The sweetest suites in Hershey, Pennsylvania
Hershey is the capital of HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD®. This is the ultimate destination for chocolate lovers, history buffs and anyone else looking for a tasty vacation filled with sweet adventure. The state capital isn’t far, and the Gettysburg Civil War battlefield and Amish Country are within reach as well. With a name like The Suites at Hershey, this resort obviously takes the cake as the most convenient, ideal escape in a town made of chocolate. Comfortable villas provide all the room you’ll need for the whole family, and even enough space to burn some energy after all that chocolate. The area’s popular, chocolaty attractions are so close that you can actually smell chocolate from inside your villa.
Since the town’s main attraction is chocolate, you might not spend much time at the resort. But if you do, don’t worry, there’s enough family fun to keep you from thinking about the sweets down the street. Jump in the indoor pool or the seasonal outdoor heated pool or hot tub. Enjoy the peace and quiet provided by our screened-in gazebo while you relax in the delightful aroma of Hershey. Fire up the BBQ grill and prepare a meal for the family. Kids can enjoy the playground and game room, while the adults will look forward to burning off a few chocolate calories in the fitness center or on the basketball court. Then there’s the Cocoa Train observation tower, where you can watch trains chug by as they carry cocoa beans and sugar to the factories where tasty chocolate is made.
My family and myself stayed at The Suites at Hershey for 3 nights from 8/2/- 8/5. We were a family of six and we had more than enough room. The apartment is beautiful. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are very large and clean. The kitchen is very nice and fully stocked with everything you will need. The living room area has a tv, pull out sofa and 2 chairs. The dining area is a large table with chairs around, enough room to fit a large group and everyone can be together. The washer and dryer was a very nice feature to have especially after a day in Hershey Park. The location is also perfect; only a few minutes down the road from Hershey Park. The outdoor pool was nice and the management lets you stay there and use it while you are waiting for your room to be ready to check in. Air conditioning in the room was great. The game room was fun and had plenty of items to keep us busy and have a lot of fun. The indoor pool looked great but we did not have time to go in it. Amish Country was around a 40 minute ride and there is a Red Robin Restaurant right down the road from the Suites, a Dunkin Donuts, and a convenience store too. The owners were a pleasure to work with and accommodating in every aspect. I will definitely rent again. I wish my family and myself had more than the 3 nights, we hated to leave!!!!
We stayed at The Suites of Hershey for a full week and we couldn't have been more pleased. We had two adults plus three teenagers and we had plenty of room to eat, sleep, relax, play board games together or whatever we wanted. Both bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable, both bedrooms have new HD televisions in addition to the one in the living room so that was very nice. The air conditioning was easy to use and adjust as needed. Having two full bathrooms with showers was great with so many people needing to use the facilities and the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was an added bonus. The property was very nice, the "kids" loved the pools and the arcade. The water was warm and the hot tub was very nice. The location was great, with easy access to Hershey park and the town was very easy to get to as well. Gettysburg is a short drive as is Amish Country and we even went to Valley Forge and the historic Independence sites in Philadelphia, which was a very easy drive (slightly over an hour). The hotel staff was very friendly and provided ample towels, detergent, dishes, and linens. The VRBO owner, Janis, was super helpful in getting everything arranged and with the booking process. She answered all of my questions and worked with me throughout the process. One more thing, we were in building number 3 (Cocoa), which was the furthest from the train tracks and we never once heard a train go by, which was a huge complaint of guests on Trip Advisor. Bottom line is that we were so glad that we found this VRBO unit and would recommend it for anyone.

The chocolate-charmed town of Hershey is a flavorful family attraction, and The Suites at Hershey provide all the ingredients for wholesome family fun. Warm up in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub while the scent of chocolate lingers in the air, or enjoy the sweet aroma while relaxing in a screened gazebo. You can also gather ‘round the picnic area and grill up a good time.
The kids can entertain themselves at the playground and game room, while adults can burn off their chocolate indulgences at the fitness center and basketball court. You’ll also want to check out the Cocoa Train observation tower and watch the trains chug by carrying cocoa beans and sugar to the chocolate factories.
