Mid-century apartment well preserved with recent renovation. Interior designer and stone mason owners display their talent to include spa inspired bathroom with turkish travertine shower, vanity, and mosaic heated floor. Designer colors and furnishings create a comfortable environment throughout the lovely unit. The bedroom's queen size bed is well appointed with a Sealy Posturepedic Euro Pillow Top mattress, custom upholstered headboard, down comforter, down pillows, high thread count sheets. The living room chaise lounge sofa is perfect for reading or viewing 42'' plasma TV. Small dining room table will also serve nicely as a desk. Kitchen has original red tile with newer appliances and the simple basics for cooking at home. The apartment unit is situated on the back side of a 4 unit apartment building with tall fence to create a courtyard setting and private entrance. Large windows bring in an abundance of light and great view of courtyard garden.
One of the charms of this property is that it is in a quiet neighborhood for a city location. As much as we want our guests to have a good time, please be aware this is not a party pad. The sofa is not intended for additional sleeping guests and additional bedding is not provided.
Central Wallingford location. Close to Stone Way for bus lines to downtown, etc. Stone Way starts at Lake Union and goes north to Greenlake and is quickly becoming a hot new street with new restaurants and shopping. Near Gasworks Park, Burke Gilman Trail, Fremont, The Troll, Woodland Park Zoo, 2 miles to Husky stadium and University of Washington. Business travelers will find this a convenient location to software, internet, and biotech companies located in Fremont and South Lake Union. Also convenient for visitors of the University House retirement community.
My husband grew up visiting his grandmother in this small apartment building. We moved in as newlyweds in 1996 in this one bedroom unit. We called it the ''honeymoon suite''. Over a decade of managing the units as long term rentals, we decided to furnish units and offer as furnished short term rentals.
Randy & Teri Erickson purchased this apartment in 2000
Close to busy Wallingford, Fremont, Lake Union, Greenlake & the University of Washington. Quick and easy access to downtown. Tucked away in the Wallingford neighborhood. It is a short street with low traffic volume, therefore is a nice quiet location.
Since my husband's grandmother was the original owner; we have lovingly cared for this mid-century structure. We are both in the design & construction industry and have applied personal touches.
We really enjoyed the apartment and the location! Just across Union Lake from downtown Seattle in the Wallingford neighborhood, which is full of interesting cafes, restaurants, shops and parks. Great area to walk around and enjoy the character homes, the neighborhood and a great cup of coffee! The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with towels, kitchen items, vacuum, iron and hair dryer. The bathroom shower is wonderful and the floor is heated!! The bed was very comfortable as well. Randy met us and was very helpful about where to find things in the area (groceries, restaurants, parks). There is a little garden out back which was nice and it was very quiet at night. Street parking wasn't a problem. We could hear the people above us but only when they walked around early in the morning - and I only heard them as I was awake. It certainly didn't wake us up. We would definitely stay here again over a hotel any day! Thanks Randy!
My husband and I stayed at this apartment during a work trip to Seattle and loved the place! It is quiet, clean, and super convenient to Wallingford and Fremont attractions. An added bonus is the bed, which is so comfortable! We would stay here again in a heartbeat, no complaints.
We were quite pleased with this apartment on a private and quiet street. There is a lovely backyard patio and, we even had the magnolia tree in bloom. With a well equiped kitchen, consider this place if you need to stay in Seattle for a week or two.
This rental was quite comfortable and convenient. At first we were concerned about parking but we actually never had any problem with this. The apartment was very nice and has a homey feel to it. The area was very quiet. There are restaurants nearby within walking distance but they are all downhill from apartment. There is a bus stop a few blocks away to catch us to downtown Seattle. We opted to use Uber for our trip back to apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We've stayed at this apartment several times and plan to do so in the future. It is always immaculate when we arrive, the bed linens are so soft, the bathroom is wonderful (heated floors!!!). It's very convenient to restaurants and shops, it's located near the freeway so you can get where you want easily. The owners are super super nice, helpful and accommodating. The only reason it's not a five star is for two reasons:
1. This is a basement apartment - so if the upstairs is rented out you might hear those people walking/stomping around overhead.
2. Most days the parking is not an issue but we did have a couple nights during this visit that we had to park around the block and walk back.
Like I said, we love this little apartment and plan to stay there during future visits to Seattle.
As with previous visitors to this property, we were very pleased with everything this apartment and neighbourhood had to offer. The owner was right on time for our arrival and we had four days of comfort here. Some friends visiting from Tacoma were also very impressed with the place. We attended the 15th Geocaching Block Party and many caches were within walking distance. The bed was so-o-o comfortable and the cooking facilities with the shopping nearby made for a real homey experience. Thanks to Randi and Terri for their precise directions to get here and for maintaining such a welcoming property!
Walking distance to Greenlake and Lake Union where leisure and sport activities are accessible. Also walking distance to Fremont and Wallingford's 45th Street for shopping and restaurants. Quick and easy access to downtown by car, bus, or bike.
