The whole stay was superb!!!

The house was clean and quiet. There is a free access to the owner's desktop and Apple TV. The bedrooms and washroom were clean and organized. Overall, we were satisfied. The place is highly recommended.

Either the owner or VRBO listed the property incorrectly. We were not prepared for a SHARED ACCOMMODATION. At 11:30pm we learned this when the owner showed up. At this point we packed up and left. We had been on the property for less then 3 hours. The owner charged us $133.00 for this mistake and we had to wait another 10 days to have our damage deposit returned to us. Would I stay at this rental absolutely NOT.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback. Apparently the listing wasn’t clear enough in stating that the property was shared. It seems the guest might have overlooked where it said shared accommodation in the title. This may have been an honest mistake on her part, however this situation could have been resolved swiftly and painlessly had the guest complied and cancelled the booking. She refused to cancel the booking because she wanted a refund for the reservation as well as the damage deposit which I was prepared to issue; however she failed to realize, after I told her several times that in order to receive your damage deposit immediately you would have to cancel the reservation, as the system would not allow me to send a refund. Other than that I think Lorraine and her husband would have made for great guest.

House was Spacious, but Issues over-ruled.

We got there late as the Ad states the wrong address. Came inside the house & it smelled so bad as there was food left in the Oven & it took a good day to get rid of the smell.

There was no Coffee Maker, which we then needed to go to Walmart & buy one.

No Iron, so we just wet & dryed our clothes.

Video games btw, only 1 controller works out of 4 & the games aren't the best either..

First night there, someone banged on the front door trying to get in, turning the knob, then going to the side door doing the same thing- scaring my 5 year old who was sleeping in the Living Room. Told the Owner the next day & he said it was his friend coming to feed the fish- at 12 am ! We said we can feed the fish & no one should be coming into the house while we are here & noticed the basement lights were always on when we got home.. Not impressed.

Then the Internet issue. We needed that as we didn't want to use our Data but the House didn't have it. No cord hooking up to the Router. Asked the Owner again & he said he was in Europe so he couldn't call Shaw about it.

We used VRBO for our Honeymoon & loved that place, this has kinda killed our Joy. Going to try AirBnB next trip to see how that Experience goes.

I had to wait until we got our Damage Deposit back - 1 week after leaving, to leave a Review so I didn't lose any money from that.

Owner's Response: The address came up wrong on google maps because Google maps can be a bit faulty this was brought to my attention by Homeaway. I should have double checked to ensure it was correct so thanks for mentioning that, it’s been updated. As for the smell my cleaners would take full responsibility, so I sincerely apologize for that. There is an iron which I assume you may not have been able to find. The video games in the living room were being sold and was never listed as an amenity. And as for my friend their was miscommunication between me and him because I did mention there were guest at my place. The basement is an entirely separate suite whichever is not listed as part of the space, and for the light being left on that was the property manager who checks on the basement suite. The internet was should have worked fine payments were up to date and being in Europe there was no way to contact Shaw as They only operate in Canada and have a Canadian number. Also Homeaway policy is that the damage deposit is not returned for 2 weeks after checkout in the event that there was any damage to claim.
