You can enjoy the sun all day long, but in the whole guest house it never gets too hot. The heated swimming pool is privileged: no chloramine in the water! What a pleasure! The secluded location in the middle of Mediterranean vegetation is specially enjoyable. The whole Côte d'Azur extends at your feet, like on a painting! The view is breathtaking! The living-room with kitchenette has a direct exit to the sun terrace. Your bedroom, with direct access to the sun terrace, has a French double-bed, 170 cm wide, of highest quality. Absolutely unique: “Mas Chouette” is situated above its own vineyard, which is surrounded by dozens of old olive trees. Spend your holidays at “Vigneron”! In the gardens there are flowering exotic plants at all seasons, the air is full of bewitching fragrances, paradise could not be more beautiful.
Connoisseurs enjoy...: Connoisseurs can also purposely visit the Côte d'Azur often outside the Summer high season. World famous artists noticed long ago, that on this sunny coastline, after the shimmering summer heat, there is a particularly amazing intensity of colours. Then the sea in front of Nice is full of beautifully graduated shades of blue. Already in January/February the mimosas begin to bloom. Forexample at Mandelieu there are whole mountain ranges that appear yellow due to the blooming mimosa forests, where the earliest mimosas are cut, as herolds of Spring. It is so beautiful to hike through this forests! It is not only the beauty of the landscape that thrills, you can loose yourself in sensory well-being. Please get in contact with us, if you have the time to spend the pre-season here with us at the Côte d'Azur. We are very interested, also in the pre-season (there is no real Winter-season!) to rent our villa.
Alfred Hitchcock ...: The view of St. Jeannet was chosen by Alfred Hitchcock for its classic “To Catch a Thief” as background for 2 scenes. How Grace Kelly with her undercooled sex and Cary Grant the master-thief perpetuated this region with the final scene, was really unique. Surely St. Jeannet with its impressive beauty, contributed to that. The Côte d'Azur not only captivates with the beauty of its landscape, the harmony of its little provincial towns, the glamorous beach- and party live or its international flair. Here you can enjoy all year an unparalleled cultural supply. With more than 30 national museums, the Côte d'Azur offers an incredibly rich variety of internationally renowned artists. Many botanical gardens and parks, not only here, but also in neighbouring Italy, provide singular experiences all year round. Not to mention the regional cuisine - oh la la!
The real charme...: What makes the difference which distinguishes the Côte d'Azur from other destinations, and transforms this region into a “high class” spot for holidays? The real charm consists in the high-end quality and variety of the possibilities offered. In the whole region of the Côte d'Azurthere are astoundingly many beautiful medieval villages, so called “Villages Perchés”, where it seems that time has just gone by. It must be more than 20 such magical places: Vence, Haute-de-Cagnes, St. Paul-de-Vence, Gourdon or St. Jeannet – countless (!) hidden or situated on a hill. You will need a lot of time to discover them all. And then there are these wonderful hikings in the mountains! As we know, the Alps rise at Montecarlo from the Mediterranean Sea. The highest mountain pass of Europe is situated 2 driving hours North from Nice, the Col de la Bonnette. That leads from sea level directly to 2800 m altitude. Astonishing!
