On line booking at finnichcottages.com purchased this cottage in 1992
Finnich Malise Estate had been little cared for for many years and presented a major and exciting challenge to us when we bought it. First priority was to repair and re-decorate the beautiful Georgian house and then to start recovering the parkland with its 200 year old trees. A separate project was to completely re build the derelict 19th century Steading buildings and convert them into 4 holiday cottages.
The projects continue with the recent planting of 9 ha of mixed Scottish woodland.
The uniqueness of the Finnich Malise estate which was evident to us when we first saw it, was its location. Close enough to Glasgow and Stirling but positioned in its own 200 acres of grounds to give total peace and tranquillity, with stunning views to the western North over the National Park and with easy access to Loch Lomond , 5 miles away.
Lovely location with spectacular views. Very comfortable cosy cottages which have been restored beautifully. Everything you would need is in the cottages. Free WI-FI was much appreciated by our children. The walks around the grounds much appreciated by our dog! Patio and BBQ got great use due to the fantastic weather. We hope to be able to return. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay. The property was very clean and in good working order. Lovely views and great base for exploring Loch Lomond.
Outstanding location with comfortable high quality accommodation. Relaxed and friendly hosts which added to the feeling of relaxation. Great for families as plenty for kids to do rain or shine. Thanks for fab holiday! Hope to revisit soon!
Absolutely glad we found this cottage. We enjoyed our 2 weeks stay very much, really nice cottage, clean and with nice furniture. Plenty of room for 4 persons, plus extra rooms for laundry and gaming like table tennis and pool billiard. The owners were very friendly and supportive, gave us a lot of good hints for things to visit in this great scottish area. We will definitely come back for a second visit there, as there is still so much to see and do in the loch lomond area.
Thanks a lot!
Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in sehr schöner ländlicher Gegend. Man konnte jedoch alle Ausflugsziele gut erreichen. Die Wohnung war sehr liebevoll und mit allem ausgestattet. Wie haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen vielleicht wieder.
We were very happy to stay in this cottage. Everything was there and the atmosphere was lovely.
We really enjoyed it and it was nice to meet Scotland.
In the beginning we didn't know for sure which cottage belongs to us, so we were a bit worried (maybe only me :-))
Beautiful landscape near the lakes and walking areas. Thank you!
