About Tim & Craig

I always vacationed in Provincetown. I would make that 6-8-hour drive from Philadelphia every summer for a 2 week stay. Excited the whole way to Provincetown, but driving back home, I had tears in my eyes already planning the next year’s vacation. And, then one day, 18 years ago, I met my husband, Craig, on the dance floor at T-dance. He was living in Boston and I was in Philadelphia. After 1 year of long distance dating, Craig was able to maintain his job and begin working virtual office at home. He was able to move to Philly. At that time, he and two friends were seasonally renting in Provincetown. Since I was a teacher and free during the summer, I joined them. We have been renting since then knowing someday we would buy a place of our own.

Tim & Craig purchased this condo in 2017

Why Tim & Craig chose Provincetown

As soon as we walked into this unit, we knew it was the right place for us. It was bright and felt larger than what it is. We just closed in March 2017 and are all set to have others walk into this unit and know it is the right place for them to spend some time in Provincetown.

We wanted a place that had parking and was close to town. This property is located in a neighborhood that is close to both Commercial Street and the Stop and Shop supermarket. Everything we wanted to be near, we are near, but yet far enough away to be quiet.

As told by David W. Dunlap on his website, “Building Provincetown”. David says of 20 Race Road. “Emma L. (Smith) Marshall (b ±1893), who grew up at 11 Pleasant Street, and her husband, Joseph A. Marshall (b ±1894), together ran the Fishermen’s Market at 128 Bradford Street. In 1952, they bought a number of properties, including this cluster of four buildings, from John Agna. Emma’s great-niece, Wendy Hankins, told me in 2013 that Bette Davis had stayed here in her youth. (Among the places where Davis was supposed to have appeared was the Barnstormers’ Theater, 27A Bradford Street. In 1967, the Marshalls sold the group to Patricia Shultz who, with Lenore H. Ross, redeveloped it in 1985 as a seven-unit condo.” This explains the movie poster of Bette Davis!

Perfect Place In P-Town

  • 4 of 5

Perfect location for walking to town or biking to race point. We had the best weather for a mid October weekend stay. Neighbor was super nice along with Pinot the black cat. Condo was great the only one thing that takes a star off is the cleaning service that they use. Clean towels & clean sheets on the bed. The condo could have used a good vacuuming, washing of the counters, dust & mop of the floors. I was well aware that they were dog owners. There was a tissue box with just one tissue folded up nice inviting to be used, along with 3/4 used toilet paper folded pretty. I did ask for a discount on the cleaning fee as it was high compared to other VRBO rentals and with the size of the condo. Knowing what I know now I should have pushed for it.

Owner's Response: Kathy, thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We will definitely have a conversation with the cleaning company we use. We do apologize. Tim and Craig
