be great!
This is a country cabin located half way between Cumberland and Turtle Lake. If you're looking for a peaceful get away you've found it. This lake cabin is carved out of the woods on a quiet dead end road with little traffic. 'What more can you ask for, right?' Well,...
The lake is clean with great swimming/fishing, the shoreline is loaded with the purple pickerel plant. The cabin features many unique characteristics that give it a personal welcoming charm. Inside, there are two bedrooms; one upstairs with a queen and one downstairs that is a bunk with a double on the bottom and twin on the top. The cabin is fully furnished, 2 couches, rocker, rustic pine chair, coffee tables, end tables, etc... The kitchen is well supplied; plenty of large and small appliances and all the utensils you need. and yes, wine glasses too!. There are lots of games and books here. The best room in the house is the lakeside screened in porch for obvious reasons.
Outside, there are two fire pits here, one lakeside and the other up by the cabin, for those of you that need a calming campfire while you stay. Don't worry about firewood it's here. Want to barbecue, you can use gas or charcoal here. There is a fish cleaning house located on the property as well. The kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and paddle boards are all included!
All the good stuff is here, you'll think you died and went to heaven.
The pontoon is available for $500 week or $100 a day.
New washer and dryer available for a fee.
Fall in Love with Long Lake.
Things to consider before you book your rental.
Does the vacation rental have...
-a screened in porch for outdoor living when it's raining or an unanticipated Wisconsin bug hatch hatches?
-are there paddle boards and kayaks available?
-is there swimming right off your dock?
-fireplaces available, along with firewood?
-WiFi available, a smart TV(not that you need a TV)
-Does the vacation rental have character?
-What are the sunsets like? I'm a sucker for a good sunset. This cabin has fantastic sunsets.
Save on summer rates by booking for 7 nights. $1525 for the week.
If your party has more than 5 adults add $100 a night for each adult over 5.
Hello, my name is Matt. I grew up on a dairy farm located right nearby my cabin. I love the outdoors and hope you do as well. When I purchased this cabin I had a vision to make improvements and offer a little more than a cabin with lake access. With you in mind, I spent my free time getting this place ready for you. That is why I didn't open the doors for a year and a half. I like to think I built/created what many have wanted to and for that I feel blessed. Now it’s time for you to experience it. Visit as strangers but please leave as a friends. –Matt

It's quite, peaceful, calm, and so easy to relax. I found a gem close to my family farm. It's not too big and it's not too small. You'll spend precious time with family, friends and mother nature and not "getting lost". The seasons make it so special as well! It to hard to have a favorite season here!. This is truly a vacation destination. Don't forget about a romantic winter getaway with your boyfriend or girlfriend.
The fishing. The quietness. The screened in porch in the morning or the evening. The lake is big enough for pontoons and some tubing but not for skiing. During the week you'll feel like you'll have the lake to yourself! It's quite here.
This cabin is the perfect getaway! It is extremely clean and stocked with all of the essentials that you would need to cook, eat and drink. The beds and furniture are all comfortable. The screen porch is an amazing addition to this cabin. It was great for keeping our young child contained and keeping the bugs away. Perfect for that early morning cup of coffee or the late night beverage. We spent a lot of time in this area.
The water in Long Lake is absolutely clean and fresh! We did a lot of swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, paddle boating and used the pontoon. There are a number of different places to sit outside and relax. The outdoor space is well maintained and very comfortable any time of the day. We enjoyed the fire ring in the evenings.
Matt is truly a great host and has all of the toys and necessities you could possibly need to enjoy this cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. We are definitely going back next summer.
We have been setting up our family vacations through VRBO for many years and after the week we just had this is exactly why! Matt is a great guy. He was there to greet us upon arrival and it was fun to chat with him for awhile. When you walk in you feel instantly at home. The week that followed was off the hook (everything except the fish of course)! Matt has his place setup for anything you could want or need for a lake home getaway! His thoughtfulness in setting up the lake home for everyone's enjoyment could be seen in every corner of the home and property. One of the best vacations we ever had!!! Thank you Matt, you rock!
We really enjoyed our time there!! Everything we needed was provided. Very secluded but easy to get to. We had 3 men and 4 boys ranging in age from 13 to 20. The website indicates it sleeps 7 but that required two people to sleep on the couches. If one of the couches was a pull-out, that would have worked. Who wants to go on an extended weekend trip only to sleep on a couch? The couches (and well as all the other furnishings) were nice though!
The fire pit(s), screened in porch, dock, etc. were all awesome!!! It is a very nice lake. There are a couple of nice golf courses, Turtle Back and Spooner Golf Club, within 30-45 minutes. A single bathroom was a bit limiting but not a real problem. Although an exhaust fan may have helped at times!!! :) The air conditioning was amazing but maybe bring an extra blanket if you are going to be sleeping downstairs. Chilly!!
I would certainly consider staying here again but probably with a couple less people. We did not use the pontoon (a little spendy at $100/day and we brought our own fishing boat) but it looked to be in great shape and ready to go!
Thank you Matt for giving us the opportunity to use your "cabin" on Long Lake!! It is a VERY nice place!!
This cabin was very thoughtfully set up for needs while vacationing, from well stocked kitchen utensils, kitchen appliances to kayaks, paddle boards and fish cleaning house. The cabin was very clean and we loved the décor. It was a much needed vacation for my husband, son, daughter, son-in-law and myself to kick back and relax for a few days. We enjoyed a late afternoon meal around the firepit and patio set. A few days before we were to check-in we decided to rent Matt's pontoon rather than trailering ours. Matt was very accommodating to have the pontoon ready for us. Lake is not very big, but fishing was good - caught panfish, crappies, bass and a northern . Kayaking around the lake provided a daily work out for us. We wanted to try the paddle boards but ran out of time. I saved the best for last- the amazing screened-in porch. It was the most used room from sunrise to sunset. Even in 85 degree weather we sat out there reading our books while sipping our cold drinks! Vote is to return next year!
Thank you Matt.
We had a wonderful weekend (despite the unseasonably cold weather) in this cabin. It is cozy and comfortable with plenty of space for 2 couples and a kid. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake, biking the country roads and walking around the lake. The cabin is well stocked with kitchen necessities, games, movies and lots of information for the surrounding area. I would love to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the screened in porch and fire ring. The sunset over the lake is stunning. Thanks for a great weekend!
I wanted a quiet and cozy place to work on my dissertation and this place was perfect. I got so much done and got to take study breaks in the still-warm lake and out on the kayak. It was perfect.
This place is serenity. It's great for the mind, body and soul. You can take a piece of it with you but sooner or later you'll need another dose. It's the perfect cabin with all the amenities. Come here to unwind.
