Why Karen Trout chose Northern Idaho

Many years ago, my husband visited Wallace with the intent of purchasing a house here. After viewing many properties, the minute he walked in to our house, he was smitten. He phoned me and let me know he had found a magical house. And so, we bought the Wallace Haven! We hope you will enjoy your stay in our cozy little home.

What makes this house unique

The house was built in 1910, and retains most of its charming original details. The smell of the pine trees and the fresh mountain air is intoxicating!

We enjoyed all the comforts of home in Wallace. The location was very convenient and near the main highway, a plus for us.The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We liked being able to walk just blocks from the house for our coffee, meals and shopping.

Great place to come home to

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay In Wallace, ID! We found that there was so much to do there and in the immediate area. We brought our bikes and rode on a paved trail to the next town for breakfast and rode the Hiawatha Trail for the first time. It was wonderful to come back to a cozy, comfortable home each night to relax. It was clean and had everything we needed. It was also in a very handy location. We would love to come back to Wallace to do some things we weren't able to get to the first time and would definitely try to get a reservation at this VRBO again! Thank you so much!

Exceptional experience from start to finish!

  • 5 of 5

I have to start my review with comments about the darling house, Wallace Haven, it was very nicely remodeled and clean and tidy. The linens and towels were very high quality and clean. The charming house contained everything anyone could want for a weekend, weeks or even months. My boyfriend and I cooked our breakfast in the cute kitchen each morning and really enjoyed dining at the beautiful antique table.

Our weekend at the Wallace Haven was even more perfect thanks to the people of Wallace, ID. Everywhere we went, everyone was very nice and friendly. We Zip Lined with Silver Streak Zip Line and were treated like a King and Queen, it was the most fun we have ever had. The next day we rode the Hiawatha Trail which was epic. Wallace, ID., is the friendliest place you can visit.

Funky old home that is lovingly being revived. Very comfortable. Neighbor can be a fence talker if you let him, but he had many helpful things to say about the Wallace area.👍
