An incredible vacation!
We were blown away by how wonderful this vacation was! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The rooms were comfortable and the tree house was so fun! Sharon stopped by to check in and make sure we had everything we needed which was very kind of her :) We were able to use her canoe and kayaks to take a nice group paddle out across the lake one night! With only being about 40 minutes from Acadia, we were able to enjoy the peacefulness of this wonderful pond but still spend time in Bar Harbor without driving too far. I absolutely stay here again!
Glad you enjoyed the cabin! It's such a beautiful peaceful place to be .
Beautiful and peaceful!
I loved this place! It was absolutely beautiful. I liked the fact that it was a stocked camp and the fact that all of the necessities were available to us. My husband and daughter loved the fishing dock. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise!
Very nice and comfortable stay
Clean, neat and quiet
I read the earlier reviews from summer 2017 and I agree 100% with the positive comments since staying here myself. The host, Sharon is a very nice host who does everything right. We already booked the same week next year and can't wait to go back. We enjoyed the private setting, stocked camp, and friendly neighbor we met. The kids enjoyed the fishing and nightly DVD movie selection. Be sure to visit Cadillac Mountain in Acadia for incredible views!
It's so nice to have people stay at our camp and enjoy it so much! Have had great renters who treat our place like there own!
Piece of paradise
The house is perfect! We had such a good time sitting on the deck and enjoying the views during the day and hanging around the fire pit at night. We went canoeing, for walks, to Lamoine Beach, and also picked some blueberries! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you for letting us rent a piece of your paradise! We all can't wait to come back :)
So glad you enjoyed the cottage. Hope to see you again
Cozy cottage, beautiful lake, wonderful family time.
This cozy cottage is much nicer than the pictures make it look. The lake setting is beautiful and there is so very much to do right around the cottage (another nearby lake with a beautiful sunset view and a short, but rigorous hike to the top of Schoodic Mountain) with great views and loads of lush blueberries! (We actually liked the vista from Schoodic Mountain better than the views from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park - partly because there were NO crowds and the view was still breathtaking!). The proximity to Acadia National Park makes day trips very doable - the drive times to Schoodic point and Bar Harbor were accurately described.
Sharon was a wonderful host. We arrived in a cool rain to find the cabin toasty warm with the heater on, electric candles flickering, and soft music playing. Was truly a WARM welcome that made us feel at home after a long drive. Sharon, thank you for being such great host and providing such a perfect setting for our family of 6 (my wife and I and our 2 sons age 21 and 19 and our 2 daughters age 14 and 16). There was plenty of room for us all to comfortably sleep. The mornings looking out over the lovely lake with a cup of coffee in hand while hearing the loons call was awesome, and the nights with the dark skies full of stars you could almost touch while hearing the loons plaintive, almost eerie calls was priceless. It was a first trip to Maine that our family will never forget. Partly because there is so much to see and do at Acadia National Park nearby, and partly because Sharon provided us with such a great place to relax and enjoy the views. We thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks and canoe as well. Thanks again Sharon and all the best to you as you rent this property to others to enjoy and make lasting memories. We hope to return sometime in the future and see you again!
