Gorgeous View

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 5 and two little dogs had a fun filled vacation in Door County. There is so much to do and this cottage was close to everything. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the cottage, it's a bit bigger than it looks in the pictures. This cottage is clean, and comfortable and has that reminiscent Wisconsin family vacation feel. The best part of this property is the view! The rocky shore line is fantastic and the sunset on the water is gorgeous! This cottage was the perfect home base for our adventurous days of exploring the peninsula.

Idyllic cottage retreat on the water

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful week stay in this cute cottage. Pat called me the day before our arrival to answer any questions I might have had. Our family has spent many vacations up in door county, but this is our first time to rent. We loved the sunset and camp fire right on the water. We brought our paddle board and kayak and we had lots of fun swimming off the shore. The house was small, cute and cozy. There was one window air conditioning unit in a bedroom upstairs and we used 2 floor fans that were provided to cool down in the evening. We would actually give 4.5 stars if that was an option. The only small issue I had was there was no laundry facilities. However, Pat told us ahead of time that there was no washer/dryer so we were prepared for the week with enough clothes. It would have been nice to use for our beach towels but we managed just fine. Also, In another review, someone mentioned having allergies so we were a little worried ahead of time but we had no problems during the whole week. Overall we had a great time and would recommend staying here again.

Charming, private cottage with spectacular sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here mid-week in June, and loved it! Pat was incredibly good at communicating prior to and during our stay via phone and email, yet gave us lots of privacy. The setting is truly spectacular, with rocky shoreline and stellar sunset views each night. Each room has windows facing the water. At night, we'd open the upstairs window to hear the waves as we drifted off-- magical! It was a lovely getaway for two, although there was ample space for more. It is definitely an older cottage, with all of the quirks and charms of an older structure, which may make it a little difficult for those with severe allergies- mine acted up just a little while we were there. However, I'd highly recommend booking this cottage for anyone wanting a beautiful private retreat to come back to after a day exploring Door County!

Beautiful, secluded cabin on the bay....

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at this lovely cottage just north of Sturgeon Bay. The view of the Bay was so gorgeous - so many of the windows face the water. The cottage was lovely - large modern bath, 2 bedrooms upstairs - one with a huge comfy bed and the other with 2 twin beds. And, yes, we had wi-fi! Plus we were able to bring our dog, Lily, who had a blast. It didn't hurt that we had perfect weather. We highly recommend this cottage for a quiet getaway - we never heard or saw our neighbors and we felt like we were in the middle of a forest.

Cool old fashion cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here in early October this year when the fall foliage was just starting to pop. There's nothing more beautiful than Door County in the Fall!

The cabin was very retro and cute. Loved the creek of the old wooden steps going upstairs to the bedrooms. In fact one night I dreamt I was staying in an old lighthouse so that kind of stuck with me for the rest of the week and I loved it! All of the comforts of home were provided in the cabin, We didn't miss a thing. The TV worked fine. We got about five or six channels but we didn't watch much TV. We spent most of our time touring Door County. The wifi worked perfectly if that's important to you.

What we really enjoyed was the firepit. We had a campfire every night. On one side of the cabin there's huge trees that act as a wind break. Very nice on windy days or nights while stirring the fire. On the other side of the cabin there was what I thought looked like an enchanted forest. It was so pretty when the sun was setting! The views from the yard,of the lake, are incredible! Sunsets that took our breath away!

I would warn those of you with young kids that this might not be the place for you because of the rocks leading down to the lake. While beautiful and negotiable, they appear to me to be quite dangerous for the little ones.

Thank you Pat for sharing this little Door County gem! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Vacation Destination

  • 5 of 5

Looking for a quiet, secluded, perfect spot for two people with a small pet?? Here it is!! The wife and I absolutely loved it here. From being right on the waters of Green Bay to being within reasonable driving distance to everything Door County has to offer, this place was amazing. Loved being able to sit around the fire and listen to the waves coming in and being able to look at the water while sitting in the kitchen having a meal. The cable reception is spotty at best, but was of no concern to us as we weren't there to watch TV. The wireless internet is a nice touch, works great for checking emails or catching up on Facebook. All in all, I really can't say enough good things about this facility or it's owner, Pat, who was amazing from the very beginning. We will be going back next year and would love to stay here again. Thanks Pat for everything!!
