We had a wonderful time! This was our first trip of a family of four with a 2 month old and an almost 2 year old. The grandparents stayed in the cottage next door and had a screened in porch which was perfect for our 2 year old. A little containment goes a long way with a busy little boy. The area was quiet but also very close to the downtown area and the ferry. We road our bikes down to the public access at the end of the street where we went swimming and played in the water (we could have walked to this location). The public access had a great veiw of the bridge, it was pretty rocky but did have some sand. Thanks for a wonderful stay!! Very clean!
We stayed at the cottage and loved everything about it! We have 2 boys and after our adventurous days in the sun coming back to a restful place was perfect! Having a charcoal grill helped tons. The cottage was centrally located to everything. Bob was beyond helpful with anything we needed towels, knowledge of the town etc... Diane is extremely organized when booking your trip and her communication is excellent! We would highly recommend your cozy place to our family, friends and others. Thank you for making such amazing memories for our family!
The cottage had a dirty microwave and the coffeemaker was a science experiment. The shower curtain wasn't cutting it either, you couldn't help not soaking the floor. I have contacted the owner twice, about the return of are deposit of $200. And still have not received it or a reason why we shouldn't have.
The cottage was perfect. It was very clean and the layout was well thought out to optimize the size. The neighborhood was very quiet, but only a short walk to downtown Mackinaw. We loved the fire pit and roasting marshmallows. This will be be our new favorite spot when we are in Mackinaw.
The Cedar is a newly renovated cottage located in a quiet suburb within walking distance to the attractions and stores in Mackinaw City. We enjoyed staying at the cottage and relaxing in the late afternoon on the the flag stone patio. There is a small charcoal grill that we used to bbq our dinners. Also, we enjoyed the bonfires we made in the fire pit. Todd and Jacki are very good owners/hosts...we met them by chance as they were also staying in the larger of the three cabins on their property. Todd and Jacki made the old-time cottages into newer, updated cozy places to stay. We would definitely stay here again!
The cottage was just as described. It was very clean and set-up perfect for a couple. The neighborhood was very quiet and yet a reasonable walk to restaurants, shopping and even the ferry to the island. We especially enjoyed the fire pit for the chilly Spring evenings. We would definitely recommend this cottage!
