Title my experience
The bear walk lived up to its name. It was a great place to stay cozy, clean my family enjoyed it so much. I would rent this place again and we saw bears. A mama bear and her 2 cubs. It was great
An enchanting cabin nestled in the mountains
Every summer we plan a special trip with our son and two grandchildren, this year it was to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. I have always had Gr8 luck with VRBO and this year was no exception, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Walk this summer. The cabin had ample room for all of us, plenty of bathrooms, towels and a kitchen equipped with everything you need to make meals. It’s decorated nicely and has some beary nice touches. The kids enjoyed the pool table and we enjoyed the hot tub. The owner Diane was very prompt to reply to any questions/concerns that came up and Gwen the property manager met us at the cabin and gave us a brief overview of the property and answered our questions about the best places to eat, visit etc., which was a Gr8 help. She also warned us of bears in the area and we were not disappointed, on day 4 a bear walked right past the front porch as my husband was sitting there enjoying the serenity. Of course he jumped up and came inside yelling “Bear” and we all ran to the door to look out to take a picture. There is a lot more to see and do then there is time. Highly recommend a day at Dollywood and Magi Quest and dinner at Bennett’s BBQ in Pigeon Forge, it really was finger licking good. You also can’t help but notice the area’s devastated by the fire a few years ago and the hard work everyone has done to rebuild it back into the great Smokey Mountain escape it once was. We would love to vacation here again and would definitely stay at Bear Walk.
We had a nice and relaxing stay in the cabin. We were rained in 1 day, but we had plenty to do. My teen really appreciated the Wifi that day. It was a slight downfall we did not have cell service, but you get over that quickly. The beds were very comfortable. A couple times family from TN stopped by to visit and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit and visit. The dining room table is absolutely beautiful. Once we figured out to take Ski Mountain to Bader that made travel a lot easier.
Beautiful cabin great location to Gatlingburg
We loved the cabin and it’s location. We saw seven or eight bears which was pretty cool. My only suggestion would be a few more towels and extra toilet paper. Other than that everything was great. Would definitely book this cabin again. Owners were very responsive to questions.
Perfect for family of 5
This clean and adorable chalet is nestled into the mountainside. 3 queen bedrooms each with their own full bath was a treat for our family of 5. Plenty of space for everyone. It was very clean
And comfortable. Each bedroom has its own patio and another off the main living room. Beautiful spots to sit out and enjoy the peace. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. A pool table, board games, and hot tub kept everyone entertained during the evening and thunderstorms. It’s a quick drive down the mountain to the main strip in Gatlinburg. We saw one bear from the cabin and another 5 on our drives up and down from town. There are pools for use a short drive away but it wasn’t quite warm enough. All kinds of great things to do in the Smoky Mountains and this chalet is a great location to reach all of them easily.
Just like the pictures. Very nice, clean & homey.
The cabin was very nice & very clean. Owners were nice to work with & got back to you in a very timely manner. We had an unexpected snow & couldn’t make it back up to the cabin & they even offered late check out or another night at no charge. Wow!! Thank you for your hospitality!! Would definitely recommend & stay there again.
