I enjoyed my stay at the Native Cabin. It looks just like the pictures.Great cabin for 2 couples It was very nice and very clean with a kitchen set up with everything to cook with. Bring your food and you are set. Even has a bar b q grill on deck if you want to grill. We did not cook while there but the Lodge had some awesome food. We enjoyed the swing on the patio relaxing and enjoying the view.

Our week at Native Cabin

  • 4 of 5

We spent the week of July 17-24 at the Native Cabin. We were 4 adults and a 5 yr. old child. The cabin was very clean and it is convenient to all the activities you can do at Petit Jean State Park. The view of the valley and mountains from the deck is beautiful. There is not a bed for a 5th person, unless the person doesn't mind sleeping on the couch. Also there is not a table for 4 or more people to comfortably sit to have a meal together. Thank goodness the air conditioner worked great! It was a HOT week.

Nice Place, and Privet, and Great View.

  • 3 of 5

When we arrived the air conditioning was set on 80, lamps missing light bulbs, when I booked the house it said it would sleep 5, and it only sleeps 4. I had to sleep on the living room couch, very disappointing. The coffee maker was broke, and tics are very bard around the house. We had no problem with tics on hicks. The grill on the back porch needs to be replaced, and I would move it, the smoke from cooking on it was sucked into the house through the air condition, and made the smoke alarm go off. Other than that we liked the location, very privet, and great view. I would stay again butt would rent larger house next door, it would had accommodated the group of 5 better. Thanks, John Tomanio

Owner's Response: I am so sorry John, I had a talk with my helpers about your experience , at the end of the day it is still my responsibility to make sure things are in place. the air is supposed to be set on 74 and the ticks we have sprayed for they just keep coming back, I think they like the ceader trees here, what can I say it's the woods. it does say on my site 2 queen beds and 1 couch, which it would mean to me it sleeps 5, I know some people do not like sleeping on a couch and I apologies for that. I hope you can come back and check out the light house it is 4 bedrooms 3 couches 2 1/2 baths about 3,000 square feet the Native Cabin is around 1200 square feet. Thank you and have a great summer.

We the Ireland's enjoyed our Spring Break at the most beautiful, peaceful, cozy place on earth. The Hostess was the Mostess she provided us with directions to the cabins as well as for the activities for the children .Man the fish was biting as fast as you could bait your hook. The cabins had everything you could think of. A Home away from Home was the feeling we felt when we walked across the threshold. The only problem we had was the week went back to fast..... WILL BE RETURNING SOON! I will recommend anyone whom want to get away for a quite getaway contact Robin and asked about the Native Cabin It is well kept.
