The cottage is in Pinheiro, which is on the Ria Formosa Nature reserve, a rare, secluded and unspoilt spot on the Eastern Algarve. Wake up to the sound of the sea and birds cheeping in a beautiful calm environment. Take a stroll along the walkway and cycle route on the lagoons edge, which also has a fabulous fish restaurant All of this right on your doorstep. A birdwatchers paradise and access to beaches and towns along the Eastern Algarve. All within a few minutes drive from Casa Rosa.
Casa Rosa is a 3 bedroom air conditioned cottage, with lounge TV, WiFi Internet, dining and fully equipped kitchen. Including cool boxes and parasols for the beach, hair-dryers for when you do tear yourself away from the beauty and tranquility of Casa Rosa and a Barbecue for those never to forget holiday moments with the family
Casa Rosa has a double bedroom with en-suite, a family bathroom, a further double bedroom and twin bedroom. The cozy lounge has a TV, DVD, WiFi Internet and plenty of books for entertainment. The dining area is directly off the lounge and looks out the double glass doors onto the breakfast terrace with pergola, the kitchen is fully equipped, at the front of the cottage you have an area for late night star gazing and views over the lagoon.
To the rear of the house up a little path is the private pool area, for hours of fun and sun.

What you see is exactly what you get: The property is situated in the most peaceful spot on planet earth, it is a retreat for all senses. You wake up to the sound of birds and the scent of pine trees. It is clean and well maintained, and the managers of the place maintain just the right distance to make you feel at home, but not left completely on your own. We are a family four, and our two kids favorite activities is lounging around the beautiful swimming pool and going for walks along the beaches, watching all the birds and people out gathering mussels, and gathering some ourselves (Perfect with a chilled bottle of Vinho Verde underneath the pergola when the evening comes) You need a car to stay at Casa Rosa, and there are plenty of nice drives in the area. Our favorite restaurant is at the Fabricas beach, near Cacela Velha, and the surrounding area, which is also full of photo opportunities. We will keep coming back.
The coastal towns of the eastern Algarve are ‘real’ towns, far more under-developed than those in the Central and Western area of the Algarve.
If you are after a more relaxed style of holiday, away from the hordes of tourists and water parks, then the Eastern Algarve will be the place for you.
Why is it so undeveloped? The reason for this is probably because the towns along the coast are not generally right on the sea. They are separated from the Atlantic by salt-pans, marshland and lagoons. These form part of the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve which stretches from just south of Faro along the coast to the town of Vila Nova de Cacela, a few kilometres west of the Rio Guadiana river on the Spanish border.
Casa Rosa is right in the heart of this Ria Formosa with views over the sandbars...
The headquarters of the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve at Quinta Marim is worth a visit.
The beaches you’ll find along the coast are to be found on long sandy islands and outcrops.
