4 bedroom house, sleeps 8 people, in Calella de Palafrugell

Mid terraced house on a small community of 8 houses with large swimming pool and 500m from EL Golfet beach. None of the other houses are holiday lets and unlikely to be occupied during the week, except in August.

Ground floor has a hallway with cloaks cupboard, fully fitted kitchen, separate laundry room and a shower room. There is a large lounge/dining room giving access to a terrace overlooking the sea, with BBQ and furniture for outside dining. On the first floor the main bedroom has a small private balcony with fantastic views of the coast to the lighthouse at Llafranc. There are an additional double bedded room and two twin bedded rooms on this floor plus 2 bathrooms. One with a bath/shower and the other with a shower.

There is underground garage parking for 1 car and an additional car can be parked behind the house.

The centre of Calella is 1km away providing all daily shopping needs as well as offering many bars and quality restaurants to suite all tastes.

Casa El Golfet is a development of 8 houses arranged in two blocks of 3 houses and one block of two houses. Casa No. 2 is the middle property of one of the blocks of three. which has its own private terrace of 30 sq. mts overlooking the large communal gardens and the coast. There is a communal swimming pool measuring 15mts x 10mts with a large terraced area at one end and a large grassed area at the other. Both ideal for sun worshippers or playing games. The owners of the other houses all live in Barcelona and only tend to visit at weekends, apart from in August, so the pool and gardens will normally be for the sole use of our guests.

Note that Ryanair flies into Gerona (Barcelona - Gerona according to their schedules) about 40kms distance from Calella and Easyjet into Barcelona which is about 100 kms distance.

This area is one of the most beautiful in the whole of the Costa Brava and offers possibilities to enjoy many different types of leisure activities from a traditional relaxing beach holiday to cycling or walking in the hills and woods behind Calella to snorkling, diving or boating or enjoying a round of golf on one of several courses in the area. Bicycle, boat and sailboard hire are all available in Calella or nearby LLafranc with boat excursions possible from Palamos 10kms away.

Townhouse Calella

We have just spent a week in this house and had a lovely holiday. The owner was most helpful and was there to check us in. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party but it does easily accommodate 8.

We walked into town on a regular basis and found we were only a short walk from the Botanical gardens where there are open air concerts in July and August. Booking for those in advance would be essential.

If you think you will need the local bank for cash or an internet cafe, ask someone to mark them on a map for you. We just wasted a bit of time finding them.

Would love to return sometime.

Pleasant holiday

The house was very well equipped, the owner very helpful with accurate information in advance. Some nice villages for sightseeing within easy reach, We enjoyed romantic walks along the cliffs to nearby villages.. Though it was already October we could still use the pool and swim in the sea thanks to very good weather. The market and the supermarkets in Palafrugell provided us with good food.

The most beautiful feature was the wonderful view of the sea from windows and the terrace.

We had a very enjoyable stay .

séjour formidable

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable dans la maison de M et Mme MORSE.

Lors de notre arrivée nous avons été accueilli par M et Mme MORSE qui sont très sympathiques

La maison est très confortable pour 8 personnes 4 chambres 3 sdb avec tout le confort lave vaisselles, lave linge, barbecue à gaz, ...

La terrasse est très agréable et la vue inoubliable.

La piscine est super (toujours propre) : bien que partagée avec 5 autres maisons nous étions pratiquement toujours tout seul

Le coin est super a deux pas d'un site protégé qui permet de faire de belles randos.

En plus un garage pour éviter l'embarras de chercher où garer la voiture.

Bref que de beaux souvenirs

EL Golfet

There are many fine beaches in Calella from Port Pelegri, the base for the local scuba divers to Canadells towards Llafranc. Going further afield towards Palamos is the more secluded large sandy bay of Playa de Castell, close to La Fosca. A cycling/walking path now runs through the fields and woods behind Calella from Palafrugell to Castell Playa. Close to the house are some beautiful botanical gardens owned by the Caixa de Girona and the grounds of the associated Castell often feature musical concerts on summer evenings. There are several interesting medieval villages inland, such as Pals, Peratellada and Ullastret which are worth a visit as are the Greco-Roman ruins at Empurias some 30 kms away.La Bisbal, 10kms away is an important ceramics centre and Figueras hosts the world famous Dali museum. At Pujol on the road to Gerona is the house Dali built for his wife which also features some of his works.A day trip to Barcelona is possible either by car, bus or train from nearby Flaca

Refundable damage deposit $369.19
Stay tax $0.49 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 16 years.

The above rental rates are for a maximum of 8 people including children and are inclusive of bed linen, bathroom and kitchen towels. A weekly linen change is also included for bookings of more than 1 week.
A 25% non refundable deposit is payable at time of reservation with the balance payable 4 weeks before arrival together with a refundable
security deposit of 300 Euros.
In high season we only rent from Friday to Friday and for weekly periods
