Fun, friendly, energetic with a can-do attitude easily describe our crew, however their combined EXPERINECE is what really makes them shine.

Born and raised in South Africa, Greg and Michelle have known each all their lives. They grew up in the same town, attended the same schools and shared the same circle of friends. After high school each sailed off in different directions to pursue careers in the Yachting world.
Greg and Michelle kept in touch as they hopscotched their way round the Caribbean and Mediterranean and as fate would have it the old friends were reunited when each accepted a position on a Mega Yacht based in Brazil. The rest as they say is history!
Together the couple have chartered in some of the most spectacular locations around the world including Mediterranean, Seychelles, Panama, St. Vincent & The Grenadines and the Virgin Islands (which they quickly fell in love with as their favorite place of all).
Loving the laid back charm of the Virgin Islands, Greg and Michelle jumped at the chance to join Free Ingwe.
Captain Greg is excited to share his knowledge and love of these amazing Islands with you. His professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with his easy going personality and great sense of humor make him well loved by charter guests. As a Padi diver master, avid fisherman, water sport enthusiast and excellent tender driver Greg ensures his charter guests have just as much fun in the water as they do while sailing and relaxing on-board.
Michelle’s formal chef training began at Antoinette’s Cookery School, a small school in South Africa known for its culinary themed courses focusing on different cultures, countries and gastronomic experiences.
Michelle’s is a friendly attentive hostess and chef with a flair for making new guests feel like old friends in no time.
Her reputation for impeccable service and ever growing chef skills led her to her first chef/mate job cruising the Mediterranean on a private yacht. She has received rave reviews from all of you guests, making sure each meal is perfect for her guests.
Thanks to its well-designed layout, spacious accommodations, modern features this yacht is an easy choice for those looking for some of the creature comforts of home. When you first step inside this yacht you will think it is brand new!! The yacht is spotless and shines inside and out with care and pride of ownership. It has been professionally (re)decorated in trendy, but not overpowering, Caribbean colors. Our easy care materials and bright, beautiful décor are both functional and comfortable. You will settle in quickly and feel right at home in no time.
We have 3 equal sized queen cabins with private en-suite heads and showers. The yacht is fully air-conditioned (although rarely needed) and has an onboard water maker reducing the need for excessive plastic water bottles.
The outdoor cockpit, dining area, front deck and trampolines of this yacht make it one of the best layout for a charter yacht catamaran. The back transom and swim scoops make getting into and out of the warm Caribbean water easy for guests of all ages and abilities. We have super comfy bean bag bead and two huge bean bag chairs at the front of the boat that are perfect for catching some rays or enjoying a great sundowners.
Water toys include a stand up paddle board, kayak/SUP combo, snorkel gear, wake board, water ski’s, floating chairs & noodles.
Our powerful tender (dinghy) seats 8 people comfortably for trips to shore and is great for active guests who are interested in trying out our water ski's and wake boards.
We are both originally from Canada and have relocated to the Virgin Islands, partly to escape the cold winters at home, and partly to follow our gypsy dreams of living in the islands.
Alan has been living the sailing/chartering/pirate life for 12 yrs and i joined flip-flop nation 6 yrs ago - and it has been the best move of my life!!
Alan's first charter boat, which we still own and operate together was purchased in 2005. In the spring of 2013 friends decided to sell their beautiful yacht Free Ingwe and we jumped at the opportunity to own her and expand our charter businesss
Alan is the fulltime Captain on Catalyst Dec - May and I join him as chef/mate for All Inclusive charters as
In 2011 I started a small yacht services business on St. Thomas. I began by offering provisioning for yacht crews & captain only guests. This allowed me to make many great connections with a variety of yachts working here in the VI. I would often ended up suggesting these yachts to our charter inquires when we were booked. This was a natural lead in for me becoming a licenced charter broker.
Although I stay busy (no idle hand here) all of this experience does give me an edge when helping guests plan their vacation. I own & work on a charter boat and know all the in's and outs of these islands. I know the area, all the boats working here and their crews. I know the best dive sights, snorkel spots, places/prices for provisioning, ways to get here/go there /ferry around, to eat casual, high end or off the beaten path. I know where to stay when not on the boat, get flowers, hire a clown, renew your vows...
I have helped with it all. I am here on island and I have first hand knowledge, experience and access to what ever and where ever your imagination tak
Randeen Cayer- Owner Operator purchased this boat in 2005

Even better, your 7 day sailing adventure can include both, all, none or more making this vacation more than you have ever imagined.

Let your dreams set sail!!!
We have had such a fun, memorable time seeing the islands, learning some history, snorkeling, eating, eating, eating (Yummy!) and so many other great memories. The kids will remember this vacation forever – in fact, the highest compliment is to be a destination to return to since we always do a different vacation every year!! Danny told us yesterday that we could come back next year because technically we see different islands every day!! That is the highest compliment especially from a 14 year old boy who is hard to impress!! You have rocked his world.
We have so many wonderful memories from our trip with you both. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of the region.
Matt, the dives/snorkeling was AWESOME! Thanks also for the “off road” tour of the Baths. Next time I will do the jump! I think Kelly’s “ski” down the wall will be tough to beat! ?
Was the yacht everything you expected? ::No. It WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND what was expected! From yacht to crew.
How would you describe your captain Austin Marshall and chef/mate Philippa King
Austin King was a great captain, held great conversations, and was very hospitable. I must say Naomi was hesitant before going on the yacht to be in close quarters with ppl she would barely be meeting but she said they made her feel comfortable right away and forgot instantly they were once strangers. Phillips was great as well. Excellent chef and catered to us above and beyond our expectations. She made us feel extra special with her amazing cooking! We must say, we felt we made lifelong friends with captain Austin and chef/mate Phillipa.
Was there a special day or moment that you’d like to share?
Every day was awesome! I think we each had our own favorite day. Our each own favorite island and that's why we enjoyed the trip! In particular, Naomi saw an ad for "dolphin interaction" and screamed in enthusiasm about how she's wanted to "kiss a dolphin since forever!" The group has always known about Naomi's "obsession" with dolphins and laughed it off and said they would explore the island and lay on the beach while she "went to kiss a dolphin." Evan said he would go with her but wouldn't do it, Austin saw Naomi was a little upset no one wanted to share in the moment with her so he said, "I'll join you Naomi. I'll do it too." And he did!! This is above and beyond of what is expected from a captain and even customer service! Even the other tourists were surprised that our captain joined me and said we must be on one great boat! Evan said he liked & respected Austin even more for joining me when he didn't have to.
We chartered the Free Ingwe (March 2014) for the most unforgettable 5 nights. The boat was perfect for us. The cabins were comfortable, the AC worked well (even though I mostly slept under the stars) and the boat was always clean and tidy. Our captain's name was Matt and we believe the captain is the most deciding factor in how enjoyable your trip is. Matt is phenomenal! Anything we wanted to do and he would make it happen. His attitude was "We can do anything you want, but with only 5 days, you may have to make some trade offs". After we told him everything we wanted to do, (which was basically everything you could imagine in the islands), he crafted a trip that allowed us to do an insane amount.
Matt takes incredible care of the boat and his crew. He's always doing something to make the trip more seamless and care free! He knows the area better than almost anyone in the islands and knew exactly where to take us to give us the customized island vacation that suited our needs.
We chartered the boat from Randeen, who is also great to work with. We were originally going to dive with our captain but he had been injured the day we arrived so he couldn't dive with us. Randeen, without any issues, fully refunded our diving costs. It is that type of fair treatment that creates return customers! We also used her service to deliver all of our food and we had no trouble. I highly recommend spending a little bit more to have your food delivered. By the time you factor in cost of transportation to a grocery store, liquor, etc. as well as the time to shop, it just makes sense to pay the modest service fee. We opted not to fill out the food chart provided and gave a custom list. While this was likely a bit more of a pain for the person shopping for us, they did a great job making the most of the list they gave us (Just be sure to tell them to use their best judgement for an alternative if what you want isn't available or else you might not get it!).
Some background on our group: 6 friends in our late 20's to mid 30's.
Randeen is amazing! She totally helped us with planning our whole trip. She was able to find us a great boat and captain as this exact boat was booked our dates. We felt secure knowing that an expert was there to help and she really put in the extra effort to make our trip amazing. We did an all girls trip and felt 100% comfortable with the captain that she paired us with. The boat was perfect too. We can't wait to come back and will certainly use her again - hopefully this time she will be free. Call her. You won't be sorry!
This was a brilliant vacation. I was a bit hesitant before arrival. Geoff and Bambi were the most gracious hosts and set me at ease immediately. My husband, daughter and nephew had the time of their lives. The boat was immaculate, accommodations were the best. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. I'm not sure we would ever do a hotel again in the Caribbean. Every place we went was a new experience. The snorkeling amazing. Thanks for the best trip ever.
Your charter yacht will explore beautiful islands routes through the US, British and Spanish Virgin Islands. We can also arrange charters down island in St. Martin/ St.Marteen, St. Barth, Antigua, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
We are happy to pick you up on any Island location to begin or end your charter. Every charter route is uniquely designed with input of the guests so that we are sure to bring each group to their idea of 'the very best place to visit'.
Here is an overview of some of the activities that await
Always wanted to learn how, but never had the chance? Now’s the time! Feel free to help as much or a little as you’d like when we sail around the islands. Whether you help us adjust the sails or take the helm you’re in for a truly exciting experience!
If the BVI slogan “Nature’s Little Secrets” doesn’t give it away, then you must see it for yourself. The BVI boasts some of the most astoundingly beautiful beaches you will ever see. White Bay, Savannah Bay and Sandy Spit, to name a few, are guaranteed to take your breath away.
Take an afternoon swim at Dead Man’s Bay on Peter Island, or get lost on Anegada’s endless beach while watching the sunset. All along the journey you’ll truly feel that you are in paradise.
What’s your poison? Waterskiing or wakeboarding? Knee boarding or “noodling”? Snorkeling or kayaking? We’ve got it all! No need to bring your equipment as we have everything you need to spend your time in the water the way you like!
Interested in SCUBA diving?
The same island geography that makes the BVI a perfect sailing destination, also creates excellent SCUBA diving. The British Virgin Islands are full of quiet harbors protected by wind swept points. These points often extend below the water’s surface in the form of fantastic coral reefs teeming with wildlife.
Want to take a break from the boat? The islands offer a number of great hikes. Take the morning to walk up Norman Island, and discover an old pirates’ lookout. Or find the abandoned house on Peter Island complete with artistic tile mosaics, most of which are still intact.
The Gorda Peak National Park boasts the highest point on Virgin Gorda. Once you reach 1359 feet, climb the wooden observation tower and take in the stunnig view the British Virgin Islands.
Finally stroll along Anegada’s endless of beach. Afterward, reward yourself with a cocktail at Cow Wreck Beach Bar, and when you’re ready to return to the boat, simply call for a taxi.
If your idea of relaxing includes a hot-stone massage or a pedicure, indulge in treatment. Peter Island Resort boasts a world-class spa. The islands of Tortola and Virgin Gorda offer spa options as well. Let us know, and we’ll help you book your treatment of choice.
While evenings on the water tend to be quiet and relaxing, the islands offer nightlife ranging from tranquil to absolutely crazy.
Looking for a place to shake your booty? The Willy T at Norman Island or Foxy’s on Jost van Dyke can offer you the music and ambiance to do just that.
Here during the full moon? Trellis Bay and Bomba Shack in Apple Bay offer Full Moon parties complete with food, drinks and live entertainment. The former offers a family-friendly atmosphere, while the latter, (the original) is a party where anything can happen.
There are a number of options throughout the islands to take in some live music. Quito's, Myett's and the Rock on Virgin Gorda to name a few.
While you won’t find a shopping mall Mecca in the islands, you will find little gems along the way to satisfy your inner shopaholic. Most islands have at least one to two shops where you can find souvenir t-shirts, local art and handicrafts.
Of course, when you’re ready to relax, you can lounge with a book on the bow trampolines, float on a noodle with a tropical drink, or doze in a hammock on one of the many white sand beaches. Since our yacht is your own personal floating resort, you choose what makes your ideal BVI yacht charter.
