2 Bed/2 Bath with loft, Stunning View of Coral Bay and Beyond.
About Cindy Humphreys
We are landlocked midwesterners who have fallen in love with St John and the 'island life.' We love for others to discover the true beauty of St. John and believe that Casa YaYa is the perfect place for this to occur.
Cindy Humphreys purchased this Villa in 2012
Why Cindy Humphreys chose Upper Carolina
From the moment we stepped through the door, we were mesmerized by 'the view.' We looked at several properties and this is the only one that left us eager to return! We are confident that the comfortable surrounds afforded here will complement the scenic beauty of Casa YaYa.
What makes this Villa unique
Located in Coral Bay, where many of the locals choose to live, we are in close proximity to comfortable island dining whether you are looking for the very casual to more upscale. Situated between the more quiet eastern beaches and the world famous north shore beaches, Casa YaYa is only minutes from each. Hiking trails abound and are also only minutes away. A night out in Cruz Bay, dining and shopping, is just a short (but curvy) 20-30 minute drive on island roads where speeds are rarely over 20 miles per hour. The island is 2/3 National Park land and therefore protected from over development.

Love Casa Yaya
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Yaya. The listing and photos are accurate; there were no surprises. The view is gorgeous. The pool is a wonderful addition. The house is nice and comfortable. There was even a basket of sunscreen and bug spray that others left behind plus a pantry of seasonings, condiments, coffee, and even some alcohol that we were told was available for our use! It was a nice touch that you dont often see!!
The location is great with lots of good restaurants nearby. We had many great meals including lunch at the Lime Out and dinners at Aqua Bistro, TBD (awesome mashed plantains), Rhumb Lines, Pizza Bar, and Ekaete Pink Corner.
Booking was easy and clear and our contact of the island, Gwen, was great! A very smooth process!
Thanks for a great stay! Can't wait to come back!!
An amazing week!
The property is perfect. Two masters, a great loft for kids. We loved being close to Maho and enjoying the pool. Aqua Bistro was so close and good we went twice!
I became my mother on this trip per my children (not a bad thing)! Could not put my camera down!! The beauty of St. John is something you want to capture and preserve for days when we may not remember, can't remember, or just need to be reminded. The view from Casa Ya Ya is just breathtaking! Began each day with early morning coffee on that amazing balcony and ended each day in the darkness still admiring the view:) The place had everything we needed and we absolutely loved the outdoor showers. Myself, husband, and 2 teenage children had a week full of adventures with lots of long hikes (Rams Head was my favorite) and tons of amazing snorkeling. We also went out a day with Busy Bee charters for another unforgettable view of this island with some out of the way snorkeling spots and lunch at Pizza Pi on the water! I also wanted to mention that Gwen was super helpful when our plane arrived late and we were trying to find our way around the island in the pitch dark...another adventure. She took her time making sure we knew everything we needed and was super friendly. Speaking of friendly, we were amazed at the resilience of the people in St.John and their efforts to restore the island after the devastating hurricanes. The pictures on the wall showing the hurricane damage are a great reminder of this. Thank you Humphrey's family for sharing your beautiful home. We have at least 100 pictures to remember this week!
We had a fabulous vacation at Casa Yaya. Things we liked the best: The spectacular views, the wonderful breezes, the privacy for two couples traveling together, the convenience to restaurants in Coral Bay, the pool, the view of the stars at night from the deck lounge chairs, the swings. The kitchen was well-equipped, the property was clean, and the property manager was very responsive.
Casa Ya Ya
Wonderful property! It was exactly how it was advertised! Would recommend this jewel to everyone wanting to stay in Coral Bay!
Thanks for the endorsement! Come see us again soon!
First time to the USVI
Myself, hubs, and 2 teenagers took our first trip to St. John in April. Im so glad we chose Casa Yaya, it is as amazing as it appears in the photos. A quiet, private place to return to after the adventures of the day.
Morning sunlight filled the house with a wonderful glow, and the trade winds kept it cool all day. Our daytime temps were in the low to mid 80's when we visited and we were never uncomfortable.
We used the kitchen to cook several meals and it had everything we needed.
Its very spacious but still has a "homey" feel to it if that makes sense! And that’s what it felt like, like we were coming home.
The owners have a done a marvelous job restoring this gem after the hurricanes. Kudos to Cindy and family. I'm sure it was not easy!!
We LOVED our stay at Casa Yaya and hope to return again someday!!
We absolutely love when our guests say they felt “at home.” That is our top priority for your stay! Thanks for the great review and the kind words! See you next time!
Just minutes to the breathtaking North Shore beaches and less known East End beaches. Snorkeling and sunbathing opportunities abound. Multiple hiking trails are nearby. Fabulous restaurants are minutes away in Coral Bay.
