Why Terence chose British Columbia Mountains

It provides easy access to all of the facilities of Whistler with secure parking and without the need to drive anywhere. It has a beautiful view, and is quiet in the evening.

What makes this condo unique

Whistler is a cosmopolitan town, It seems to be full of Australians, but has young people from all over the Commonwealth as well as Europe and Asia. There is definitely a spot for Francophiles. This is all blended with the underlying conservative, courteous and strongly Canadian hospitality. It is an enthusiastic youthful and happy place to visit with great skiing and Summer activities as well as an inspiring mix of cultures.

Great Crankworx Stay

It was a very hot, busy week with Crankworx going on, but staying at this condo was perfect.

It's location was awesome, the concierge sent directions, which were helpful in finding parking and getting to the condo from the parking.

Super close to the lifts and everything we needed.

It was clean. Since there is no AC, a fan or multiple fans would have been nice for the 90 degree days.

Great apartment for a ski trip

Booking the apartment for exactly the dates that were required was successful however it was a little more hassle than expected. Leading up to departure the amount of communication and detail of the information provided for finding and accessing the parking, apartment and locker room was accurate and easy to understand, which was great for getting organized quickly and easily. The apartment its self was basic but perfect for the trip (two adults, nine nights, ski, sleep and repeat) - general accessibility, general location within Whistler village, access to lifts, mountains, shops and restaurants were great. The noise from the village (specifically bars was only really noticed on Friday and Saturday nights) was not a significant issue. For a light sleeper ear plugs should provide the solution. The apartment its self was clean, tidy, warm and comfortable, however if you plan on self catering all week the kitchen utensils were a little basic, but not a significant problem with a little ingenuity. Over all as a skiing apartment it was excellent, the only request would be for a key coded lock on the ski room door rather than a key. Great overall, would definitely stay at the apartment again. Thank you to the managers and owners.

Convenient, dated, 4th floor walk up

It works but be sure to get good directions to parking and condo. Nice deck if weather permits. 2 bath is a plus. Basic cable

Owner's Response: There are two entrances to the building, and the rear entrance is probably more convenient. We are reworking the instructions and the maps to make them easier, It is important to bring all of the instructions with you as there are two staircases from the garage one leading to the front of the building, and the other leading to the back. We will do our best to make it easier for you.

Great value at an affordable price

Stayed here just this past weekend and found it wonderful. Clean, simple condo with an EXCELLENT location right in the village, just a 3 minute walk to the mountain. Grocery and liquor store right downstairs. Lovely balcony with a mountain view. Concierge service made purchasing lift tickets easy (they were on our kitchen counter when we arrived!) and because of the location, we didn't have to drive once we parked our car in the garage.

One thing that's a common theme in these reviews is how far the building entrance is from the parking spot, making transporting of luggage to condo difficult. There's actually a door in the garage not far from the parking spot, that leads to a staircase that lets out right at the entrance to the building (NOTE: This door was hard to find, as in the Concierge's instructions, it says to look for the door labeled 'Windwhistle' with a keycode box on it. This is a mistake, the door actually has no keycode box, it just opens.)

Wish the owners sprung a few extra bucks for the HD cable package, but at this price, you can't be too picky. It's cheaper than the surrounding hotels, and you get much more bang for your buck. If I head back to Whistler, I'll be staying here again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review, I had no idea that anyone ever watched the TV and thought that it and the Netflix subscription were probably of no interest. I will look into the HD upgrade. As for the garage information, I will check with our concierge to make certain that the information we send out has the error corrected so that the door is easily recognisable The door to the building should have been locked and opened only with the code we provided. I hope that was the case. I will check with the Strata management to verify that it is operating correctly. I hope you do return to Whistler and we would welcome you if you were to choose our condo.

Great location, average accomodations, and less than desirable access and ammentities....

We are seasoned travellers and therefore feel our review is unbiased one as we would never look to give a negative impression, however as travellers, we seek to provide accurate feedback so you know what your getting. Overall, we had a great experience, the location could not have been better across from a pub and Villiage stroll, the layout and view of the suite was excellent, and throwing a log on the fireplace made the evenings. Now the however..for the money we paid, (I've paid much less for more, even at Christmas in Whistler. The place was dated, lacked amenities such as good kitchenware, and needed an upgrade or two. The worst part (which was apologized for) was the instructions to where the building was in the parking garage. We spent 30mins looking for the door with the building name on it, and it was painted over! Quite a big deal with two kids and bags in our hands after a long drive. There was also no access from the building to the underground garage, so you had to walk all the way around to the convention centre EVERYTIME you wished to carry stuff up or down which was four flight of stairs, (that we were expecting) but combined with the garage access was a serious downside.

The other notables that must be mentioned is that when we originally booked this suite, the price was lower. We sent several messages to the owner with no response after days. Then we received a sudden email a week or two later saying the suite listing was still available and we had to go back through the VRBO site to book it? When I went back in, the cost had gone up! I'm not sure if it was the owner or VRBO, but it was shifty and clearly as you can tell, I was not impressed. I am not sure I would book with VRBO again, and just because I felt held ransom to book the suite as Christmas neared, I took the hit and paid the extra. As a consumer, this does not sit well with me. Also please consider even though I booked in Canada for a Canadian site, I was charged USD which is uncommon here and could also be considered shifty.

Want a cheap place close to everything that you can cook in, ski and relax, great, but caveat emptor, buyer beware...

Owner's Response: I am sorry that you found the access to the building, and our charges to be unreasonable. It appears from your description that you used the front entrance of the building which opens onto a pedestrian mall rather than the rear entrance which has a temporary unloading zone which is convenient for getting your baggage to and from the condominium. It also provides the quickest and easiest access to our parking stall via the adjacent stairwell. Our charges for the condominium are the same as last year. The initial change was due to the fact that that you wished to make the reservation, before the winter rates had been entered. You were under no obligation to make the reservation. Other clients have noted in advance that we charge in US dollars. This has always occurred. It is a problem for Canadian customers as the exchange rate has moved against them and in fact the majority of clients are from the US. Regarding the kitchen supplies If you had told the concierge what was lacking i we would have sought to correct the problem, though apart from a request for a microwave which we supplied, We do not remember any other issues that guests have raised. We will however discuss this with our concierge to rectify any deficiency. The photographs of our unit give to the best of our ability the true appearance of the unit, and other comments have testified to this. So as experienced travellers I hope that the comfort of the unit and its convenience in the centre of Whistler to the Christmas festivities and the central parking made your stay an enjoyable one.

The condominium is in the heart of Whistler and surrounded by shops, restaurants, dance clubs, bars. It is a 2 min walk to the ski lifts for both mountains. As it is a penthouse with balconies it is quiet in the evening and gives a great view of the mountains.

It has private parking under the concrete building included in the rental price. There is a ki locker but no storage for bikes at the ground floor. However there is secure bike storage at the base of the mountain near the lifts.

Private Concierge Service is complementary. Our concierge Shirley Hills is a great resource for you. She can book transportation from the airport, offer discounted lift tickets delivered to your home, with discounted ski rentals and can arrange ski lessons. Ask her advice on restaurants and most activities including Sleigh Rides, Snowmobile tours, Heli Skiing, Spa Treatments, Child Care, and in Summer White Water Rafting, and Tee times and more.
