An unforgettable holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lemon Tree Cottage and recommend it whole heartedly.

We thought it was light, airy, comfortable and secure. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. The description and photographs provided by Sarah, the owner, give a very accurate picture of what a visitor can expect.

The property is just a few minutes stroll from the centre of Fishhoek, a small seaside town that has much to commend it. There is a long sandy beach, a good selection of shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, and there’s a large out-of-town shopping mall nearby that offers even more choice. The town is also conveniently located for visits to Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope, Kirstenbosch, Stellenbosch, and many other places of interest; all within a reasonable driving distance.

The Western Cape is stunningly beautiful with jaw-dropping views at every turn. Lemon Tree Cottage was the ideal base from which to explore it. We hope to return one day.

Wonderful holiday home from home

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at the Lemon Tree with our 2 children. The beach is a short distance away, as are shop and other ammenities. Our stay in Cape Town and surrounding areas was one of the best holidays we have had and we cannot recommend this property highly enough. Cannot wait to visit again one day.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Kaphalbinsel

  • 5 of 5

A nice house but the atmosphere of the house is not healty.

  • 1 of 5

It is a nice causy house on a good location. But without a heating far to cold to be rent in september. The humidity in the house is far to high. Thats why it smells musty by entering. There is to less ventilation which can be seen at the ceilings they are partly dark of the humidity. We had to leave the house for that reason some days earlier.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the comments, although I do feel that they are somewhat unfair. The weather was particularly cold during your recent stay, and clearly you were not prepared for this. It is a pity that you did not ask for more heaters! I have inspected the house and agree that there are signs of humidity on some of the ceilings. It would appear as though recent tenants may not have opened windows to allow enough fresh air into the house, particularly after bathing/showering. I will nevertheless be getting the dampness sorted out before the next visitors arrive. In any event, the weather is again bright and sunny now!
