Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from a wonderful week long vacation. All six of us (and our dog) fit comfortably with room to spare. The main floor looks newly renovated and the kitchen looked brand new. Take a glass of Finger Lake wine out on the dock and enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets you'll ever see. Maureen was a very gracious host!

Comfortable house, nice neighbors!

  • 4 of 5

House was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook, just like at home. All the air conditioners worked well, which is greatly appreciated during those hot nights. The beds were all very comfortable. I feel that at least one of the bedrooms should have two twins instead of the big bed, this would help when siblings like to be together; but not that close together. Enjoyed the deck and dock immensely. Location could be a little better for my taste. The power plant and railroad tracks are a tad of a turn off aesthetically. Overall the house and owner were a pleasure.

Overall the cottage was nice and clean. All necessary facilities are there. When told about some concerns regarding the cottage, Maureen response quickly. Will come again in the future.

clean and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We picked the wrong week because of the rain and cold. The cottage was clean and very comfortable every thing that you need is there. We did get a fire started one night to roast marshmallows. The canoe only had one seat so no one took it out (not that the weather permitted it anyway). The maintenance guy was very helpful and friendly.

Weather didn't prevent us from enjoying lots of cards and games with family from Florida, Buffalo and NY it was great fun to get together..

A Great, Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

The property is just as described and even nicer in person. We had an issue with scheduling and Maureen, the property manager, was kind of enough to let us reschedule without much issue. The house while charming has a very small driveway, so conveniently enough there was parking available across the street. We had a great time at the house and also in the surrounding area - it is a short 15-20 minute to Lansing and Cornell. Definitely a nice place to stay again!
