WOW!

  • 5 of 5

Brad and Erin are wonderful hosts. My wife and I rented a cabin for 6 days. We found the cabin clean, cozy and comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked great. It was a little log cabin furnished in a rustic western natural wood style. It had a covered porch with an amazing view. Watching the sun come up over the valley is amazing. We loved sitting on the porch taking in the view and hearing the north fork of the Shoshone River rush by. As for location there are really not many places to stay closer to Yellowstone. The ride to the east gate is an attraction in itself. The scenery is stunning. These are really nice people and you can't go wrong being their guests.

HIGHLIGHT OF MY ROAD TRIP

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely fell in love with Cody and staying at the Mountain Resort only enhanced my visit. Loved my small cozy cabin with the amazing views wherever you looked. Was so overwhelmed one morning while walking my dog along the road in front of the cabin: a team of horses came racing down the street in front of me, turning off to go to pasture near the cabin. Thrilling. Easy access to Yellowstone and the Shoshone National Forest is amazing. Saw so many bison, pretty close up.

Just right

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy with the cabins (we took 2 units for 6 people). Clean and comfortable and a good deal. Spectacular scenery. The owners were super-nice. Though close to the main road, the sound of traffic never bothered us, and there is almost no traffic at night. It is the closest possible place you could stay near the east entrance to Yellowstone, coming from Cody, though the gate is still over 20 miles away, then you must drive into the park at least that far to start visiting the sites. Be prepared to do a lot of driving, and bring food/supplies, because you don't want to have to take trips to stores due to the great distances. We went at peak season, so there was a lot of traffic in Yellowstone itself that slowed us down (especially when animals come into view. We understand it is less crowded in September or so. Would highly recommend the place to anyone.

Cozy Comfy and easy access

  • 4 of 5

What can I say about this cute wonderful cabin besides it being cozy, well equipped and great for a few nights stay. Only one draw back was the WIFI was very hard to sign-in and kick us out a lot. Yes the cabin is close to the highway but in the most beautiful Shoshone National Forest and its an easy access to anywhere you want to go. No long gravel roads. Traffic can be a little much but with the AC on you never even heard it. The drive to Yellowstone is beautiful but a little long when you have to drive another 30 miles from the border into the heart of the park. There's a place between the park and cabin for gas. The owners were very accommodating when we needed extra towels, and such. I have a bad back and the bed was very comfy. This is a duplex cabin and we were in the Bear and keep in mind that its not huge and there is no closet for hanging jackets or dress cloths. But oh my who cares when you are on vacation.
