Owner, Meredith Ringler purchased this lodge in 2005
This house is everything a retreat should be! There is more than enough room for everyone (25+ people!) to be together, while having completely separate areas for introverts or small groups. Despite the 6500ft2, the house never felt cavernous or empty. Instead, it felt open and cozy no matter where we spent time. It felt like one giant home and three luxury houses connected by stairs at the same time. Each floor has a huge balcony with unbelievable views of the mountain. (People now think I'm a good photographer, but it's just nearly impossible to take a bad picture.) The carpets were the softest I've ever walked on, and there are jetted bathtubs to relax in along with the outdoor hot tub. There are board and card games throughout the house to keep everyone entertained, and two laundry rooms to keep everyone clean. Another useful feature is the fenced-in pet patio area, where my dog could be off leash and outside without me worrying about him escaping. There are plenty of storage areas/containers for skis and other large equipment. Just a few hundred feet up the mountain is a trail that has breathtaking nature views. Bonus: The basement has the cutest little hidden bedroom that felt like Harry Potter's cabinet under the stairs!
If you choose to leave the house (which is completely optional, because you could stay inside for weeks and never get bored), the Vail area offers gourmet food and shopping, as well as skiing, dog parks, and hiking. So no matter what you are looking for in your trip, this location can meet your needs and exceed your expectations. I fully recommend this listing (and have done so in person to everyone I've talked to since I left). :)
Special shout out to Meredith: You are an incredible owner, a great communicator, and a generous, funny spirit. Thanks for your part in my special vacation!!!
I cannot say enough about this incredible home. Our family had a spectacular fall getaway here. The house had plenty of room for all of us, with a game room on the bottom floor that our children loved. We spent lots of time in the hot tub -- sunrise, sunset, after dark, enjoying the quiet and beautiful views. The house is beautiful and luxurious, and at the same time felt warm and comfortable -- like a home away from home. We felt like we were in our own private world, eating out on the decks, playing games and ping pong, and having fabulous dinners in the huge, upscale kitchen with every tool or appliance we could need.
We were so well taken care-of. Meredith was amazingly generous and welcoming. She was available to walk us through any questions we had about the house and to give us recommendations of things to do. The wonderful caretaker, Casey, lives in an adjacent apartment, and he was helpful and available when needed -- keeping up the hot tub and sharing insights about the home and area.
We only wish we could have stayed longer.
The pictures do not do it justice! It is absolutely gorgeous! The views from every level of the house are amazing!
We feel in love with all of it! Provides everything you need to have a fantastic vacation or get away. Loved drinking our morning coffee on the deck overlooking the changing fall colors! Meredith was a delightful person and big help on making our stay just great! Couldn't have ask for more. Thank you so much!
I meant to post this before, but you know how things go. We're getting ready to rebook for the upcoming season, and we'll definitely be heading back to this property. The home is gorgeous, plenty of room for our group of 15 and the kitchen is fantastic. Views off the deck provided memorable sunsets. The owner hooked us up with her personal chef who did a delightful job on a couple of meals. (Saved a bundle off Vail restaurant prices, too). From the Eagle-Vail location, we could choose either Vail or Beaver Creek easily. In fact, Pauli's Plunge comes off Rose Bowl right down to the house, if you're really good.
We rented this amazing home along with 3 other families. 8 adults and 7 children. There was more than enough room for all of us. It was perfect!
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare and eat meals together. The views were unbelievable! We especially loved the hiking trail we could easily walk to. Quick drive into Vail to do some exploring there, too.
Meredith is incredibly kind and accommodating. Thank you again, Meredith, for a fantastic weekend! We hope to come back again sometime!
Had a group of ten traveling to Vail for a boys weekend. The homeowner Meredith was amazingly helpful in planning a great weekend. The home exceeded very high expectations; Beautiful views, plenty of privacy, amazing hot tub, perfect game room.
I will return to this home year after year with family and friends. Is a perfect home for any season.
THis spacious 6300 sq ft home is conveniently located between Vail and Beaver Creek (12 min drive to Vail, 7 min drive to Beaver Creek); yet it is right next to one of the best hiking trails in the Vail Valley, which gives the feeling of being 'away from it all'! The trail has 4 routes of varied levels, 2 of which lead to cascading water. In the winter you can ski from Beaver Creek to the house, snow and expertise permitting. The views stretch 30 miles to the west with stunning sunsets, and the wooded acre lot stretches down to the golf course, which can be seen beautifully winding through Eagle-Vail, from each of the 3 decks. The clubhouse and driving range are a short walk, and the new community pool is at the bottom of the hill. Close to Fly Fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding. Can walk out the door and be on the trail for snowshoeing, mountain biking, or cross-country skiing. Feeling of being 'tucked away', yet a 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants.
