Traverse City Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)

Absolutely the best location on Lake Leelanau. Our cabin is located directly on Lake Leelanau with 150 ft feet of sandy beach frontage. Do not accept the imitations our cabin is only a stones throw from the lake. A great advantage of the location are the sunset views that can be seen from the porch and the sounds of the lake lapping you to sleep.

Not only do you have the amazing lake frontage but our cabin also offers a play area, campfire pit, and picnic area for family fun.

The location and amenities offer a unique experience that brings people back each and every year.

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only

About Scott Kwiatkowski

My wife and I purchased Bass Cabin from her family because it is our favorite place to vacation. Anytime we travel we realized that it did not stack up to the experience at Bass Cabin.

Scott Kwiatkowski purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Scott Kwiatkowski chose Northern Michigan

Our cabin has been in my wife's family for decades and during my childhood my family traveled to Lake Leelanau each year for a family vacation. When the opportunity arose to have our own place on Lake Leelanau the decision was an easy one. We enjoy the ability to enjoy the lake life, but also the convenience of having a large city nearby.

What makes this cabin unique

Once you sit in the cabin and see the amazing views you will be hooked for life!!

Already miss it!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I begin?! My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to relax after our wedding and happened to come across this gem. It far exceeded our expectations. I already miss falling asleep to the sound of the lake. If you're looking for a one of a kind place to enjoy pure Michigan, shop no further. I'm already looking for dates to come up next year. Thanks again for a wonderful honeymoon

Cherry Capital HQ

  • 5 of 5

Perfect spot away from the main crowds and near everything. We managed all of the following in one week; Blue Angel's air show, Cherry Festival, Old Mission wine tour, Moomer's Ice Cream shop, afternoon cruise on the Manitou schooner, night at the Cherry Bowl drive-in, dune climb at Sleeping Bear, visists to nearby wineries, fresh fish from Calson's and lunch at the Bluebird in Leland. In between all of these, the cabin was the perfect down time for a family of 4 next to the lake. Slept like a baby listening to the waves at night. Thanks, Scott.

BASS CABIN IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented Bass Cabin with the hopes of relaxing by the lake. We definitely got what we bargained for and more. The cottage was perfectly positioned on Lake Leelanau with excellent views of the lake and the sunsets. The water was perfect with excellent "sugar" sand and great swimming. The cabin owners were always available via cell or email and did their best to answer all questions. The owners even prepared a list of local attractions for us. The cabin was perfect for all small family and we cannot wait to come back again next year.

AMAZING

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I went to this beautiful cabin to spend a long weekend and we fell in love with this cabin. The cabin was a timeless classic with all of the comforts we were looking for. The views from the cabin were awe inspiring. No matter what were were doing we made it a point to return each night so that we could relax and watch the sunsets.

The cabin is located in close proximity to many of Northern Michigan's best landmarks...Fishtown, Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes the list goes on and on.

The owners did there best to make our stay as pleasant as possible including sending a list of lesser known dining establishments and sights to see.

My experience at Bass Cabin will keep me coming back year after year. If you are looking for a relaxing place to spend a vacation look no further.

Great views!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this little cottage and it worked well as a base camp for our day trips. It worked well for us-we are a young couple and don't need anything fancy. This is a basic cabin, but absolutely well priced in the area and you are right on the water. It is in a shared group of cabins so it isn't spur private. It would be nice to have a little but more information from the owner- when we arrived, we had no idea how to turn the heat on, how to turn some of the lights on, and if we should run the water before using it. I'd recommend bottled water if you can't handle the intense mineral taste. The neighbors were kind enough to let us know about a shared paddleboat. Once we figured out the heat and such it was a relaxing place to crash each night and we loved sitting on the dock just taking in the sights. It is also conveniently located for various day trips-Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay, etc.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your excellent review and feedback it is appreciated. This season was my first year renting the cabin. In order to make the experience easier for future renters I have prepared a checklist for check in and check out that makes it easier for renters. I always provide renters with my personal cell phone and email in case questions or difficulties arise and I encourage renters to call or email me with any questions. I hope with the new changes that we will have you back in the future. The location is one of kind and perfect for getaway.

Beautiful Grounds and Great Location

  • 4 of 5

My boyfriend and I recently rented the Bass Cabin for a romantic getaway and fishing vacation. The property grounds and location were perfect. Peaceful and picturesque at all times of the day. There are other properties very close but due to the time of year we went only a few people were around. Fishing was fun and the water is beautiful. No monsters caught but an abundance of perch with an occasional small bass caught. The cabin is perfect for couples - rustic but charming. My only complaint is that we could not lock our cabin and it needed a few things fixed inside. Definately livable and enjoyable anyhow, but slightly annoying. I am accepting of a rustic retreat but the toilet seat was not attached and for a girl it's quite disturbing to have an indoor private bathroom you have to squat at. Minor tweaks and we would definitely return to this location again and again. All in all the cabin is conveniently located for all Traverse City attractions and the lakefront property grounds cannot be duplicated. Thank you for the much needed getaway.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your excellent review. This is my first year renting the cabin and I appreciate your feedback. I have made the repairs that were mentioned in the review. The toilet seat has been replaced and the lock on the door has been repaired and works perfectly. I have also hired a handyman to make a few other minor repairs during the fall/winter so that the cabin will be ready for renters in the spring. I hope that we will see you again.
