This beautiful townhome sits a short walk across a quiet dead end street to the beach! The house has all of the gear you need for any adventure as it has fishing gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach cart and much more!
It is a three bedroom townhome that sits in Ocean Woods, a gated community on the north side of Cape Canaveral. There is access, via a short sandy beach trail, to a long stretch of beautiful beach. Guests also have access to two shared swimming pools a recreation area with basketball, tennis and racquetball courts and a sauna. The townhouse is very close to Port Canaveral where the Banana River and the ocean meet via the Canaveral Locks. You can often see Sea Turtles and other Sea Birds down near Jetty Park on the Pier! It is also a great spot to fish or to launch a boat for fishing excursions in the river or ocean.
First floor area:
The first floor is tiled.
A pleasant front sitting room filled with beach art & books. There is a game cabinet, book shelf with VHS & book selections. A small tv/vcr combo sits on the bookshelf, it's for VCR use only. There is a day bed and small couch and a linen closet stocked with beach towels.
A living room with 36' flat screen TV with Cable and a DVD/VHS player. There are two comfortable recliners and a large couch to stretch out on and relax. This room looks out into the private fenced in yard area.
The kitchen/dining area is updated and modern. The kitchen is galley style and has all the conveniences. The dining area seats 6. A sliding glass door takes you into the outdoor area.
The outdoor area has a screened in porch with table and chairs. Outside of the enclosure the private decked yard area has a gas grill. A great place to enjoy the outdoors.
The stairs and all of upstairs is carpeted.
The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, large walk in closet and full bath. Sliding glass doors lead to an upstairs balcony. A 28' smart tv with Cable.
The Guest bedroom has a queen bed and large closet.
The Guest bedroom for Kids has 2 twin beds. A TV with VHS/DVD combo and a Wii game with about 15 games. There is lots of shelf space for items. This room also has extra blankets and kids toys.
Linen closet in the hall.
Guests have access to a Full bathroom upstairs along with the washer and dryer.
There is an attached one car garage and use of one parking space on this dead end street. The street is great to walk your dog or have the kids play catch or ride their bikes.
This townhome has been a family getaway since 2001. Originally from Connecticut, I know what it's like to be in the cold weather!! We are now ready to open our home and invite Snowbirds and Vacationers to experience all there is in Brevard County.

Cape Canaveral is a nice small town, right near Cocoa Beach. The pace is laid back and the people are very friendly. There is lots to do in Brevard County. Come visit!!
Ocean Woods is a pleasant wooded community, surrounded by tropical plants and palm and oak trees. Enjoy the private trail to the beach, and the peacocks that wander the streets.
Our stay at Ocean Woods was wonderful. I am a recent widow with three teenage boys and we needed a restful place to heal. The townhome itself had plenty of room, wi-fi, a fully stocked kitchen so we did not have to eat all our meals out. A larger washer and dryer than I have at home. Comfortable beds and pillows in every bedroom. A nice master bedroom for me with my own bath and walk in closet. Good DVD and book selection for rainy days. A beautiful forested path (1 block to beach) with peacocks and wild cats to the beach. Cape Canaveral has more of a small town feel than the Orlando area and the people are very friendly. I will stay here again myself and my again with my family! The owners were great and answered any questions we had.
The duplex unit is at the end of a quiet street. We had 2 cars so 1 was in the garage and one in front of neighbors unit. Everyone we encountered in the area was very nice and helpful. We arrived at night so finding the path to the beach was a challenge, but it is by the back gate. We encountered many cats and peacocks on the path and even a raccoon who was pretty tame the first night. The kids enjoyed that. The beach was active but never overcrowded. The unit itself was very nice, very clean and as described in the listing. It has 3 bedrooms upstairs with 2 full baths up and one 1/2 bath down. It also has a daybed down if needed, we didn't. Florida is known for its bugs, but I never saw a single bug of any kind in this unit, Excellent pest control.
The unit has everything we needed in it, There are TV's in 2 of the bedrooms, one only has DVD,VCR service and didn't work when we tried it, but my son reset the TV and then it worked fine for the rest of the week. I think that was truly the only very minor issue we had.
The garage is loaded with beach items, cooler, chairs, umbrella, kids toys, etc. Again everything we could have wanted.
The kids used the pool twice, I didn't go but they had no complaints at all.
The back gate was broken so anyone could drive in and out but we never felt unsafe at all as this is a quiet area.
Before the rental Communication with Stan was very good, and during the stay we never felt the need to contact him for anything.
There is a large notebook in the unit to answer most questions about the area. The only thing lacking to me was an owners recommendations page for dining. We have had this in past units and found it very valuable to have unbiased opinions rather than brochures which all claim to be the best.
I'll offer my 2 cents here, on the pier for seafood the Atlantic is outstanding, don't go too late because when they run low on food they close early. We went around 6:30, had an hour wait and it was worth it. They served us drinks while we waited and spoke with us when time allowed. It's a small friendly type place. Next is Fishlips. on Mondays they have AYCE crab legs for $30. They were huge perfectly cooked and kept coming regularly. Their appetizers were very good as well. The last big one you will encounter is Grillz. Personally I wouldn't bother . It's a burger place at best and I don't come to the beach to eat burgers.

Townhome was very clean and well equipped upon arrival. Neighbors were friendly and helpful with questions about the area and Ocean Woods. All the amenities of the Association were well maintained and user friendly. Owner was very responsive to my need for increased internet speed and any others items/questions we had. They made our great vacation complete. We watched many DVDs. They have DVDs appropriate for both adults and children.
I love this town home!!!! We had everything we could possibly need and want. The location was excellent and everything in the home was so clean and nice. What else can I say---we will rent again for sure!!!
The town home is located close to the beach and there is a great place to walk a dog very close to the home.
The kids loved it, beach toys, bikes to use, DVDs to watch. We and they loved it!!!
We stayed at this property over Labor Day weekend with my elderly mother and children who ranged in age from 9 months to 20. It was about an hour's drive from Orlando and a nice change of pace from the theme park hustle and bustle. The condo is well maintained, spacious and nicely decorated. It is one of the closest condo units to the beach path (including the peacocks along the way!). The beach is a short walk and beautiful- and a lot less crowded than Cocoa. The pool is also close by. Everything was provided from kitchen supplies to all the beach toys and boogie boards we could use! Ron Jon's Surf Shop was a short drive, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We hope to return next year and recommend it!
For the price of this place, I was extremely impressed with the quality of my group's and my stay. The house was in a great location, the neighborhood was scenic and the neighbors were very friendly. As advertised, the house is a short walk from the beach (not to mention it is along a beautifully crafted trail). The house itself was a great size for our group and the rooms were clean and well-furnished to meet our needs for the week. One of the most impressive features this place boasted was the amenities provided by the property manager. The house was already decorated wth plenty of movies, games, towels, boogie boards, bikes, skateboards, fishing gear, and a binder full of information about the surrounding area. There were even little things that continued to convenience our group throughout the week. For example, I found myself needing foil for cooking one day and lo and behold, there was foil in the house already! I could go on and on about how nice this place was and how wonderful our stay there was, but the bottom line is: beautiful location, GREAT value, incredibly friendly and helpful property manager, and great amenities. The only thing that I think some would consider a con for this place is that the neighborhood was pretty quiet with not a lot of young people, so if you're looking for a place to party you're better off going to Daytona.
Cape Canaveral, is a headland in Brevard county, Florida, United States, near the center of the state's Atlantic coast. Known as Cape Kennedy from 1963 to 1973, it lies east of Merritt Island, separated from it by the Banana River. It is part of a region known as the Space Coast, and is the site of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Since many U.S. Spacecraft are launched from both the station and the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island. Other features of the Cape include the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse and Port Canaveral. The city of Cape Canaveral is a few miles south of the Cape. Mosquito Lagoon, the Indian River, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore are also features of this area.
