This charming 100 year old building was fully renovated in early 2016.
We made the most of every inch of this 1500 square foot space by putting in 4 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 have showers with spa jets), a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room. There is also a 200 sf outdoor terrace for your enjoyment of the sunny days.
Each bedroom is equipped with a working desk and chair, a closet, a luggage support rack and extra blankets and pillows. In total, there are 3 queen size beds, 2 twin beds, 1 double over double bunk bed and 1 sofa-bed in this apartment.
Bedding and towels are also provided.
With parking less than 1 min away starting at only $12 per night, and the metro at less than 5 min walk, this is the best location for a family vacation or a business trip.
Once you book this space, you will have access to the whole apartment which is located on the 2nd floor. There are 12 steps to climb in total.
Le Plateau Mont-Royal is the most popular place to stay in Montreal (as well as the downtonw and Old Town burrows which are adjacent). This is the place where you will find the most shops and cafés. There are tons of interesting "mom and pop" stores as well as your classics like Subway and Starbucks. Liquor stores and grocery stores are also right around the corner.
From the apartment, you will be able to reach Le Metro Mont-Royal within less than 5 min walk. This is one of the major subway hub in the city. Taking the subway (or as the locals call it "metro") is the easiest and cheapest way to get around Montreal to avoid traffic and parking tickets! Right in front of it is a small market, always a nice thing to check out.
Taxis or Uber are easily found in Montreal. In the apartment, you will find all the info you need to order a taxi. There is a phone you can use to do so.
Parking is tricky everywhere in the city. The signs are very confusing, even for the locals and people who have lived here for years. These signs are also in French so the best thing to do is to park in one of the long term areas ($12 to $15 per day) located 1 min walk away from our building and to leave the car there for your entire stay. We will provide this info for you. Since you can take the subway, taxi or walk everywhere, there is no need for your car unless it is really cold outside...
- Early check-in and late check-out are available upon request and based on availability only. A an extra fee of $50 + taxes each will be added to your rental agreement.
- We can not always meet all of our guests, but we are always only just a text, phone call or email away.
1-night minimum stay ONLY applies to the months of November, December, January and Febuary (minus any special event or holiday).
Minimum stay is 2 nights at all other times.
Minimum stay for special events is 3 nights
(Christmas, New-Years, Family Day, Easter, Victoria Day, Memorial Day, Formula 1, Quebec National Holiday, Canada Day / 4th of July, Formula 1, Jazz Fest, Osheaga, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc)
It is important to note that travel insurance should be purchased by all travelers. Our building and home insurance does NOT cover the guest's personal belongnings and we can not be held responsible for them. Please look into it before you book any trip around the world.
NOTE: a fully refundable $1000 damage deposit is requested 30 days before check-in via Paypal AND a rental agreement must be signed by the guests and owners.
We have all the permits necessary to rent short term in our city. We are certified by the Quebec Tourism Board and are a registered business in the province of Quebec.
All applicables taxes will be charged (Quebec Provincial Tax, the Montreal Lodging Tax and the Canada Federal Tax).

About Frederique Chalifoux
I, Bernhard, was born in Salzburg , Austria. I have spent almost 20 years travelling the world on cruise ships working in the Food and Beverage and Hotel Management departments. This is where I met my wife, Frederique, originally from Montreal, Canada. Frederique was an entertainer at first and then moved on to sales and marketing. After a true Love Boat story (we literally met on the Love Boat!), we decided to elect permanent residence in Montreal. Since we have always worked with the public, it only made sense that we would continue in this path. We therefore have spent the last few years working in the property management field in Montreal and really enjoy it. Because it keeps us close to our roots, we decided to buy of our 1st rental building located in the best part of town, Le Plateau Mont-Royal and to start welcoming people from around the world. We hope you enjoy the location and the amenities we have prepared for you. Between the two of us, we speak English, German, French and enough Spanish to get by. The apartment was great! We stayed with 3 kids and 2 adults for 5 days over Thanksgiving weekend. Had some friends over with their 3 kids for dinner a couple of nights with lots of space. Lots of room with a nice wide open kitchen and living room. Also a great plus was that it was on a single level off the street into the apartment. Many of the other places we looked at were on the second and third floors. Great hosts in a great neighborhood! I would highly recommend!
An absolutely wonderful condo in a convenient, lively, and exciting area of Montreal
We recently (six adults) spent five days at Bernhard and Frederique’s condo in the Plateau Mont region. It was an excellent experience in every way. We had never been to Montreal before, so we had a lot of correspondence back and forth with Frederique in the weeks leading up to our stay. It was very helpful. She provided us with an exhaustive list of recommendations as well as a list of basic and very reasonable rules. The check in is easy—the door is coded so keys are not necessary. We parked our car around the corner for $12/day and never moved it until we left. Montreal’s metro is much better than driving. The actual condo was excellent. Everything worked well; all you need is provided; and the location is about as good as you could possibly fine. The entire place is clean and convenient. There is a separate bath for each of the three bedrooms. There are also the most spectacular showers as well. The Metro was four minutes away and provided our main form of transport. There are very good restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. We have used Home Away for many trips and usually found very good accommodations. This one was one of the very very best. We would use it again without hesitation.
This apartment was in a great location- convenient to metro and varied restaurants. It was clean and neat and everything was in working order. Our group appreciated the three bathrooms, four bedrooms with six beds, and the well equipped kitchen.
In addition, Frederique and Bernhardt provided thorough and useful information about restaurants, interesting sites, etc. They were easy to contact and graciously addressed any questions we had. Frederique was a delight to work with. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Montreal.

Our building is a NON-SMOKING building. No cigarettes, cigars or others are permitted. NO PETS are allowed on the premises. Neighboring pets also are not allowed in the apartment. Thank you. NO PARTIES are allowed on the premises. Music will be tolerated from 9 am until 10 pm or as long as the neighbors do not complain. This is part of the city of Montreal by-laws. No additional guests are allowed to visit the apartment. Only the amount of people listed in the original reservation can access the premises. Thank you. We hope to get the apartment back in the state we gave it to you in. We ask that you FILL the dishwasher before leaving, that you TAKE your garbage out and place it into the bid provided at the back of the building and that you put the WHITE towels in the laundry machine and start it (the detergent is provided).
