About Tracey Hutchinson

We have three children 15, 12, and 10 and live on the North Shore of Boston. Our eldest has Tuberous Sclerosis, Epilepsy and Autism and had a complicated brain surgery that, resulted in five brain surgeries, two brain hemorrhages and a brain infection , the cost of which necessitated our renting our beloved vacation home. We had such great response and others enjoyed being there so much we feel good about sharing our treasured spot and now renting helps off set our costs of ownership. We all love being up there so much that most of the time we're there we never leave the property:) There's so much for everyone to do, and nothing and all! SOOO relaxing!!

Tracey Hutchinson purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Tracey Hutchinson chose Lake Winnipesaukee Area

Our quintessential cabin has it all. Rustic with all the creature comforts and more! 10 minutes to town, You are less than two hours from Boston, (1.5 from the North Shore) and you feel like you are completely away. As I've said before there are tons of outside activities and plenty to do inside as well. Sometimes you want to hike, swim, boat, snow shoe, down hill ski, or play games, and sometimes all you want to do is sit in the hot tub, look out on the lake, read your book, drink your tea and listen to the loons.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is right on the water on spring fed, pristine Sunset lake with no public access, and 10 minutes to Alton Bay shopping, entertainment and Lake Winnapesauke. Less than a half hour to down hill skiing and just about anything else you may want or need to do all year through.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My friends and I had such a wonderful time last year at your lake house we were wondering if you are renting your house again? The problem is that we have two more friends that desperately want to come this time (they were blown away by how much we enjoyed your lake house). We would obviously pay more money for the extra 2 people. We still talk about that weekend every time we get together with our families. Again we are willing to pay more for the house plus adding 2 more people, at least $1500 for the weekend. Please let me know if you can accommodate us.

A nice place to reconnect with family

  • 5 of 5

The home was in a secluded part of the lake. There were neighbors around, but they were quiet and courteous. The home was totally set up for a family to come and just relax. We arrived and barely left the property except for a quick pizza and ice cream in town. The property comes with all the extras needed for fun: multiple kayaks, paddle boat, paddleboard, canoe, etc. My 4 year old loved just playing in the sand by the water. My 10 year old and 12 year old loved paddleboarding, kayaking, and using the swim docks slide and diving board. Each night we would have a campfire, make smore's and tell ghost stories. My wife and I enjoyed the local hiking as the views were out of this world. This really is a perfect and welcoming home to stay at. I highly recommend this home and it's rental. My family will return again. The only complaint is that the beds are so comfortable, you might find it hard to get up and start your day!

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This was our second vacation here and just as great as the first time! It has everything a family would want or need for vacation. We loved using the kayaks and canoe, sitting by a fire at night and playing board games on the enclosed porch. For a family of six it is the perfect size and you can't beat having your own private beach, two docks and a slide into the lake. The jacuzzi tub is great too. There's something for everyone at the lake house and having your own kitchen, grill, washer and dryer can't be beat. I love how it's close to Lake Winnipesaukee activities but on a quiet private lake.

Never have I been more relaxed in my life!!!

  • 5 of 5

I can't even begin to explain how perfect this property truly is. I have not been on a vacation for many years and I'll tell you, I made the right decision. For an outdoorsman such as myself you cannot beat this property! Kayaks, canoes, fishing rods and three docks!! Even if you're not an outdoors enthusiast, there is something to do for literally every age group. I don't remember the last time I was at such peace, just being there makes you feel relaxed!! Waking up to those views was nothing short of spectacular. Also, I have never gotten better sleep in my life than while I was there, holy mackerel those beds are comfy !! Tracey (the owner) is extremely nice and helpful. It was a pleasure working with her and I hope to return for years to come!! Don't think about it, book now!! It will be the best decision you and your family make!!

Thank you Tracey and family for the best vacation I've ever had!!

A Slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

just got back from a glorious week at the lake and can't wait to go back! This lake house has everything! Lots of room for sleeping and lots of "toys" for everyone, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, fire pit! It's one of the most peaceful places I have ever been. I especially loved going out on the kayaks in the early morning and being serenaded by the loons.....perfection!

All of the amenities and more!

  • 5 of 5

Great place that can accommodate a wide range of ages, literally something to do for everyone! Kayaks, canoes, paddle boat and rope swing for the little ones, fantastic patio for outdoor family games and meals, incredible views of the mountains and sandy beach to refresh yourself in spring fed Sunset Lake. Large dock to tan, dive, or enjoy the sweet smell of the mountains with a cocktail in hand. Hot tub is certainly a great bonus for the late nights/cooler mornings. House is meticulously kept with plenty of room and Tracey is AWESOME. Minutes from down town Alton shops and restaurants, but eat out when you can grill on the patio!

If you are looking for a great get away to connect with friends and family this is the place to visit! we drove up and the full moon was illuminating the dock, and in the morning the pink sunrise welcomed us. The hiking in the snow was lovely, ending in a spectacular view at the top of the lakes in the region. At the cabin, we made a roaring fire, and enjoyed ourselves playing games as a family. We punctuated the evening with lobsters and wine, and a long soak in the hot tub watching stars and breathing in the cold fresh air. Couldn't have ask for more. Loved it! Can't wait to return!
