About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 10

Bridgetender: Someone who maintains and/or operates a bridge to ensure the safe passage of water traffic.

No worries! You won't actually have to tend to the bridge when you vacation at this spacious Rockaway vacation rental retreat, but instead just enjoy the views of the Yaquina Bay Bridge, the entrance to the bay, and the ocean in the distance!

Relax in this beautiful 2,000 square foot Newport vacation rental home that has the very best location in all of Newport. Walk to Oregon Coast Aquarium, Rogue Brewery, and Hatfield Marine Science Center. The south jetty is just outside the door and the short, paved walk leads you to a great beach where you can watch, or join, the surfers, fly a kite, agate hunt or just feel the sand between your toes.

Cooking is a joy in the modern, well-equipped kitchen. Everything you need to whip up a great meal is provided, with dining table seating for up to eight, plus three more bar stools.

This four bedroom, two bath vacation rental home sleeps 10, plus a dog for an additional nightly fee. Three bedrooms each have a queen bed, while the fourth bedroom holds two twins - each with a pull-out trundle bed.

As evening approaches, watch the sunset from the living area and settle in next to the gas fireplace and watch movies on the DVD player or cable TV. Internet too!

Of course, all the attractions of Newport are either just a short walk or drive away. With enough seafood bistros, pubs, cafes, and family restaurants to keep you well-fed for a month, you may never want to leave Newport. There are plenty of antique shops, galleries, and arcades to explore, so rainy days won't be any problem at all. When the sun shines, you can head to South Beach State Park for a guided kayak tour, surf at Agate Beach, play a round of golf, dig for razor clams, or try your hand at deep-sea fishing. Newport has something special to offer every member of your family!

*Yes, you can bring your small dog with you! Sorry, no large dogs due to wood floors.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great house, poor house cleaning

 • 4 of 5

Great house for families with kids. 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs worked perfectly. Can't beat the location, walking distance to the aquarium, science center, brewery and the beach. Our only complaint was the cleanliness. We spent the first 2 hours of our vacation cleaning the counters and hardwood floors. I'm sure the owners will fix this issue and I would highly recommend this house.

The place fit everyone in our group of seven comfortably. The view was great and it was close to the aquarium and science center!

View from the house on the bay was fantastic. Truly enjoyed boat traffic and lively seals.

 • 5 of 5

Location of house is perfect for just sitting in and relaxing and close to sightseeing without having to drive anywhere. The home with the upstairs living area and large picture windows make it a magnet for just sitting and viewing. I would taking a spotting scope or binoculars to enhance the viewing. Lots of seals and birds to watch straight out in front of the house kept us enthralled. We were four adults and two children 3 and 5. The kids had a great time discovering new things and kept us entertained for 3 nights. No complaints at all with the house, it had everything necessary to make us want to go back.

The view

 • 5 of 5

We loved the view out the large windows of the bay. There was lots of boat traffic and also loved watching the seals frolic in the water. The home is very close to everything but what we enjoyed the most was the home and view. We did do some sightseeing but when we got back it was just like coming home! I would highly recommend this home to all ages.
