Great spot, definitely recommend!

  • 4 of 5

We had a group of 14, with 7 adults and 7 kids aged almost 2 years to 10 years. This is a beautiful home, in a beautiful location. Only two things to consider before choosing this rental: First, it's a bit tight with this many people. Although it worked, it would much more comfortably sleep 10 people, possibly 12 on the higher end. Second, the incredible location comes at a bit of a cost. Essentially, be prepared for a drive that might may some people a bit queasy. Also, we had three truck/SUV type 4x4 vehicles in our group, which was ideal because there had been some rain and subsequently muddy roads that would've been difficult to navigate with a car, especially for drivers not familiar with this type of driving. Other than these two minor issues, this place was incredible and we had a great time there. We thankfully had read previous reviews indicating that we should make sure to have appropriate vehicles for the drive. If you're planning on doing day-trips into Yellowstone, be prepared that the drive down the mountain and into Gardiner will take you ~45 minutes each way. Not a big deal, but something to consider when planning our your days. My favorite part of the property is the hike. We stayed four days and some of us did the hike on each of the four days. Overall, would highly recommend, just be prepared re both the driving and the number of occupants.

Stunning view and spacious cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin exceeded our expectations! Plenty of room for 3 generations and 11 people. We cooked most nights and had all the cookware needed to do so. The beds were comfortable and towels soft. The view from the cabin is a pretty as seen anywhere else within the park. We saw elk, mule deer, coyotes and a grizzly while there. We saw moose tracks but didn't see the elusive creature. The hike to dogtooth rock was well worth and a great photo opportunity. The meadow had tons of wildflowers. Please adhere to the 4x4 recommendation as when it rains you will need it! We would have loved to have stayed another week. The only thing missing were some rocking chairs for the deck:)

Amazing vistas!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cabin. It was the perfect setting for my family of eleven. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We cooked, had wonderful discussions and laughter, saw moose, owls, bear, elk and deer, star gazed from the balcony, played pool, corn hole and cards, rafted the river, had sunshine, moonshine, rain and fog, celebrated new jobs, new homes, and a birthday, hiked to Dogtooth Rock, went to the rodeo in Livingston and made memories to last a lifetime. Everything in the home was clean and well maintained. The caretaker visited to make sure we were satisfied and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property. It exceeded our expectitions. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home.

Great Cabin But Bad Roads to Get There

  • 3 of 5

When vacationing it is important to not be wasting one's time just getting to your nightly accommodations. It is important for those considering this property to know that it is not easy to get to. It takes around 45 minutes one-way to reach Gardiner. Seventeen of the miles it takes to reach the cabin are on Highway 89 which take about 15 minutes to travel. The remaining 8 miles takes the other 30 minutes to traverse.

While the cabin is great overall, the only way this cabin should be considered is if you want to buy one or two weeks of groceries and not leave the cabin but once or twice at the most. It is too hard to get to this property. So, don't be deceived by the miles quoted to the cabin. The time and effort it takes to get there should be paramount in your decision to rent. The last bit of the drive to the cabin would be unpassable if rained upon, even with a knobby-tired SUV or Jeep.

Having said that, the view from the back deck of the cabin is breathtaking. The appliances, decor, entertainment system and cleanliness were top-notch. If your planning a trip to get away from it all this is your place. Just know that travelling to and fro from this property is hard. Had I known how tough the travel to the cabin was to be I would not have rented from this owner.

Top notch cabin with amazing views and very roomy

  • 5 of 5

We had 2 families with 12 people total and had plenty of room in this beautiful cabin. Top notch construction and nice details. Woke to beautiful sunrises and herds of Elk right off the porch. Professional grade kitchens made meal prep fun. I would not hesitate to rent again. Be sure to adhere to 4WD recommendation as the drive can be challenging especially if it rains.
