Beautiful property. My husband and I didn’t want to leave. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience.
Beautiful Cottage on the Bay
My family and I had a wonderful adventure staying in this cottage. The purpose of our trip was to do some SCUBA diving in the St Lawrence River, this cottage was a perfect place to relax after our dives. Before and during our stay I talked to Sharon, the owner, about our comfort, she was very nice and concerned about us. It was good to know that she was reachable and really wanted us to have a good time. The cottage totally lived up to the posting on vbro, we were not disappointed. In addition to our diving we went kayaking, using the two kayaks provided by Sharon, built and enjoyed fires in the fire ring on the property, had a cookout and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the deck. The inside of the cottage was clean and well cared for, the kitchen area was very well stocked with everything needed to make and enjoy home cooked meals, the beds were very comfortable with nice clean linens, the newly remodeled bathroom was wonderful, we really enjoyed using the nice plush towels after our showers. I can't say enough about how nice the cottage was, we will definitely look into renting here again when we return to the Thousand Islands area
Nice, quiet, peaceful, awesome views, entertaining assorted wildlife
The perfect place at the perfect location, a touch of luxury and a ton of charm... the house, the yard, the dock, the water, the fishing, the amenities, it's all just perfect. For fun in the sun or relaxing in the shade - this is the spot. Sharon is available and accommodating should you have any questions or need anything!
Beautiful cottage with awesome sunsets and directly on the water. What helps make this place great are all the little extras the owner throws in. Beach towels, citronella candles, K-cups for the coffee maker etc... It's also in a nice quiet area of the region, well away from the bustle of Alex Bay and the up river crowd. Just a great place to relax.
1st Thousand Islands Visit
Very pleased with our stay. Nice location with nice accommodations. Sharon was attentive to our needs and great to deal with. Some of the best sunsets I have ever experienced. Already thinking about our next trip.
Whether it’s paddling a canoe or kayak in the St. Lawrence River or rafting Class III to Class IV rapids on the nearby Black River, visitors to the 1000 Islands area have plenty of adventurous on-the-water options. Power boats, jet skis, and sailboats, fly boarding, tubing and swimming guarantee that there is no end to the fun!
If you like to be on the water, but prefer to stay dry, try Uncle Sam's Boat Tours in Alexandria Bay for the opportunity to visit Millionaire's Row, view historic homes, explore romantic castles and hear tales of days gone by. Other on-the-land options include a visit to one or more of the many family-owned wineries and distilleries along the shore. Take a tour and do some tasting. Or visit local museums and learn how artists and craftsmen have lived and worked in the 1000 Islands region for generations. The Frederic Remington Museum in Ogdensberg, The Antiques Boat Museum in Clayton, and the galleries and artist studios across the region feature artists who work with paint, clay, glass, metal, wood and fiber to capture the spirit of the river and its people. Immerse yourself in their love of the North Country.
Fishing and hunting are legendary throughout the region with many fishing charters and guided hunting services available. Local farmers make the fruit of their labor available at Farmer's Markets in Alexandria Bay, Clayton and at roadside stands throughout the summer. And Cross Over Farm, an organic farm on Wellesley Island, Is available for tours.
With car shows and boat shows, music festivals and wine festivals, drive-ins, mini golf, and go karts, the activities described above and the scenic beauty that surrounds it all, there will certainly be something for everyone on a 1000 Island vacation.
