About Duane and Paula Rhodes
Duane and I decided to renovate the barn next to the farmhouse in 1987 to be able to fulfill his desire of running a restaurant. His mother had offered to let him use part of her home for this endeavor. This began a 40 year love of operating the Goodville House of 1870. Together they so enjoyed making her New England Fare she enjoyed at her family's table growing up in Concord, New Hampshire. Her apple pie with a slice of sharp cheddar couldn't be beat. Duane's mother, Leona was an accomplished musician and vocalists and loved to engage our customers in sing alongs and music games. They were delighted when she honored them with serenades on their birthdays, and anniversaries. As our three children grew up they were excited to help serve, anticipating savoring the leftover food from the evening banquet. After mother died at age 91 we inherited her property which is now the new Fulling Mill Inn and Restaurant. Come and enjoy it with us.
Duane and Paula Rhodes purchased this Farmhouse in 2013
Why Duane and Paula Rhodes chose Middletown
Duane's father was in the navy stationed at Olmstead Airforce Base here in Middletown. Duane wanted a horse and after saving enough money from his paper route deliveries his parents bought this farm to move the horse out of their garage. His family property is dear to his heart since he's been taking care of it since age 12. He has so many wonderful memories of the homestead. He and his mother loved cooking and opened The Goodville House Restaurant in their Farmhouse. We renovated the barn next door into our home and raised our three children there. We inherited the house in 2013 and decided to open up a bed and breakfast to make use of the lovely home. It took three years for the renovation and is now ready or you to enjoy. Please tour the site on the picture gallery. We eagerly anticipate your stay. Duane and Paula Rhodes.

Bridal Party Accomadations
The farm house was the perfect location for hosting our bridal party before and after our wedding. Paula was a pleasant and friendly host. Plenty of rooms to accommodate 11 people without the feeling of over-crowding. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Long Weekend Family Stay
We spent 3 nights at this property while on an extended weekend family trip to the Hershey area. The property was a perfect place for our three-generational family to spend time together while visiting Hersheypark and the surrounding area. There was plenty of space for all of us- 6 adults, three children and one baby. The configuration of the bedrooms was especially appealing. There were enough twin size beds for the children, while still providing larger ones for the 6 adults. Check-in was super easy, important for us as we were arriving from 3 different states; and everything was clean and as advertised. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay again if we return to the area.
Above and Beyond
Paula went above and beyond to accommodate us, as guests arrived at various times, and even helped us host a pre-wedding breakfast for over 21 people.
Charming historical house and great owners
We had a perfect 4-day stay at this house before New Years! It has 5 bedrooms that fit 2 families very comfortably. I love that the house has the historical feeling but all the bathrooms and applicances are new, super clean and worked very well. Paula was very nice and patient! Answered every question we had and was always there to help. We loved all the holiday decor all through the house which made our stay very enjoyable - kids had great fun! It is at a very convenient location - we went to Hershey Park, ski resort, Amish country ... all within 30 minutes. We would definitely stay again if we come back to this area. Thank you for your hospitality - Paula and Duane
Loved this house
Beautiful home. Beautiful property. Owners were super nice. This was perfect for our annual girlfriends getaway. Definitely recommend!
Thank you for taking the time for the kind review. Hope the rain didn't deter the Wine Festival. Maybe next time the ladies can enjoy the massage and reflexology sessions for a spa day. You have to try Chef Duane's food!
It was perfect for our stay, kids thought it was neat. Thanks.
Enjoy our Harrisburg - Hershey popular tourist area here in south central area. Lancaster Amish Country is 30 miles down the road. Hershey Park is 9 miles away for a fun filled day for the family. Civil war history buffs will love a few days in Gettysburg. Our state capital is here in town and has two wonderful museums.
