About Chris So
Chris, Steph and the girls are a family from the Toronto area in Canada. We've fallen in love with the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere on Anna Maria Island, and we think you will too.
Chris So purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Chris So chose Manatee County
Slide open the 12 foot patio doors to the covered lanai, then at the touch of a button, open two large Velux remote venting skylights in the vaulted ceiling and let in all that deliciously fresh island sea breeze. This house opens up to bring in volumes of that Florida sunshine, Gulf breezes and warmth that you traveled so for far to get.

Great house and location.
Wonderful house and location. Very well equipped. We had great weather for our week so most of our time at the house was spent on the spacious lanai. Chris was great to work with.
Anna Maria Island and the Lemon Cottage were both delightful and met all of our expectations!
This was our second visit to the island. It was our first stay at the Lemon Cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The weather was the only thing that didn't totally cooperate! The cottage was colorful and well maintained inside and out. We really enjoyed the large lanai and pool area. Chris was a real delight to work with and very cheerful when we needed to contact him. We would recommend this home and owner to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Loved, loved, loved the Lemon Cottage. Anna Maria Island was beautiful. Chris So & his family have a beautiful place. We were there Saturday, September 2nd and stayed till Friday the 8th. We left a day earlier due to hurricane Irma. We are praying for Anna Maria Island & all of Florida! Being from Louisiana we know what they are facing! Will return this was a great vacation! Prayers to all of Florida!
Fall Family Vacation
This was our second stay at the Lemon Cottage and fifth fall vacation to Anna Maria Island. The Lemon Cottage IS your home away from home. Colorfully beach decorated interior (and exterior) and very well maintained. It has all (and i mean all) the basic essentials for your stay. The pool is an added bonus, -- not big but perfect for lounging. We would recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of renting a home on Anna Maria Island.
The house was great and just like the pics. The owner was great to work with. He is very techy and was quite patient with me when I had trouble just turning on the cable TV. The kitchen is equipped with lots of spices, etc. that saved on grocery bills. The outside space is great and the pool was clean and very refreshing on the unseasonable warm days. I was surprised there was so much traffic on Gulf Drive at the time of year we chose to travel. I took advantage of the bicycles in the garage to scope out the island.
The house was great. Good size for a family of 4, enough room for a few more guest if needed. Pool was perfect size especially with 2 kids aging from 2-6 that were just learning to swim. Back patio is great with covered area and comfortable furniture. Short walk to the beach and easy access to shops and dining. We would definitely go back! Nice house and great price!
“Paradise without an attitude” is a phrase that has been used to describe Anna Maria Island. About an hour’s drive south of Tampa, Anna Maria Island is widely recognized as a bit of unspoiled perfection. There are no high rises on the Island – the maximum allowable building height by law is three stories. The chain restaurants have stayed on the mainland, not the Island. The speed limit is never more than 35 mph and the sun shines an average of 361 days a year with an average temperature of 84 degrees. With beach cottages and canal homes, the Island has a relaxed charm reminiscent of the Florida of yesteryear The seven miles of un-crowded gulf coast beach are perfect for soaking up the sun during the day and watching breath taking sunsets in the evening. For those hankering to drop a line, the island has three fishing piers. There are also fishing charters for the more adventurous. Dining options on the Island are plentiful with many restaurants offering a picturesque view of the water along with the meal. There are plenty of local shops to explore offering beach supplies, crafts and souvenirs. Visitors can stroll as they search for a memento of their stay made by one of the local artists and artisans. A free trolley service runs the length of the Island and is a convenient way to get around.
