We just left from a week at Seapines. We had 4 kiddos ages 3 - 11 and 2 small dogs. The house has everything you could possibly need with a well equipped kitchen (with extra things like foil to wrap food, ziploc bags and plenty of dishes to prep meals) and spacious house. I really liked that the master was set across the house from the other two bedrooms and offered a lot of privacy. We could hear the sea lions barking from the house throughout the day. The walk to see them was easy and we took it several times a day to see the ocean or watch the sunset. We were surprised by how cool it is in Mendocino but other than that, our trip was amazing. The walk to the lighthouse from the house was a beautiful one and something I would suggest. Take warm clothes and I highly recommend this house!
We just returned from our stay at SeaPines. The house is very well maintained and nicely stocked. The master bedroom is amazing. We could see the light from Point Cabrillo Lighthouse right from our window. Our kids really loved the bookshelf door. It was part of many imaginary games while we were there :-) My pup also had a good time. The house is very pet friendly.
We enjoyed walking along the state park trails and even found a geocache close by. It was nice to be near the beach. We spent a couple nights on Caspar Beach watching the sunset.
We hope to return to SeaPines the next time we get to Mendocino and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seapines and are already looking forward to returning. This is a very well-maintained home in an excellent location. The home is fully stocked with everything that you could possibly need and the property owner is very professional and responsive. I would highly recommend this property to travelers of all types. It is fully deserving of all of the positive reviews on this site.
Seven of us (including two young children) made SeaPines our base for a weekend wedding, and we all agreed (except the baby, but the baby's never been that forthcoming on anything) we'd return to this home if ever we were in the area again. It fit all of us with room to spare and was exactly as described with lots of charming local detail. The home is very well-maintained with clear guidelines and is close to a number of great views and points of interest. It's definitely perfect for groups of a certain size.
Thanks, Curt &co., for making your home available to us. We'll make it a point to return some day.
We stayed as a group of 6 adults and one toddler.
There was plenty of space for everyone. The décor was excellent. It was decorated very warmly. It was well furnished. There is even a game room.
The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dinnerware and utensils. We ate out for dinners but made our own lunches. We could have easily cooked a nice dinner if we needed to.
The neighborhood is quiet and quite nice to take a walk in. Deer came up to the porch.
There is a quick 5 minute walk within the neighborhood leading to a really nice seacoast view with seals and sea lions. We walked there several times and took some great photos.
Curt (the owner) was very easy to communicate with and work with. He responds quickly and he refunded the damage deposit very quickly as well.
If we were to visit Medocino again, we would not hesitate to stay here.
Just a short walk from SeaPines to California State Park lands, that provides spectacular vistas of the ocean and the rocks where sea lions bask in the sun. Walk along the trail back toward the cove for sweeping views of Caspar Beach. Enjoy Caspar Beach (a 5 minute walk from SeaPines) and the wet lands beyond, while Caspar Beach RV store provides convenient access for those last minute necessities.
The strategic location of SeaPines makes for short drives to all the attractions along the Mendocino coast, from playing golf at the Little River Inn to the South, Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, almost right next door, to taking a ride on the Skunk Train, which leaves from Ft. Bragg to the North. In between, enjoy cliff and beach access along Highway 1 which provide many short enjoyable hikes and spectacular views.
Both Mendocino and Ft. Bragg provide a wide range of dining experiences. From traditional fare to sea food in the restaurants on Noyo Harbor, you will find a wide range of options the will provide something for everyone’s taste.
