MidCoast and Penobscot Bay Cottage Rental Photos and Description

On the shore, 2 Bedrooms, master 1/2 bath. Main bath with shower/jacuzzi tub.

Seaclusion is a gorgeous seaside cottage with amazing views! The location is perfect for exploring the iconic mid-coast delights from Acadia to Freeport! Belfast offers lobster on the wharf at Youngs and an interesting variety of delicious food in town.

Seaclusion is a well appointed 2 bedroom cottage that sleeps 4 comfortably. The light and bright master bedroom has a queen bed and private 1/2 bath. The guest bedroom has a comfortable trundle that easily becomes separate twin beds for space and flexibility. The large bright great room includes a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table. The vaulted ceiling, fans and over-sized windows facing the bay create an open airy feel. Completing the main living space is a direct vent gas fireplace, futon, comfortable rocker, TV, and DVD. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and shower with fan, heat and excellent lighting. The cottage feel is enhanced with clean pine floors and slate tile in the bathrooms. A washer and dryer is well situated behind a closet door for ease of use and yet not visible to guests.

Sit on the screen porch and read a book, play cards or just become mesmerized by the ever changing water and color of the sky! Ambiance and comfort are created with wicker chairs, ledge, tables for beverages and hooks for gear.

Chairs, picnic table and grilling space on the private lawn space in front of the cottage is perfect for eating, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view.

About Ann Somers

The Somers family returned home to the coast of Maine in 2010 with the purchase of this amazing cottage. The design, colors and furnishings were a family project. Life is a balance between celebrations, play and relaxation at Seaclusion cottage.

Ann Somers purchased this cottage in 2010

Why Ann Somers chose MidCoast and Penobscot Bay

Belfast has become our family's favorite place to visit. Some of us grew up here, some went to college in Maine and others have grown to love this happening city! The cottage is a place to gather and create new memories! It is a thrill to be able to share the sound of loons, seals, bellboys and the waves with our guests and family.

What makes this cottage unique

Whether sitting around the table, lounging by the fire, or reading a book on the porch, the sea is always in view! Sunrises, sunsets, kayak trips, walks on the beach and watching the moon rise on the bay make for a perfect day.

The cottage is a perfect home base for visiting Acadia National Park, Camden - state park and city, Rockland - museums and great food, Searsport - Marine Museum, great shopping in Freeport and all along the coast! The adventures are endless but walking the beach in search of treasures is the best!

Lovely

  • 5 of 5

I was happy to return to this cabin. It's lovely, and has everything we needed to have a getaway weekend. It is very well maintained, and nicely decorated. The cabin is located right on the beach providing a wonderful view, and the peaceful sound of the dingy bell. The area is very is quiet, but only a short drive to town with shops and restaurants. We love this cabin! Thanks to Ann for another wonderful stay.

Great setting. Crisp and bright

Would be 5 stars but for construction on neighboring cottage, which the owner warned us about, and wasn't too disruptive. Otherwise, perfect.

Senic comfort

  • 5 of 5

My best friend and I took our annual girls weekend to Belfast, ME this year and were not disappointed. Ann's cottage was clean and had everything we could possibly need or want. We enjoyed our morning coffee with gorgeous views of the bay from the screened in porch, took walks along the shore down near the water, and even ventured up to Acadia. We did not have any issues or need to contact Ann during our stay, but were provided with all the necessary info should we need assistance. I could not recommend this spot more, and hope we have an opportunity to return soon!

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary! The weather was cold when we got there, but the cottage was toasty warm! The bed was so comfortable, the shower and jacuzzi tub soothed and warmed our bones after a day of exploring! The view from our cottage was ever changing and we spent hours just watching the tide coming in and going out. The weather warmed the last two days so we sat outside and enjoyed the sun in the Adirondack chairs or sat on the screened in porch. There were so many personal touches such as pretty daffodils on the kitchen table, and the binoculars to look for seals sunning on the rocks or boats passing along the bay. The place is spotless the kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals. The washer and dryer were a real asset!Ann and Dave sure know how to take care of their guests! We would definitely recommend this cottage for your trip to Midcoast Maine!! Also you must try Youngs Lobster Pound and Delvinos!

Dear Guests, We have a DVD not a VCR. There is an free standing air conditioner that worked great in 2014 the few times cooling was needed - really helps to pull out humidity. We listen to suggestions from our guests and accommodate if possible or desirable. Thanks, Ann and family
