Great location! Plenty of room for the family. Wonderful townhome for our stay. (You must eat breakfast/brunch at Surreys!)
Made us feel like a part of New Orleans!
Loved this beautifully decorated authentic New Orleans home! You certainly do not get this feeling when you stay in a hotel! Huge windows opened to a balcony, where we enjoyed coffee in the mornings & night caps in the evening. Walking distance Surrey’s, a delicious place to have breakfast. Owner provided us with a list of restaurants, which was great because there are so many to chose from!
On a previous stay we rented the lower unit of this townhouse. We stayed in the upstairs unit this time as we wanted a bathtub for our Grandson. Wonderful location, very charming inside with all that you need. There is a grocery store on Magazine street to stock up for your stay. This is always our first stop in town. Rum house for dinner and then grocery shopping! Washer and dryer on the same floor. Great heat and air-conditioning. This is important! This townhome is so close to the French quarter and the shopping/dining area of Magazine street. Only a short drive to the Zoo, which we love.
We were able to bring our small dog, and this is a very dog friendly town.
There are a lot of stairs involved in the home, but there always are with older homes. Just note if you have difficulty managing stairs.
I always miss NOLA as soon as I leave.
Have a great stay.
Excellent location and host did an excellent job. Visit spoiled by noisy neighbors.
Enjoyed our visit to NOLA in part due to Jules’ responses to minor problems in the apartment and information supplied on restaurants, etc. Great location! Unfortunately, awakened 3 days by loud music and voices from neighbors (lower apartment?) beginning ~1 AM and sometimes lasting until ~5 AM. 3rd floor suite was well appointed with NOLA furnishings and an updated bath, but absence of door limited privacy.
One of our favorite apartments in NOLA
We always enjoy staying at this gem of an apartment. The decor and amenities are beautiful and functional and you cannot beat the location. The apartment is clean, spacious, full of natural light and so comfortable. Parking is free and easy to find and there are many fun coffee shops and restaurants within a few blocks’ walk (which we needed after enjoying all the amazing food that NOLA has to offer!).
High ceilings, lovely light, lots of space in this Magazine Street two story apartment
We very much enjoyed our long weekend in this spacious Magazine Street second floor walk up apartment. The space is captured in two floors. The main space is open concept living room (with fold-down couch) and kitchen, a separate bedroom and bath en suite with shower. There are high ceilings and three large windows leading out to a generous balcony overlooking Magazine.
Upstairs is a large master loft with bath, tub plus separate, large shower, writing desk and closet. A blow up bed was conveniently located in the loft closet, and there was more than adequate floor space for its use.
Jules was extremely responsive to any queries, and sent out access information as well as a comprehensive list of food options, appreciated in a city like NOLA, where diverse food choices abound.
We very much enjoyed our stay here, and hope to return soon!
