About Brett Boetto
The cabin is owned by two families/business partners who have been friends for over 20 years. This cabin has been a great retreat for both families. Partner Randy grew up in Merced CA, and Partner Brett has lived in the CA Valley over 26 years, but originally grew up in Illinois.
Brett Boetto purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Brett Boetto chose Camp Connell
The property is centrally located near both Mountain and Foot Hill activities such as snow skiing and wine tasting. It is easily accessed from Hwy 4 amongst beautiful pines and is an extremely peaceful location. It's a true cabin not just a house in the forest. Very quiet location with peaceful nature sounds galore.
What makes this Cabin unique
A true retreat from your fast paced lifestyle. A cozy cabin feel with a gas fireplace in the living room. A large deck with built in seating is perfect for your summer BBQ or just a glass of local wine.

Small cozy cabin but dangerous stairs
The cabin was cozy and well-located. Plentiful blankets. The bathroom is very small. The stairs are very steep, and I almost fell the first night. There is no landing; you literally step out of the upstairs bedrooms onto the stairs. I would not recommend this place for families with young kids for that reason.
Warm and Cozy!
We stayed at this little gem for thanksgiving this year and it was perfect. This cabin is great and perfect for that Bear Valley cabin get away. The interior is all wood which makes a nice and warm, cozy cabin feel. Its easy to get to unlike other BV destinations that have you running around lost in twisty mountain roads that seemingly end up in a corn maze of back roads... One of the perks is if you have Verizon as your carrier, you actually get cell service up there which is a first for us.
The deck was awesome and the gas fireplace made our trip perfect.
We will be back!
Cozy cabin in great location.
Perfect for our family of four! Very clean and had everything we needed and more! Steps to get in and some steep steps to get upstairs to bedrooms. Small bathroom, but great shower pressure. Cute kitchen and living area. Rustic and decorated as a mountain cabin should be! Great!
The cabin was clean, well stocked, enjoyed our stay, Thanks.
Perfect for a family of four. So quiet and the local general store was a great resource for basic needs and entertainment.
Cozy Little Mountain Cabin
We had a great weekend at the Boetto mountain cabin. It was clean and tastefully furnished. It was absolutely perfect. It was very nice going to a house with a fully stocked kitchen - pots, pans, spatulas, etc. We'd highly recommend this house to someone looking for a small, cozy mountain cabin.
Camp Connell is nestled in the pines of the Sierra Nevada Mountains @ 5000 FT. elevation. This is an ideal location as you can easily access both the high country and the foothills. Snow Skiing, Boarding and Snowmobiling at Bear Valley is just 19 miles up the mountain. The Camp Connell Store where you can find groceries, supplies as well as a beer / wine bar & live music in the summer months, is within walking distance. Big Trees State Park with its giant sequoia trees is 3 miles from the cabin. Several restaurants, a Brew Pub can be found in Arnold just 6 miles away. Just 18 miles down the road is the beautiful gold mining town of Murphys with its great restaurants, wineries, live music, concerts, zip line and cave tours.
