Welcome to our town home in the Regal Palms Resort and Spa.
Our home features quality, upgraded furnishings throughout. It offers ample room, is bright and well maintained. It has a modern decor and a fully equipped kitchen. There are 5 TVs (one in each bedroom plus one in the living room). We provide FREE High Speed Wireless Internet and free long distance calling (US and Canada).
There are two master bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms and flat screen TVs. Two twin bedrooms share the third bathroom. All the bedrooms have memory foam mattress toppers and are tastefully decorated. The upstairs master features a new pillow top mattress.
Our south-facing back yard offers a patio with table & chairs to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. We do not back on to other units so the backyard is very private.
The resort has a two acre Pool complex, complete with Lazy River and Waterslide.
There are two pools. One is a walk-in pool area for the little ones. Additionally there is a hot tub, playground, beach volleyball court, daily DJ, tiki Bar, billiards table, dining, bar, movie night by the pool, health & beauty spa, gym/fitness centre, game room, Banana Jack's kids adventure centre and a 24 hour Front Desk.
The gated resort boasts grounds that are lush and well manicured. The resort is well cared for and always in showcase condition.

Originally from Ottawa, Canada, we followed our dream of living in the Caribbean and now reside in the Cayman Islands on the island of Grand Cayman.
Dave van Duynhoven purchased this townhome in 2012
We spent a few years renting units in the resort. We loved the proximity to Disney, Universal, etc. and it offered so much more than a hotel. We had an opportunity to purchase our unit in 2012 and did not hesitate. We still enjoy visiting the resort each year! The lazy river and water slide are big hits with our kids (aged 7 and 9).
Unlike the units that we rented, we have tried to make this like our home. You'll find new furniture throughout this well maintained and cared for unit!
There was plenty of space for our group. The house was clean, children enjoyed the pool. Only issue was wifi, we were unable to connect during our stay. Close to parks, grocery store/eateries close by. Entire group enjoyed the residence. It is exactly as shown in photos.
I have rated 2 stars based on our stay due to several inconveniences. Wifi was not working for a total of 5 days out of the 8 that we stayed at this location. Which cause overage data charges to my plan. In speaking with the front office who wasn't very helpful nor friendly, they had in house technician come and try to repair the modems unsuccessfully. I had to wait until Monday for the office to continue troubleshooting and repairing the wifi. The dryer was unusable due to pen marks and clothes had to be hung outside or on hangers. The bathroom on the first floor did not have a shower curtain which made the water spill outside nearly causing my daughter to fall when she stepped out the shower. I had to go buy a shower curtain liner to prevent water from spilling and preventing injuries to anyone in my family. Small insects were crawling on the counter tops daily and 2 Frying pans were unusable in which the handles were loose and also had to buy a frying pan to cook breakfast. Overall is was not a convenient nor comfortable stay as I expected. Also there was renovations being made and banana jack smelled like mildew, which prevented us from wanting to dine at the location. Very unpleasant stay.
Your property is very nice enjoyed staying here . Your blender needs to be thrown away we went to use it and it started smoking .
Overall our vacation at the Regal Palms Resort was good. We loved that cable and wifi were included, especially with teenagers. There were 8 of us that stayed in this unit so having laundry on site was a great bonus. The pool area was close to the unit and a perfect break from the parks. Grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, and other stores were close & very handy.
The reasons I can't rate it as 5 stars are that the kitchen pots and pans had severe ware, there was no can opener (we purchased one for our stay), the unit was not as clean as I felt it should be (ants in the kitchen & several wrappers and trash found around the unit from the previous guests upon our arrival) and the blinds on the rear slider were broken and could not open. Communication with the owner was very prompt but the maintenance company they employee did not arrive to take care of the issues until the day we departed (5 days after they were initially contacted). I would stay at the Regal Palms again but would probably stay at a different unit.
The Regal Palms Resort is a bit farther from parks and other attractions, taking 15-20 minutes longer to get somewhere, but that did not bother us too much.
We stayed in this townhouse for 15 days in March 2016. For our family of 6, plus my mother, it provided a good amount of space. Everything was as described in the photos and the unit was clean. Dave replied to my questions promptly.
As a resort in general, Regal Palms is about 25-35 minutes away from Disney depending on what park you are visiting. It is closer to 40 minutes from Universal Studios. Sometimes there is traffic. My main criticism of the resort is that I found the pool water disgusting. It looks nice in photos and many people were enjoying it, but as a former lifeguard I immediately noticed the cloudy water. Cloudy pool water means that there is too much deteriorating organic material in the water, overwhelming the chlorine. The pool was cloudy even at very shallow depths when it should be clear throughout. I did not let my children swim in the pool.
The description of this property mentions that a highchair is available. We have a 12 month old baby, so I would have brought my own lobster chair if I had known how useless the high chair provided was. The highchair is meant to sit on a dining chair, but there were no straps to secure it. The baby could not be safely left out of reach, so we ended up just seating him in his stroller. Another very small detail is that it would have been nice to have a dustpan.
Other than those two criticisms, I was pleased with the unit, and I would recommend it to others looking for accommodation near Disney World.
We spent 4 days here in January 2016. The house was so clean and ready to go as soon as we got there. The house is walking distance from the pool (which is amazing) and super close to the grocery store and restaurants.
Dave always answered my emails quickly and even sent me directions on how to drive to Disney!
The staff at the reception desk could use a little attitude adjustment ( and they could have another staff checking quests in, because 1 for 10 people just isn't enough) but other then that the stay was amazing!
Looking forward to staying here again very soon!
