From the moment you enter the cool shaded patio, hung with fragrant wisteria and climbing roses, you realize your vacation has begun.
Oak Hideaway's charm abounds, from the built-in seating on your porch, to the fireplace in the living room, to the faux-finished walls throughout.
This cottage (one of four on the property) also offers the convenience of handicap accessibility, handy for those young ones in strollers, as well. Two queen beds and a sofabed sleep 6 comfortably. Each bedroom has a sink and vanity for convenience.....your family's comfort is our goal!
Fire up the barbecue, eat dinner on the patio, or just curl up with a movie in front of the fireplace — Oak Hideaway will be your family's favorite gathering place.
If you need accommodations for a group or larger family, contact us for additional cottages or see our VRBO listing #442846.
I took the helm as manager and part owner of Oak Hideaway in 1995. Since them I've had a wonderful time adding charming touches to the property including climbing roses, picket fences, window boxes, cottage gardens and faux finishing that I personally created in every cottage. Each year I love surprising our guests with something new.
Constance purchased this cottage in 1992
The original owners bought this property and had Oak Hideaway built with the vision of having a vacation rental as close as possible to downtown for families or groups. They had a wonderful vision back when vacation rentals were a fairly new concept in Ashland.
We have a unique location and offering in the Ashland Vacation market - a fully equipped cottage, within a block of downtown Ashland, yet private and quiet. You can park your car in your private spot and walk to virtually everything Ashland has to offer.
