Lemon Tree House is a self-contained, upmarket, stylish and fully equipped two bedroom cottage that sleeps up to four people comfortably. It is a delightfully charming Cape Victorian house with Oregon pine floors, sash windows and high ceilings. Situated in Fish Hoek on the warm False Bay coast of Cape Town, close to one of the best beaches in the country and at the foot of the Table Mountain National Park. It is ideal for a seaside holiday with swimming, walking, whale spotting and exploring the many cultural attractions of the area. Close to Muizenberg for surfing, Kalk Bay, Simonstown Yacht Club, Boulders, Kommetjie, Noordhoek and the Constantia valley wine estates.
The living area opens out onto a lovely verandah which overlooks an enclosed garden and is ideal for sipping sundowners at the end of the day. The house has an open plan lounge and dining room.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lemon Tree Cottage and recommend it whole heartedly.
We thought it was light, airy, comfortable and secure. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. The description and photographs provided by Sarah, the owner, give a very accurate picture of what a visitor can expect.
The property is just a few minutes stroll from the centre of Fishhoek, a small seaside town that has much to commend it. There is a long sandy beach, a good selection of shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, and there’s a large out-of-town shopping mall nearby that offers even more choice. The town is also conveniently located for visits to Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope, Kirstenbosch, Stellenbosch, and many other places of interest; all within a reasonable driving distance.
The Western Cape is stunningly beautiful with jaw-dropping views at every turn. Lemon Tree Cottage was the ideal base from which to explore it. We hope to return one day.
We had a fantastic stay at the Lemon Tree with our 2 children. The beach is a short distance away, as are shop and other ammenities. Our stay in Cape Town and surrounding areas was one of the best holidays we have had and we cannot recommend this property highly enough. Cannot wait to visit again one day.
