Mountain home, 3bedrooms Sleeps 6, 2 bath. Two decks overlooking mountain range

Unique property at 4900 feet elevation. Due to the elevation, it is always cooler then the surrounding towns of Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin and Glenville. Three bedrooms all with ceiling fans. The master bedroom with king size bed is located on the main floor. The larger bedroom downstairs has two twin beds, the other room has a queen bed. Each bedroom has sliding glass door to the huge outside decks. Indoor and outdoor fire places with complementary wood. Fully equipped kitchen with ceramic cook top, convection oven, micro wave oven, refrigerator/ freezer with ice maker, dishwasher and cooking utensils. Washer and dryer. Pets are allowed, two dogs per pet fee. Non smoking only. Children welcome. Linens provided. TV (Dish Network) and DVD player. Phone local calls only. Iphone/ipod music player. Master bathroom with Jetted tub and shower.

About Owner/Property Manager

We live in Greenville SC in the burbs. Our fast pace lives begged for a get away. When we saw this mountain top we knew we were going to love this view. Morning sunrise with coffee on the deck sitting by the fireplace. We have two teenagers still at home. They love coming up on their days off and kayaking in Lake Glenville. To get ready for a week in the mountains we pack food, clothes, and toiletries. Everything else is waiting for us. That is what we wanted for future vacationers. No fuss; just walk in and make yourself at home.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Bryson City Area

Due to the elevation, it is always cooler then the surrounding towns of Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin and Glenville. The view of the two south facing decks is spectacular. Sun rising over the mountain across the valley is memorable. Summer activities include hiking everywhere, rafting on nearby rivers and boating on Lake Glenville. Restaurants, art fairs, antique shops, farmer's markets and unique clothing stores in nearby towns. Fall colors are mesmerizing.

Wonderful mountain getaway!

This was a first for my family of three and we definitely hope to stay here again! The owner did a wonderful job answering any questions and provided a high chair and other miscellaneous items for our six month old son. We truly felt like we were able to get away staying in this wonderful cabin was perfect!

As Good As It Gets!!

Having stayed in a cabin located in Tennessee for our annual vacation the past 16 years, we decided to try something new and went to NC. This was by FAR the largest and nicest cabin we've enjoyed. It was like staying in our own home in a beautiful mountain setting. Thoughtful owners have supplied almost everything you might need in their cabinets and there is enough room to spread out and relax as if in your own home. Other than a single trip to enjoy some shopping and walking around, we never left the cabin the entire rest of the time. Don't really want to give such a great review because I don't want to have problems staying in the future (and we WILL try to stay here again!) due to no bookings available. However, it would be ungrateful to fail to say thank-you to the owners for such a beautiful, thoughtfully supplied and well stocked cabin. It was our best cabin vacation ever and we plan to enjoy it again in 2017!

Mountain get away

After my sons wedding my husband and I needed a get away. This was one of the nicest homes we have stayed at with VRBO. It had all the amenities you could ask for. With an outdoor fireplace and indoor fireplace you were set for any weather. Will definitely stay there again. We might even share our secret with our family next time.

Beautiful place and view!

This was our second visit to Cashiers and this cabin. We stayed here again because of the overall appeal of this area. The cabin is lovely. It is well taking care of and furnished nicely. The view from the covered deck is wonderful. We stayed in the fall and enjoyed the inside and outside fire places. This is one of our favorite cabins to stay in and hope to come back again!

Hilton Head Island

Gorgeous views!

The home is wonderful! The views were spectacular! The house is furnished with very comfortable furniture and beds, and the outdoor decks had ample seating and a beautiful fireplace. The owner is very thoughtful with stocking the kitchen with every pan, dish, appliance, etc. that you would possibly need, as well as small things like salt/pepper, oils, etc. The bathrooms were also stocked with needed items, and there was even a supply of first aid items in case one needed them. Our dog settled in nicely and enjoyed the views as well! We loved feeding the birds and watching the hummingbirds hover! Guests must be prepared for steep & twisty gravel roads to the property (the owner provides the best directions) but the atmosphere is serene and peaceful once you get there!

Indian Land

Guests from Fort Mill, SC: This was a quiet and delightful residence for a peacful vacation!

This 3 bedroom 2 bath home was very well kept, and very clean! We were so pleased to arrive at a rental and have the home and all of the dishes, refrigerator, stove, bathrooms, linens and the like, all very clean.

The view was outstanding at some 4600 feet or so, and the place was very quiet. We saw the neighbors once and only ran into one car on the road for the entire week. We had birds visiting the feeder on the deck and chattering to us all week.

The internet speed is nothing to brag about, but it worked, and with careful positioning the AT&T cellular worked as well. Of course, Verizon worked fine regardless. There was a land line there if needed, which we did not.

It was nice to have a wide screen TV and we enjoyed the Dish programming.

DO NOT attempt to use your cellular phone GPS to get there, you will regret it. Use the instructions provided by the owner. I note that my car GPS worked well and was spot on as well. Neither AT&T nor Verizon GPS will get you there.

The beds were very comfortable and the silence at night is amazing. The outdoor fireplace was great and we built a fire there. Lots of wood provided, and plenty of tree debris in the woods to use to start the fire. It must be nice in winter having a similar fireplace in the living room. Wood fireplaces are so nice. The upper deck is full of nice outdoor furniture and the lower deck also with a relaxing hammock and another table and chairs.

While dealing with VBRO was not as enjoyable as this home was (the 40 pages of legal fine print required, the confusing emails from someone named Terry), at the end of the day it all worked out.

I would rent this home again.
