Views of city lights and minutes from Santa Fe's downtown Plaza, Shops and Restaurants.
The owner personally enjoys this location for it's proximity to the dining and entertainment Galleries on Canyon Road and all that downtown Santa Fe has to offer. Viewing the sunset from a private terrace in the Santa Fe evening breeze is peaceful and relaxing!
My friends and I stayed in this gorgeous home because their sister property downtown, the Antigua Inn was booked. We come to Santa Fe every year, and this time to see the golden aspens. The home (Cerra Rosa) was spectacular: quiet, serene, great location (5 minutes to Canyon Rd, and downtown), and beautifully furnished. The pool and outdoor spa was an inviting end of the day. I particularly enjoyed the indoor spa as well. The Jurra coffee maker was superb; and the coffee is roasted by the owner, and was so good, I ordered it online when I got home. The beds were comfortable, and there are 4 outdoor spaces to relax: there's a private balcony with great mountain views right off the master BR, a very large patio with pool and enclosed eating table, and an upper level deck with grill near the hot tub. The master bedroom was spacious, private, and furnished with the most incredible king headboard, and hand carved doors. It seems everything in the house is hand wrought. If this home is booked, look for their other property in town, the Antigua Inn. We had stayed there 3 times, and it's an unbelievably restored B&B right in town, but on a very quiet street. I think the owners' imprint on these properties is unique: it's obviously a labor of love.
We stayed at this home for a week in July 2015. This is a lovely home with many custom features (beautiful views, nice kitchen, bathtub, yard, etc). We started out a bit nervous about the house actually being REAL when we had not received any rental information until we inquired two days before our arrival. The house does exist! We arrived at the property as scheduled and were warmly greeted by Laine who was lovely with recommendations and assistance on activities during our stay (and stopped by with cookies & flowers on one day).
Unfortunately, on arrival, the pool was being re-chlorinated as a result of a recent storm, therefore, it was not until the third day of our rental that we were actually able to use the pool. This entailed numerous folks coming by and more importantly, around the clock noise from the pool equipment running to filter out the chlorine. We learned on day 3 that a swimmable pool could actually be accomplished immediately with a neutralizer (and no noise!) and still don't completely understand why the neutralizer would not have been done immediately to allow us to use the pool?
Overall, the interior of the house (kitchen, laundry room) was the best equipped of any rental property that we have stayed in (numerous countries, many cities) in terms of supplies. The only exception was that a very small bottle of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel did not last more than 2 days (for our group of 4) so suggest you bring your own (or pick some up at the amazing SF Farmer's Market).
The reason that this could not be a five star review (aside from the pool issue which I really think should have generated a partial rental amount concession once the issue dragged into Day 3) is aside from the issues with the pool, the house is terribly noisy with the pool equipment running and we could only sleep with all systems (including air con) turned off (which we learned could be done after 2 nights of minimal sleep). Even with everything turned off on the main system, in the upper and lower master bedrooms, we still heard a lot of rattling from just the wind (or potentially animals on the roof) which caused waking up and staying awake on numerous nights.
Once the pool, hot tub and slide were working, we truly had great days enjoying the outside. Santa Fe is an amazing city. If the interior noise problems could be fixed so that we could have the systems running AND still get a good night's sleep, we would definitely return.
My family of 3 stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed every minute. The house is beautiful and the
backyard hot tub, slide and pool was incredible. Everything was well maintained. We will
definitely be back.
Great home to relax in and the pool and outdoor area is fabulous. Inside the pool table and sun room made it extra special too.
Wow! My family and I really enjoyed our stay immensely. The water features are perfect for young kids. The house is spacious, incredibly well maintained, and comfortable. We'll be back again for sure!
My family of five stayed here for just under a week in June 2015, we enjoyed every aspect of this premier rental home. The views, the grounds, the garden, pool and spas, just something for everybody. We had plans to explore the area and chose to stay around the house because it's so beautiful and serene there. I can only hope we can come back and enjoy this again.
