Hike, bike, fish or just relax in the mountains away from the city.

Bedrooms 4

Space 2,400 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

4 bedroom, 2.5 baths with Mountain Views right off the ski hill.

Our cabin is our family jewel, a place to relax and get away from the city. We are just off the ski hill at Summit East ski area (Hyak) at Snoqualmie Pass. Walk to the hill or enjoy three other areas, Summit Central, Summit West, or Alpental, within a five minute drive. In the off season, come enjoy the beauty of the mountains and all the outdoor recreation the area has to offer.

After skiing, hiking, biking or golfing enjoy a beautiful dry sauna, or enjoy time relaxing, listening to music on the deck or in front of the fire.

Just 25 minutes away is Suncadia; a world-class resort with fine restaurants, and the Swiftwater Winery. Golfers will love the Prospector course designed by Arnold Palmer, the Rope Rider course designed by Peter Jacobson and Tumble Creek the private course designed by Tom Doak. You may also enjoy winter activities at Suncadia like cross country skiing and ice skating.

We have four bedrooms; all with queen beds. There are two full-baths and a half-bath.

We love to cook so the kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your family. The house does not have a formal dining room. So with a lot of people meals can be crowded but lively and festive.

The sauna and mud room are downstairs giving you a clean and comfortable space to store gear and warm up after a hard day on the slopes. There is also a space downstairs for kids to escape to watch movies away from the adult area upstairs. A full laundry room is also downstairs. There is an office upstairs with a double bed as well.

You can expect a clean nice home with beautiful views, privacy and peace. You will have access to four ski areas, great hiking, biking and golfing.

Our cabin is unique because it is so close to the city of Seattle, yet so far away.

About Rick Jewett

We are a Dad and two daughters who love to travel and meet new people. We love skiing, golfing, hiking and biking. We also love the beach and look forward to adventures as a family and on our own. VRBO and Home Away will help us meet new people and explore new places in the world. We will be respectful guests and will expect the same as hosts.

Rick Jewett purchased this cabin in 1994

Why Rick Jewett chose Snoqualmie Pass

We bought this weekend get-away because it is 55-minutes from Seattle yet so far away. In the winter the snow is light therapy from the rain in Seattle and in the Summer the mountains are beautiful to explore.

What makes this cabin unique

Guestbook comments from the owner

Rick was a fantastic host, checking in throughout the reservation process to make sure our stay was great. The cabin was just wonderful, full of everything you'd need for a comfortable and fun stay. This is a great place for a family or group of friends to enjoy the Summit. I would love to come back! I highly recommend both Rick and this lovely cabin.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

The owners were wonderful and we had a fantastic time staying so close to the ski slopes. Lots of room for our family. We also enjoyed the wet sauna for our tired muscles and warm fires by the wood-fed stove every night upon returning from the slopes.

The kitchen had every utensil needed but we would recommend bringing the meal's ingredients with you as we found there is not a grocery store close by. Fortunately there are wonderful restaurants.

We were very glad that we had a four wheel drive Ford Expedition as the weather turned to icy snow on the steep driveway one day.

Great getaway; we wished we had more time to also try snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Next time we'll stay longer.

Awesome Mountain Get-away

  • 5 of 5

This place is GREAT for a family ski break. We had so much fun skiing and relaxing in the cabin afterward. An great sauna, wood-stove and so much more made it a great place to unwind. Plenty of room for all of the kids to have fun and the adults as well. Rick is a great owner who has graciously shared his gorgeous cabin via VRBO. He was more than helpful in answering questions and making sure we were good to go. I would highly recommend staying here for a couple days of skiing or just some time away!

Great location to Hyak for snowshoeing and sledding

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cabin, well appointed, clean, pretty, close to snowshoeing and sledding. You must have discover and snow passes both! Good idea to have a 4 wheel drive car in winter even though its just a mile or so off the highway.

Great communication from owners.
