On the shore, 2 Bedrooms, master 1/2 bath. Main bath with shower/jacuzzi tub.

Seaclusion is a gorgeous seaside cottage with amazing views! The location is perfect for exploring the iconic mid-coast delights from Acadia to Freeport! Belfast offers lobster on the wharf at Youngs and an interesting variety of delicious food in town.

Seaclusion is a well appointed 2 bedroom cottage that sleeps 4 comfortably. The light and bright master bedroom has a queen bed and private 1/2 bath. The guest bedroom has a comfortable trundle that easily becomes separate twin beds for space and flexibility. The large bright great room includes a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table. The vaulted ceiling, fans and over-sized windows facing the bay create an open airy feel. Completing the main living space is a direct vent gas fireplace, futon, comfortable rocker, TV, and DVD. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and shower with fan, heat and excellent lighting. The cottage feel is enhanced with clean pine floors and slate tile in the bathrooms. A washer and dryer is well situated behind a closet door for ease of use and yet not visible to guests.

Sit on the screen porch and read a book, play cards or just become mesmerized by the ever changing water and color of the sky! Ambiance and comfort are created with wicker chairs, ledge, tables for beverages and hooks for gear.

Chairs, picnic table and grilling space on the private lawn space in front of the cottage is perfect for eating, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view.

About Ann Somers

The Somers family returned home to the coast of Maine in 2010 with the purchase of this amazing cottage. The design, colors and furnishings were a family project. Life is a balance between celebrations, play and relaxation at Seaclusion cottage.

Ann Somers purchased this cottage in 2010

Why Ann Somers chose MidCoast and Penobscot Bay

Belfast has become our family's favorite place to visit. Some of us grew up here, some went to college in Maine and others have grown to love this happening city! The cottage is a place to gather and create new memories! It is a thrill to be able to share the sound of loons, seals, bellboys and the waves with our guests and family.

What makes this cottage unique

Whether sitting around the table, lounging by the fire, or reading a book on the porch, the sea is always in view! Sunrises, sunsets, kayak trips, walks on the beach and watching the moon rise on the bay make for a perfect day.

The cottage is a perfect home base for visiting Acadia National Park, Camden - state park and city, Rockland - museums and great food, Searsport - Marine Museum, great shopping in Freeport and all along the coast! The adventures are endless but walking the beach in search of treasures is the best!

What a beautiful cottage to relax in!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time at Ann's cottage. Clean, bright, airy, comfortable, and great location. Right on the water. Located near Belfast, we easily traveled north and south from the cottage to take in many sights. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Ann.

Perfect cabin by the sea

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for a little fall getaway and it was perfect. The pictures online made it look like a great place to stay, but in person it was even better. It is steps away from the water. The location felt removed but only took minutes to get into town. The town of Belfast was also very charming. It has great restaurants and any other convenience you may want. We can't wait to come back again!

Perfect getaway cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this cottage and it was perfect. Clean, well furnished and extremely comfortable--we enjoyed the views of the bay and the location of the cottage. We were 30 minutes from great hiking in Camden Hills State Park and 1.5 hours from Acadia. It made for the perfect location and Belfast was a lovely town. Great restaurants and shops in Belfast. Ann was very helpful and the cottage was perfect. Would recommend to anyone looking to take in the beauty of Maine!

Best Maine rental ever!

  • 5 of 5

We've been visiting Maine for over 20 years, first staying mostly at the Cliffhouse in Ogunquit and occasionally in Kennebunkport at the Colony. It was time to head up the coast to explore, so we decided to start renting about 5 years ago; this is the best rental by far. Simple, clean, and tastefully decorated. Everything we needed, great details, and loved the easy to use and attractive fireplace. Beautiful ocean views! I came out of the bedroom on our first morning there and felt like I was on a cruise ship with a huge verandah. The windows looking out at the ocean are so well placed, just at the right height. We loved making meals and sitting at the kitchen table watching the ocean as we ate. Great Thai restaurant down the street (when you just can't eat any more lobster!). This cottage is a great home base for visiting some of the small towns up and down the coast, looking for antiques and pottery, and just relaxing, watching the ocean. Can't wait to return. Enjoyed the cheese shop in Belfast! Thanks for a great Maine experience, only wish it could have been longer!

Wonderful stay at the cottage on the bay!!

  • 5 of 5

Our trip to Ann's cottage was everything we hoped and more. Although it looks great in the pics, you really can't appreciate the gorgeous views until you are there. The outside is like a cottage you see in a painting and wish you could visit. Inside, views from every room! The cottage was very roomy for 2 and we liked that it had a powder room in the main bedroom as well as a full bathroom off the kitchen. We only cooked breakfast in the kitchen but it had everything needed to make a meal. It was bright, VERY clean and so cheery it made me sad to leave it every day while we explored the area. The bed was firm and very comfortable, plenty of of fluffy towels and anything else you might need. Private and quiet for the most part, there was some construction next door but it didn't seem to last too long each day, and we were usually gone during work hours.

Ann was so very accommodating as corresponded with her before our trip. Six weeks before our trip, and a few days before our final payment was due, my husband received a request for Federal jury duty. Ann was so patient and helpful while we gathered and submitted the info needed to excuse his jury service until a later date. Whew! We did not meet her in person, but I would have been tempted to give her a hug for being so understanding. Our security deposit was then promptly refunded as soon as we got back.

The center of Belfast is a quick drive away from the cottage with a great walkway, shops and restaurants. Acadia is about an hour, and really anything we wanted to do was close enough to make a great day trip. Camden was only about 1/2 hr away and another quaint harbor town with shopping and restaurants, plus some of the best hiking we did at Camden Hills State Park. Gorgeous views of the harbor!! Lots of hiking in the area, our fav thing to do. This was my first trip to ME, and so we had a lot to see and do. I would love to come back and stay at the cottage again just soak up the sun and views and spend some more time there, doing nothing. Thank you Ann for a wonderful vacation!!

Dear Guests, We have a DVD not a VCR. There is an free standing air conditioner that worked great in 2014 the few times cooling was needed - really helps to pull out humidity. We listen to suggestions from our guests and accommodate if possible or desirable. Thanks, Ann and family
