Bridgetender: Someone who maintains and/or operates a bridge to ensure the safe passage of water traffic.
No worries! You won't actually have to tend to the bridge when you vacation at this spacious Rockaway vacation rental retreat, but instead just enjoy the views of the Yaquina Bay Bridge, the entrance to the bay, and the ocean in the distance!
Relax in this beautiful 2,000 square foot Newport vacation rental home that has the very best location in all of Newport. Walk to Oregon Coast Aquarium, Rogue Brewery, and Hatfield Marine Science Center. The south jetty is just outside the door and the short, paved walk leads you to a great beach where you can watch, or join, the surfers, fly a kite, agate hunt or just feel the sand between your toes.
Cooking is a joy in the modern, well-equipped kitchen. Everything you need to whip up a great meal is provided, with dining table seating for up to eight, plus three more bar stools.
This four bedroom, two bath vacation rental home sleeps 10, plus a dog for an additional nightly fee. Three bedrooms each have a queen bed, while the fourth bedroom holds two twins - each with a pull-out trundle bed.
As evening approaches, watch the sunset from the living area and settle in next to the gas fireplace and watch movies on the DVD player or cable TV. Internet too!
Of course, all the attractions of Newport are either just a short walk or drive away. With enough seafood bistros, pubs, cafes, and family restaurants to keep you well-fed for a month, you may never want to leave Newport. There are plenty of antique shops, galleries, and arcades to explore, so rainy days won't be any problem at all. When the sun shines, you can head to South Beach State Park for a guided kayak tour, surf at Agate Beach, play a round of golf, dig for razor clams, or try your hand at deep-sea fishing. Newport has something special to offer every member of your family!
*Yes, you can bring your small dog with you! Sorry, no large dogs due to wood floors.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Spacious and scenic property close to jetties and beaches with a great view of the channel into Yaquina Bay and the bridge. Close to Mike Miller park also so great for dog walks!
This house was an excellent choice for our family of five adults and four children. Roomy, not crowded, with a large open kitchen, dining, and living room. The huge picture windows provided constant views of the historic bridge, and of the bay with all of its diverse maritime wildlife easily in view. Bring your binoculars! Crabbing and clamming were an easy walk away, even for our four year old granddaughter, as were the beach and jetty. Right next to the crabbing pier is the Rogue Brewery and pub. Even the famous Oregon Coast Aquarium was within walking distance. The washer and dryer made keeping us in clean clothes a simple chore. We all agreed it was the best place for our family vacation.
Great house. Incredible view. Convenient to EVERYTHING you'll want to see or do in Newport. Walking distance to a great beach, the marina, etc. Good set up for larger family or several couples.
Our group had a great time at the Bridgetender. The location and view are awesome and the house is comfortable and spacious. The aquarium and other attractions are easy to get to. We had a great stay.
What a great location located in the South Beach area! The open floor plan provides a fantastic view of the bridge, bay, jetties and ocean from the kitchen, dining and living room (as well as from a couple of the bedrooms). There is plenty of space for cooking and gathering in the kitchen. The large center island is great for serving food. We loved the 'Great Room' floor plan as it allowed everyone to gather together whether they were cooking, eating or just hanging out. Having the deck was nice also! We definitely plan to stay here again.
