How to get there: Brithish Jet and RyanAir fly to Malta on low cost daily flights from the UK and Ireland. Airmalta has scheduled flights from practically every country in the EU.

The Maltese Islands are not very large, which makes getting around relatively trouble-free.

The public bus service on Malta and Gozo is a good way to get around as buses serve the major tourist areas, go practically everywhere and are cheap and efficient. The longest bus journey takes about fifty minutes; the average ride is between twenty and thirty minutes.

A regular ferry service links Malta to Gozo, taking about 20 minutes each way. A sea plane service links Grand Harbour in Valletta to Mgarr Harbour in Gozo.

Not a beach holiday but beautiful apartment

We have just stayed at this apartment and it was amazing. The views really are absolutely stunning and the apartment is spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. Keith the owner is very helpful and Sylvanna who meets you there is lovely and very helpful. This area is definately not for beach lovers as there are no local beaches and the little areas you can find are rocky and remote. But if you want sightseeing, georgous views and lots of history then I would highly recommend this apartment.

A room with a view!

The apartment is finished to a high standard with modern fittings and comfortable beds. The housekeeper is very helpful and friendly and welcomed us into the apartment. The main feature of this accommodation is the stunning view of the harbour from the balcony which fits two small tables and four chairs. We happily sat and watched the boats coming and going while imagining what goings on might be happening in the multi-million euro yachts parked opposite. There are good restaurants very nearby and it is only a 10-minute walk to the ferry to Valletta. Thanks

Great Apartment

As a family with two children aged 9 and 12 this apartment was perfect. It is newly renovated and occupies a great location in a quiet area. There are many waterfront restaurants just a 200 stroll away. Also taxi boats are near the restaurants and they will transport you for very reasonable prices. There was never a problem finding free parking for our rental a car.

We visited the more touristy area of St Julian's but were very happy to be staying in the more authentic Maltese area of Sanglea.

Excellent apartment

The location and apartment were excellent. One caveat before June 1st the ferry from Senglea to Valletta ends at approx. 7:30 so a taxi or bus is required to return to Senglea. The buses are easy to use and accessible. A car is not necessary.

Keith was very helpful all along and there was even supplies in the fridge when we arrived.

The view from the balcony was fantastic and we ate breakfast there and had wine in the evening. I would recommend a stay here as it was totally relaxing and lots of restaurants along the waterfront.

Design apartment with a breathtaking view

Very good situation in Senglea out of the hussle of Valletta but just 10 min ferrytrip away of it. Quiet surroundings with some good restaurants near by. The apartment is tiptop and elegantly decorated. Breathtaking view to sea from balcony, living room and master bedroom. If ever back in Malta would absolutely rent this again.

Not quite as luxurious as advertised!

The location and view is fabulous and parking is easy on the street right below (Xaft Juan B. Azopardo). When taking a taxi have then drop you off at St Philipo church in Senglea).

It is incredible to sit on the balcony enjoying the view of Valetta and watch the boats and cruise ships slide into the harbor. The narrow balcony only gets sun early in the morning. While the view is grandiose, the apartment needs a lot of maintenance! There are broken toilet seats, there is no hairdryer, as listed, and absolutely no plug or hooks in the master bathroom and unfortunately only a tub with handheld shower wand which makes it impossible to shower without soaking everything around you. The balcony doors don’t seal and there is a constant whistle of cold air coming through the doors. The second bathroom floods after using the shower and the toilets barely flush. The whole apartment and bedding (such as comforters) could also use a thorough cleaning--it is quite dirty. It’s not quite a luxurious as we had expected for the price! Doreen, the housekeeper, was very helpful and quick to respond when we had an issue. The views and the sunsets are grandiose and Senglea is an excellent location and much more authentic then Sliema.

Senglea is a fortified city in the east of Malta, mainly in the Grand Harbour area. It is one of the Three Cities, with the other two being Cospicua and Vittoriosa. The city of Senglea is also called Civitas Invicta, because it managed to resist the Ottoman invasion at the Great Siege of 1565. The proper name is Senglea since the grandmaster who built it Claude De La Sengle, gave this city a part of his name.

The island was in fact joined by a land bridge to Cospicua during the time of the Knights of St. John and as a result, it became peninsular in shape. During the time of the Knights of St. John, Senglea was also used as a hunting area, and was in fact known as L'Isola di San Giuliano, but later it was developed and made inhabitable by the Grand Master, Claude de la Sengle who built fortifications following a Turkish invasion in 1551. The locality eventually became known as Senglea but retained its old name Isla.

The club has seen many changes since its inception, when it was primarily set up as a facility for British servicemen stationed in Malta. Whilst essentially a members club we always try to give a warm welcome to all visitors who share our love of the game.

We have invested heavily in the golf course over recent years and feel that our 'product' is coming together nicely with the next project to be undertaken by the Board of Management likely to be a refurbishment of our club house.
