About Eric and Susan Scott
We moved to Vermont is 2014 after spending a life time in the mid-West. Eric was born and raised in Iowa, while Susan was born in Michigan and lived in many states growing up. We selected Vermont for the laid back life style, stunning scenery and abundance of outdoor activities all year round.
Eric and Susan Scott purchased this House in 2016
Why Eric and Susan Scott chose Manchester Center
Our house is about 150 years old and located in the historic district of town that we have a keen interest in preserving. A lot of living has gone on in this beautiful house and it shows. There are no straight corners, plumb walls or level floors. But why should there be? It's perfectly charming just the way it is.
What makes this House unique
Centrally located in the quaintest part of Manchester Center, many shops and restaurants are an easy walk away. The interior is a lovely mix of old and new furnishings with all the necessary modern conveniences.

I stayed in Manchester Sept 19-22 and had a lovely visit. The Depot House is lovely. Everything is as pictured. Very clean, very comfortable. Well stocked. We loved sitting on the back patio in the evenings and the solar lights were a real treat! It is walking distance to just about everything in Manchester and parking was extremely easy and convenient! Susan was fabulous! She responded quickly to our request and questions, met us at the property and gave recommendations for dinner and activities.
This was one of our very best VRBO experiences. Definitely worth the 5 star rating!
Thank you so much for your beautiful review! We thoroughly enjoyed having you as guests. Please consider visiting Manchester again. You'd be welcome at our house with open arms. Susan
Great weekend getaway!
This house is perfect for a weekend getaway! It’s in the perfect location, walking distance to all shops / restaurants and a short drive to really great hikes! Susan was extremely welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and check out late. The house was spotless and comfortable! We will be back.
Thank you so much! Very pleased you liked the house, the location and Manchester. There's so much to do here. We'd love to see back next year.
Lovely quaint house!,
The Depot house was a adorable, quiet, impeccably decorated, charming house. We enjoyed our stay and would defiantly come back if we visit this area again.
Thank you so much. We'd love to have you stay with us again
HIDDEN TREASURE IN MANCHESTER CTR - HISTORIC DISTRICT
This is truely a hidden treasure! Tucked away in the quiet Historic District, and yet very close to all the charms of Manchester Ctr and surrounding area. (The guest book was very helpful with great ideas to dine and visit).
Susan was so helpful, courteous and personable, willing to help and answer questions or concerns we had. The house was comfortable, cozy and spacious, plenty of anything one would need for their stay. Everything (furniture, kitchen, beds, showers) all modern and up to date. The stackable washer and drier was a huge plus, as the towels and washcloths on site were fresh and plentiful, along with any laundry, we never ran out or needed anymore.
Most will say "will back".....we say "we are coming back!"
The wi-fi is great! Never had a problem .... for those who have to stay connected to the world...
Thank you so much for your kind review! We're extremely pleased you enjoyed your stay. You were indeed very special guests and we look forward to meeting again. Susan
This was a centrally located, beautiful home. We loved the location and this fit perfectly into our plans for Bromley Adventure park and Manchester shopping. Susan was attentive and super-helpful. The weather was beautiful and the upstairs air conditioning kept us cool and comfortable at night. The fans downstairs were perfect since the evenings were cool. We will definitely be back next summer! Thank you, Susan!!!
Thank you Jolene! We are thrilled you enjoyed the house and would love to see you again next year. You were fabulous guests. Susan
Little Gem in Village of Manchester
My daughter and I stayed at the Depot House for three weeks during the Vermont Summer Horse show. The house is very comfortable with a lovely decor and had everything we needed including washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, small patio, and a great location. The owners are very accommodating and provided all the small necessities we needed (like soap, paper towels, coffee etc..) We will definitely be back!
Thank you for your kind words! We are delighted you enjoyed our little house and we'd love to see you again next year. Susan
