Our fully equipped private sunny apartment has a living and dining area, kitchenette, bathroom and double bedroom with a king size bed which makes this an ideal getaway for couples or short term business renters. There is a double sofa bed in the Living Area which means we can accommodate four Adults.
Our apartment is located on the quiet Balcarres Street opposite Morningside Park, and popular and upmarket Morningside Road is minutes away with its array of traditional cosy bars and gastro pubs, restaurants which include Scottish, French and Italian, cafes, delicatessens, grocers, bohemian outlets and antique shops. The art deco Dominion Cinema and Church Hill Theatre are close by as are the Waitrose, Marks and Spencers, and Sainsburys Supermarkets, Boots and Superdrug Pharmacists, Health Shops, Banks and a Post Office.
The City Centre, Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town are a 30 minute walk away, and there is a regular door to door bus link to the centre including Waverley Railway Station for onward travel to Edinburgh International Airport and beyond. The apartment has unrestricted on street free parking.
Milda and I are friendly warm people who maintain our apartment ourselves to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. We stock fresh coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and condiments, and fresh linen, towels and toiletries.
We live and work close-by and are flexible with check-in and check-out, and keys can also be collected at the Waiting Room Bar & Restaurant which is minutes from the apartment. We will do all we can to welcome and help you in any way to ensure that you have a very pleasant stay in our lovely apartment and enjoy the beautiful history of Edinburgh.
Back to apartment and there is fully equipped kitchen with a Washing Machine, and we provide fresh coffee, tea, milk and condoments. Fresh linen, towels, and toiletries are also provided.
The facilities also include Wi-Fi, HD Freeview TV, king size bed, double sofa bed, large single sofa which can also be used as a bed, electric heating, quality power shower, dining table with four chairs, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, fully equipped kitchen including washing machine, and hard wired smoke and heat detectors, a carbon monoxide monitor, and fire safety equipment.
The apartment is a 5 minute walk to Craiglockhart Nature Reserve which has a leisure centre and national tennis centre, golf course, and a 10 minute walk to the Hermitage of Braid Nature Reserve. The Pentland Hills are close-by for walking and boasts the largest dry ski slope in Europe. Edinburgh is a cycle friendly environment with numerous designated cycle paths throughout the city.
Occasionally we accommodate pets on prior request for an additional fee of twenty pounds for each pet payable on arrival in respect of additional cleaning which this incurs.
