This cabin - called "Pink Cliffs Vista" - is flawless! ...an exquisite layout and design; beautifully furnished and appointed; equipped with a gourmet kitchen and amenities; wonderful decks - and all sitting on top of a ridge with a 360 degree view of the pink cliffs of Bryce Canyon National Park in the distance. The location is perfectly situated between Bryce Canyon National Park (about 32 miles NE) and Zion National Park (about 33 miles SW). So you can easily explore these two incredible National Parks to you heart's content, and then come back to a fantastic cabin for unwinding after a day of adventure. You can also discover the many canyon lands and other natural wonders here: Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Kodachrome State Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (only about a two hour drive away). Capitol Reef National Park is a gorgeous three hour drive away too - well worth a day trip to see and explore. The drive to Capitol Reef takes you on Hwy 12, a US Scenic Byway, which boasts a myriad of lovely and varied scenery.
The cabin has four bedrooms, and three full baths (one on each floor).
The main floor is the heart of the cabin. And the kitchen is the heart of the wonderful layout on the main floor. The owners are gourmet cooks, and the quality of the kitchen and it's equipment reflects that. It's a chef's delight. There's a beautiful central island that makes for a terrific gathering place for entertaining. The main floor also features a gorgeous stone fireplace that rises to the top of the cathedral ceiling in the living room/dining room area. Also on the main floor is a bright and lovely guest bedroom; a full bath with a beautiful tile/stone walk in shower; and an entertainment/family room for relaxing just steps away from the activity in the kitchen/dining area. On two sides of the main floor, there is access onto the wrap-around deck, which also features an outdoor fireplace at the "prow" of the deck. Enjoy dining on the deck just outside the French doors in the entertainment/family room.
The upper floor is dedicated to the stunning Master Suite. The are incredible views from the master bedroom, and from the master bathroom. The master bath features a deep soaking tub with its own gorgeous view - you can soak and relax while you soak in the view. There's also a large tile and glass shower. A huge walk-in closet makes it easy to stash your things. Rounding out the Master Suite is a cozy sitting area for reading or just taking in the view and the stars at night through the many windows.
The lower level of the cabin has two more well-appointed bedrooms, a full bath with tub/shower, and a large family room area for games or just catching the latest movie. Lastly, there's a large laundry room with a brand new washer and dryer, so you can pack light and wash up your things while you're here.
This cabin is wonderful, loaded with comfort and features - and did we mention the view? Come enjoy two of the nation's most gorgeous National Parks, with options to explore several of the other of the "Fabulous Five" National Parks in Utah -- and have an incredible cabin to relax in while you take in all the sights SW Utah has to offer!

About Jan McDaniel
I'm the property manager for this lovely cabin. I myself own and very successfully manage two other cabins in the Duck Creek Village area (about 7 miles west of this location). My husband and I have been coming to SW Utah for over a decade, to hike and explore the incredible area and renew ourselves with the incredible scenery. We fell in love with this area, and we love sharing it with visitors and guests who want to experience all that SW Utah has to offer! PLEASE NOTE on PRICE: The Homeaway/VRBO system is very awkward when it comes to how they show the price per night on the front page of our listing. Be aware! It can be inaccurate! The initial price without dates put in should be shown as the "avg/night" - average price per night. Once you put in dates, it shows you your price "per night". If you are booking a week or more, it will show your price per night, with the weekly "free night:" discount already built in. That is NOT the listed nightly rate, but the average nightly cost with the discount already included. Please refer to the rates tab for details on the rates - it varies based on season, holidays, etc. Also how many nights you are booking. Thanks for you patience with this system issue that Homeaway has.

Why Jan McDaniel chose Duck Creek Village
The owners of this cabin are good friends. They came here with us a few years ago, and fell in love with this part of the country too! They decided to create a beautiful oasis for themselves here, so that they could enjoy it to the fullest. So they built this beautiful cabin that sits up on a ridge, with a 360 degree view overlooking the pink cliffs of Bryce Canyon National Park. Once you arrive here, you will instantly see "why this property". The cabin has one of the most spectacular views and settings of any location around. And it's location is perfect -- so convenient to exploring the natural wonders of two of our most magnificent national treasures: Zion and Bryce National Parks.
What makes this Cabin unique
Again, views, views, views! And location, location, location! The owners bought themselves a wonderful piece of property to build their "dream cabin". And they have exquisite taste, so this cabin was built with the highest quality and comfort in mind. The lovely interiors of the cabin set off the stunning views so well! The photos truly can't do it justice. You will find comfort, a peaceful location, and an awe-inspiring setting to relish in this cabin, Pink Cliffs Vista

Our stay exceeded our expectations!
It was such a relaxing, gorgeous cabin - everything was just as stated. The kitchen and pantry were fully stocked with what was needed to prepare meals. It was so nice at the end of the day to prepare and have dinner and just chill in the beautiful surroundings - that view!! Good location for visits to several national parks. We were surprised by a buck and 3 doe coming right up to the front of the cabin at dusk our last evening! I will definitely recommend this property to friends and family planning a trip to Utah.
Great house, great view, great location, 45 mins from Bryce, 30 Mins from Red Canyon, 50 mins to Zion.
A hot tub would have been a 7 star rating!!!!!
This “cabin”was the best. Nicely situated between Zion and Bryce. Kitchen was nicely equipped. 3 couples had ample space and yet privacy with one bed and bath each. Jan was the greatest to work with. We had a great time and would love to come back.
Wonderful house with great view.
This was our first time to Utah and this part of the country. The house was great. Not too far to Bryce, Zion and Cedar Breaks. We also went to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. The house is layed out very nicely even tho we were only 2 people I could see how it would be good for large groups. Plenty of space to spread out with a couple tvs and games to play. The kitchen had everything (even a fondue pot, wish I had known) crock pot which is good for coming back after a long day out and a French press which is our preferred coffee type. Overall if we come back to this area I'd definitely stay here again.
The property is perfectly located between Bryce Canyon and Zion national Park. The house has amazing views, was spotless, well equipped and first class all the way!
Jonathan, I'm so glad you found our cabin to be a great location and a wonderful place to stay for your vacation in Utah. We do try to make it a "first class" experience for our guests! Please come again when you're back in the area - we'd welcome you back!
We loved our stay and meeting up with my brother and his wife. The view as you come in the front door is wonderful. We enjoyed watching some movies in the TV room or just enjoying the view on the sofa. We liked the location between Bryce and Zion. Duck creek had some wonderful pie and friendly service at the Ace hardware store for a few groceries.
We also enjoyed meeting the neighbor dog named "Diesel". Such a sweet dog. It was too cool to enjoy the deck. Had some problem with getting a fire going in fireplace since the wood supplied just did not want to burn. So suggest you pick up some wood if you want a fire that burns.
It was our first visit to Utah and it was great! Thanks!
Nancy, I'm very happy to hear you all had a good time visiting the area, and that you all enjoyed the cabin. Please come visit again!
I'm sorry you had difficulty with the wood - it's actually cured, dry cedar, and is stored under cover, so it should not have been a problem. We haven't had anyone else report an issue. But I'll have our housekeeper check to be sure fire starters are available (we usually keep them out) to help future guests get the fire going. Jan
Glad you met "Diesel" - he's a happy little neighbor dog, and likes to come greet our guests! ;-)
