Overview

About the property

House, 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, Sleeps 16

Sometimes its just hard to decide: Should we stay here, or there? This place has lots of restaurants and shops; that place is quiet and picturesque. When you're stuck between the options - like choosing between busy Lincoln City and charming, tiny Depoe Bay - why not meet them halfway in beautiful Lincoln Beach? Tucked away in a quiet residential area of Lincoln Beach just a mile from magnificent Depoe Bay (site of the world's smallest navigable harbor!), let this lovely set of homes just a block from miles of sandy shoreline be the golden mean in your vacation lodging quandary.

Step into this beautiful home, and you're greeted with comfort and the prospect of fun. One of the first rooms you'll encounter is the game room, complete with an air hockey table for the kids. Head up the stairs to the great room, and Mom and Dad get their prize: an atmosphere filled with comfy furniture and a wood stove where you can thaw out from that chilly walk along the shore. (Make sure you bring along some wood). Stretch out, relax and listen to music on the CD player or watch a movie on the DVD/VCR player. Enjoy your favorite show via satellite dish or just gaze out over the ocean from the living room or out on the deck. The second building even has its own living room for added privacy.

The kitchen is nicely equipped for preparing meals, but please note there is no traditional oven or range. Rather, there's a medium size convection oven with two elements for cooking on top, as well as a microwave for quick snacks, a big fridge, a coffee grinder for a really fresh cup of java, and a dishwasher for easy, quick clean-ups. Weather permitting, fire up the gas grill on the deck and enjoy a barbecue. Plenty of restaurants between Lincoln City (about nine minutes north) and Depoe Bay (about seven minutes to the south). You'll find 68 eateries in Lincoln City alone that cater to every taste.

At bedtime, you'll have six bedrooms to choose from, for a total of 16 guests. Two bedrooms are on the main, entry level, one with two sets of bunk beds, another with a full/twin bunk (and a TV). Kids will also have fun drawing on the chalkboards mounted on the bedroom doors! This level has a full bathroom as well. Upstairs, on the living area level, is the master bedroom with a king bed and access to the private balcony where you can step out and get deep breath of ocean air (another TV in here too). There's another full bath near the master bedroom. The second building features two twin-size bedrooms and a queen-size master bedroom, along with a pull-out sofa in its living room and two more bathrooms. Willow Street also has a washer and dryer.

This beautiful home is strategically located, north and south, to some wonderful sites and great shops and dining! Bird watchers, bring your binoculars over to Fogarty Creek State Park - it's just down the road. It's not only a go-to place to watch our feathered friends, Fogarty also has lots of tide pools where you can see exotic sea creatures up close. Depoe Bay's rugged coastline is rich with marine life. Waves run beneath lava beds creating spouting geysers up to 60 feet into the air. In the town of Depoe Bay, a huge seawall runs the length of the downtown area where visitors can shop and dine with an amazing view of the Pacific.

Arrange a deep-sea fishing or whale-watching trip on one of the local charters. Head up to Lincoln City where you can stroll on seven miles of beach with 15 public accesses. Go fly a kite: Lincoln City is the Kite Capital of the World. Anglers can snag any of nine species of freshwater fish at Devil's Lake. Learn some cooking tips at the Lincoln City's Culinary Center. See how glass is blown at the Alder House Glass blowing studio. Or, try your luck at Chinook Winds Casino.

Whatever you call fun, you're likely to find it somewhere near this beautiful home, ideally located between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay!

Meh

We booked this place last minute because it was available. Wierd floorplan, no stove/oven. The beds were comfortable but not comfortable enough to want to go back to.

The place is conveniently located near a thriftway and a coffee shop that roasts their own delicious coffee.

Our stay was fun. There are great things about this property like all the beds for multiple guests, the 2 bathrooms, and living spaces were large and well lite. This house is stoked with lots of game boards which is great for family time! There is no oven which is a bit of a downer, no wifi, and our garbage can was full upon arrival so you can only imagine what it looked like when we left. I would not stay in this house again. I would rather be closer to the beach.

Owner's Response: We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the home and that there was enough room for everyone. Unfortunately, there is no wifi at this location, but having the board games and movie libraries makes for a fun time without the Internet. I hope that everyone enjoyed their time playing games together. Please accept our apologies for the garbage, we are showing Monday as the pick up date. We will follow up with the property manager in that region to make sure that garbage is getting taken out on the appropriate day and update our information. We'd like to thank you for your review and would love another chance to impress you with one of our other properties!

Willow St

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the house on Willow St. It was not too far from the beach and the kids enjoyed the legos and Xbox that was provided. The chalk boards were also a bonus. The adults enjoyed relaxing upstairs around the fire with movies and games. There are a good variety of games and movies - both VHS and DVD. The lack of a stove really did not bother us as we really only cooked breakfast and it was more than sufficient for our needs. The only glitch was that the furnace was dead. As long as the furnace gets fixed this will be a place we will definitely come back to!

Sandwiched between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay, this property is in a great location to see and do many activities. The home was comfortable and accommodating for the entire family.

Can't wait to come back :-)

Nice Home

  • 5 of 5

Great family frendly home within walking distance to the ocean. The kids loved the air hockey table, dart board and basket ball hoop in the garage/family room area, and the nintendo in the kids room. We also spent some time building with a huge bucket of LEGOs and playing board games. We would return to this charming beach house.
