Thanksgiving dates are still open! Welcome- enjoy NOLA at its finest-Large private single home (no one above or below you)-elegant higher end furnishings and appliances, has a few MEMORY FOAM BEDS-(master has a king bed)beautiful hardwoods, clawfoot tubs, new everything, fully stocked for all you need for an excellent stay! Home was built in 1895, and has most of the original hardware. This Historical area has cute neighborhood cafes, yummy restaurants, grocery, yoga studio, & bars all within walking distance. About Carrie

I own/manage this home and several other properties, and have run this business for 11 years-- I love preserving older homes, and taking care of people as they do whats most important in life-- VACATION!!

Carrie purchased this house in 2012

Why Carrie chose Downtown

It has all the things I love- hardwood floors, tall ceilings, old fixtures, fireplaces, private fenced backyard--the neighborhood is a real treat-- this area has become so popular now.

What makes this house unique

RENT A BIKE to go see the sites, & the Frch Qtr...great way to get around. If this is booked, email me, I have 5 other homes in the area.

Great historic house.

  • 5 of 5

The house was great. Very spacious for a home over 100 yrs old.

Never had hot water issues and we had 4 couples. A couple of the mattressessence we hardER than some couples liked but they were fine. Loved the second floor. Huge areas to congregat and visit. Definitely a keeper for next yr.

great house

  • 5 of 5

A great place to stay. The pictures do not do it justice. The place is huge. 4 bedrooms and a loft style room all with queen size beds. The beds were also much more comfortable than any place I have stayed in awhile. The neighborhood is perfect to explore new orleans, while still being in a quieter neighborhood. We loved it and would like to return!

Great, spacious house in New Orleans!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this spacious house in March. This house is large and spacious. 6 adult males stayed here and there was plenty of room for everyone. Clean and well kept. Close enough to Burbon St, but just far enough to stay out of the fray. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Will definitely repeat in the future.

This was a fabulously eclectic home with more than enough space for the eight of us.

  • 4 of 5

The house was clean with plenty of linens and kitchen ware. If you want to get into downtown New Orleans, taxi's were readily available to and from and also a bus runs until six thirty at night a couple of blocks from the house. Walking to town takes about 20 minutes. There are plenty of small restaurants nearby including Elizabeth's and The Joint, all with wonderful home made Louisiana dishes.

We were there to enjoy the Jazz Fest but there was also plenty of music downtown and plenty of places to enjoy a variety. The beds were all comfortable with sparkling clean sheets. The courtyard in the back of the house was a great place to relax and enjoy the weather and have a few drinks after a long day at the festival. The only drawbacks were running out of hot water during a shower, some lights that were not functional and to get to the back yard we had to cut through someones bedroom. Other than that, it was a most enjoyable trip with plenty to see and do. We loved the place so much and are planning to return and get another dose of New Orleans food, music and hospitality. Definitely a place for relaxation and comfort!!!

Nice Place

  • 4 of 5

The description is accurate. The home is elegant and historical. Best way to get around is Uber or bike. One of the downsides, which is pointed out in the description, is it takes a while for warm/hot water to come out in the showers. As a result, we didn't want to take more than one shower at a time, and we tried to conserve hot water. The outdoor fenced in back area is very nice and peaceful. I would stay here again.

Good experience!

  • 4 of 5

This property was nice, roomy, and in a neighborhood with good access to the action, and some funky cool places to check out. Uber rides were only a few dollars to get where we needed to go. We also could walk. The neighbors around there were kind. The owner of the property is great and promptly refunded the deposit. The cleaning staff were also very friendly. Definitely recommend staying here.
