Lower Carolina House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bed/2 Bath, 3rd BR Loft, Stunning View of Coral Bay and Beyond

Look no further than Casa YaYa for your perfect St. John retreat. The moment you enter, the view will take your breath away. Casa YaYa boasts one of the prettiest views on the island. Located on the western hillside overlooking beautiful Coral Bay, we are located in a quiet area with wonderful breezes and full sun until mid to late afternoon. If privacy is what you desire, this is the villa for you.

If you ever decide to come inside, the Caribbean decor and comfort will have you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. This one level villa (with 2nd story loft) is unique for its large 10 foot openings along the entire east side allowing beautiful sunshine and cooling breezes to invade the villa. The view from each room is unparalleled. It boasts a large great room and kitchen. The two master bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the great room for maximum privacy. Each air conditioned bedroom features a king sized bed and affords the same spectacular view as the great room. Both bathrooms have outdoor showers that are highly desired in this tropical climate. The 2nd story loft features a queen sized bed and is accessed by a traditional style loft ladder.

Enjoy the privacy that this villa has to offer while lounging in the newly constructed 20x12x5 pool. Sunbathe on the newly expanded sun deck. Unwind in one of the hammock swings. All of this is possible as you take in the view of Coral Bay, Tortola and the Sir Francis Drake Passage to Virgin Gorda. Don't forget to watch the sunrise and moonrise, which are visible from every room in the house.

Located in Coral Bay, where many of the locals choose to live, we are in close proximity to comfortable island dining whether you are looking for the very casual to more upscale. Situated between the more quiet eastern beaches and the world famous north shore beaches, Casa YaYa is only minutes from each. Hiking trails abound and are also only minutes away. A night out in Cruz Bay, dining and shopping, is just a short (but curvy) 20-30 minute drive on island roads where speeds are rarely over 20 miles per hour. The island is 2/3 National Park land and therefore protected from over development.

Our On Island Coordinator and Staff will ensure that your stay is comfortable and that your needs are met.

Casa YaYa will not disappoint and will leave you dreaming of your return!

******Casa YaYa was featured in the October 11-13,2013 weekend edition of USA TODAY, both online and in print! Look for it!

About Cindy Humphreys

We are landlocked midwesterners who have fallen in love with St John and the 'island life.' We love for others to discover the true beauty of St. John and believe that Casa YaYa is the perfect place for this to occur.

Why Cindy Humphreys chose Coral Bay

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were mesmerized by 'the view.' We looked at several properties and this is the only one that left us eager to return! We are confident that the comfortable surrounds afforded here will complement the scenic beauty of Casa YaYa.

Perfect vacation, stunning view, great location!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from an absolutely magical week on St. John! We loved Casa YaYa and will definitely stay there again if given the opportunity.

Casa YaYa was very comfortable for our family of 4 (kids aged 13 and 11). The Coral Bay location is perfect and the view is absolutely stunning! We spent every morning and every evening on the back patio. The swings were a favorite. All 4 of us would sit on the swings in the evenings playing word games and stargazing.

Air conditioning in the bedrooms was not only heavenly, but a must while we were there. I can’t imagine staying somewhere without AC in the bedrooms. It gets pretty hot in the living area during the day, but in the evenings, we opened the sliders and let the awesome breezes sweep through to cool us off.

Casa YaYa is cheery with its tropical colors, rustic decor and lovely tile flooring. The outdoor showers are really refreshing. The kitchen was well-stocked and worked great for a family of 4.

The place has plenty of helpful books and brochures, and the laundry facilities were a definite plus. Another bonus was the coolers and beach chairs, that we made use of every day. Cindy was very easy to work with, and the ladies she hired to show us to the villa and answer any questions we might have were also easy to reach and very helpful.

We loved the little cat who hangs around and we were able to feed him with food left by Cindy. The kids loved to feed and pet him every morning. We also enjoyed the occasional small lizard on the patio. But no large insects, no rodents, so it felt very clean and tidy. Ants, yes, but it is the Caribbean and they’re unavoidable. Just make sure to do your dishes and take out the garbage daily.

Restaurant recommendations: AquaBistro, Indigo Grill, Skinny Legs and Shipwreck Landing (Coral Bay) and Café Roma (Cruise Bay), Pirates Bight (Norman Island)

Snorkeling recommendations: The Indians at Norman Island (the best!), Maho Bay (turtles!), Francis Bay and Little Lameshur.

Excursion recommendation: Palm Tree Charters – Peter Island, the Indians and caves at Norman Island, Pirates Bight, and painkillers at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost. Captain Ryan and the owners were super friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We miss you already St. John! We will be back!

Amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Casa Yaya for our 6 year anniversary trip and I can tell you the house and view was more than we could have imagined. It was perfectly private and amazing! (we are picky, so trust me on this) The furnishings, interior decor, and the design of the outdoor showers were unique and fabulous. The expansive deck was breathtaking! The kitchen was well equipped.... I made breakfast for us every morning and we had our lunch and dinners out. Our favorite lunch stops were Shipwreck Landing and Miss Lucy's and our dinners were at Aqua Bistro and Indigo. Snorkeling at Maho Bay is a must!! You will love the vibe in these cool island restaurants. You must try the island favorite drinks: Lime in da Coconut and a Painkiller...so yummy. If you want to experience a trip of a lifetime, you will be glad you stayed at Casa Yaya.

Vacation of a lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Casa ya ya for 8 amazing days to celebrate our 20th anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the stunning views took our breath away. The villa is tucked into the hill and above the trees, making it very private. It's well laid out, tastefully decorated, very comfortable and has everything you would need. The outdoor shower is like a room in itself, was amazing. The view from the large deck overlooking the bay is spectacular. It was so relaxing spending mornings having coffee on the deck, and swimming in the pool after a day out was perfect. The views at night were just as beautiful with the moon and stars shining on the bay, and the sound of the peep frogs. There was always a nice breeze, so we never had to use the AC. The town of Coral Bay has an inviting neighborhood and it had just enough restaurant choices to keep it interesting. Cindy was wonderful to work with and was always quick to respond. We highly recommend Casa ya ya for it's beauty, tranquility and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you so much for sharing your special piece of paradise!! It was one of the most memorable vacations we've ever had. We'll defintely be back! Y and Joe

An Amazing Villa!!

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a very special place to stay on St. John with the most spectacular view that you can imagine, Casa YaYa is definitely the place for you!! We had the good fortune to stay at Casa YaYa April 16 - 23, 2016 and cannot recommend this villa highly enough. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, Cindy and Bill are very attentive and responsive to their guests' needs and requests, and once you walk out onto the patio/pool area and see the view, you'll wish that you never had to leave!! We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and can't wait to go back!

Nice central location Coral Bay St. John

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at casayaya March 19-25, 2016. The casayaya location was very centrally located for what all our family of five (2 parents, 1 teenager, 9 yr old, 5 yr old) wanted to do while on St. John for this visit. We had been on St. John for a day trip on a previous trip and wanted to see more of the Coral Bay area, hence our 7 day stay. We were able to eat in the dining spots around Coral Bay, see the Eastern end of St. John, and still be able to be close to the northside beaches, all easily from casayaya. We visited Trunk Bay Beach, Cinnamon Bay Beach, and Maho Bay Beach (twice) on day trips out of casayaya. And, drove up to Cruz Bay a couple of times for a souvenirjewelery run, which was not really that far. The roads to Cruz Bay were a little winding, but really wasn't bad at all if you have a jeep. The main road on the northside of the island that leads by the beaches seems to be in a little better shape than the main road from Cruz Bay to casayaya that is on the south side of the island. While we drove around the Coral Bay areas we saw donkeys, goats, sugar birds, and hummingbirds. The hummingbirds were around in the morning and late afternoons. We saw a mongoose cross the road near Asolare restaurant. We did not see any Iguanas on St. John that I recall (other than a couple that I believe had been run over). The views from casayaya were fantastic, both at night and daytime. The air was so fresh at the altitude of casayaya, with the nice swing to relax in on the deck (missing it now). The kids liked the pool and played in it 2 or 3 afternoons. The owners of casayaya have really provided a wonderful vacation spot to base our day adventures from. Which met or sometimes exceeded our expectations. This is a vacation that we hope our 5 and 9 year olds will remember for a long time. Our 18 year old loved the skeeter swatter and telescope. Our 9 year old loved the St. John and fish books. And, our 5 year old loved playing dominoes that were there. Us parents loved the swing on the deck and outdoor shower. Seemed to be something for everyone. We also cooked 2-3 meals in the kitchen. The area did experience a power outage of about 12 hours (1am-1pm) best we could tell, so we headed out to Cruz Bay that morning and decided to shop more that day. It did not interrupt us very much. We did not eat our breakfast in that day but had it to eat another day instead. We were on vacation relaxing so the ordinary stresses of worklife just weren't there.

Spectacular!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week at Casa YaYa and we cannot say enough good things about it! The home is gorgeous, open and airy. The bedrooms are spacious and all have amazing views. The outdoor space is beyond amazing. Views, pool, lots of room for sunning or relaxing with a good book. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you need for cooking. We used the gas grill a few nights to cook dinners, enjoying the pool too much to want to head out to a restaurant. The owners were gracious and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We will be back! Jen & Doug
