This property is prime location for many activities. And if you love peace and quick when you look out the back of the house there is nothing but forest and wildlife. Love this area because I loved skiing and would ski Shawnee, Big Bolder, Camel back. They are all with in a reasonable drive

July 4th Family Weekend!

I was in search for a fun, child friendly but yet fun for the adults! And I must say this home was perfect for us. A family of 4 with kids was PERFECT! It was large and had just the right amount of space for kids to play and adults to enjoy but not far from keeping our eyes on the kiddies. Having 2 rooms family and living room (with a TV in each room) made this great for the kids to watch their shows and the Men to watch their sports :). The deck was amazing, perfect amount of seating we all enjoyed summer dinners outside. The home is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac safe for the kids to play outside and no worries. The kitchen my favorite room!! They say you always hang out in the kitchen. We had great laughs cooking. The weekend sun was warm and perfect for swimming at the Saw Creek Community pool which had a wonderful playground for the kids. This area was super clean we also enjoyed the indoor pool! The kids asked us when we are going BACK! The home owner Hector was super pleasant and walked me thru everything! He was available by phone whenever I had any questions ( and being a holiday weekend that was very nice he took time out from his own family for us ). We enjoyed the wonderful fireworks at Camelback Mountain which was only a 45 min drive. There is so many activities to do in this area! We enjoyed Bushkill Falls, the outlets and the Saw Creek Rec area. We are already planning our next fall trip and ready to book the home AGAIN.. our kids can not wait! Hector thank you for a wonderful experience and a memorable one for our families and kids! That is what matters most to us is that our kids were able to bond and enjoy life away from the city! We look forward to many more vacations at your home!

Great GetAway Home

My family & I had a great time last weekend. We were a big group and the house was the perfect size. Everything went smoothly since Hector was always in contact with me. I would definitely recommend this rental & will be returning soon. The amenities are awesome. Pools are great!!!

Owner extremely anal - beware of hidden fees

The owner is very unreasonable and particular about cleanliness and extremely difficult to deal with. The cleaning fee basically only covers the cleaning of the linens. Before our stay, we were very sternly lectured to clean the grill, clean the kitchen floors and wash our dishes before we leave. If for some reason, any of the above doesn't happen, a charge will be applied and deducted from your deposit without your consent. Not only did we do the above during our stay, our entire party spent an hour before we checked out emptying the trash out of every room, making the beds, wiping the counters, tables, etc. and basically returning the house to the condition it was found in. Nonetheless we were still charged for not taking the garbage out to the garbage bins near the community pools despite the fact that the contract only reads to “make sure that the garbage is secure in the garbage canister in the garage”. Only after 3 polite messages with the owner did he finally acknowledge the glaring omission in the contract and withdraw the charge. If the owner had any one of a) knowledge of contract law, b) common sense, or c) human decency, then this wouldn’t have been raised as an issue.

The house is actually nicer than it seems in the picture. But the kitchen was missing a number of essential items that you would normally expect, including a frying pan, cutting knife, BBQ cooking utensils, etc. Also the BBQ grill was pretty crappy – our food did not have a “grilled” effect. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The house is also not located in the best of neighborhoods in our opinion. The facilities near the house are a nice bonus, though.

You should treat renting this house like you would borrowing your boss’ house for the weekend. Return it in the condition it was found in, and make sure there was no trace you were ever there because apparently the rental fee and cleaning fee covers nothing.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you had a negative experience. I try to accommodate each renter and this includes ensuring the house stays in the condition suitable for the next renter. I use a cleaning service, (which does handle linens, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning the bathroom and the entire house) but unfortunately it does not include taking the trash to the dumpster. I did advise that the garbage needed to be brought to the dumpster over the phone, but I could understand your confusion. However, the funny thing is that I never had one conversation with the individual who posted the review. I never suggested that the floor should be mopped and scrubbed. And, yes, I did advise the woman over the phone that you may use the grill, but you must clean it as well because the cleaning company charges me an additional $50 to clean the grill. As for the brand new grill being so bad... your the first to complain. You also addressed that you texted me three times regarding the $20 charge for leaving your garbage in the basement garage. To be clear, the texts were actually three in a row (back to back), and I immediately responded within minutes and complied with your request and refunded your money. Again I am sorry your experience was negative. I have constantly made myself available to you the entire weekend. There were also cooking utensils at the house. This is a new home and at the time, I did not have a grill set at the house. My apologies. However, you could have made do with the spatula and indoor cooking set there. Also, to ensure all future renters, I have made sure to make the proper changes to fulfill your experience based upon previous suggestions. Sincerely, Hector Rodriguez

Nice house for large group

Our group stayed here for our church retreat. The house was very clean and new. The owner was very flexible and easy to contact. I recieved the security deposite very fast. I would stay here again.

RENT THIS HOME!

Absolutely loved this home and plan on renting again. Everything was nice an clean. The pictures do not do the home justice. The owner of the home is also awesome, always made himself available to answer any questions and did so promptly. No complaints.
