About Heather Monaco

Patrick and Heather have been married 32 years with 2 grown children and a 16 year old.! We live in the Southeast Wisconsin area where Patrick is the retired Director of the YMCA and Heather also helps people plan where they want to vacation and find an affordable resort. We began our journey into the world of Vacation Rentals when we purchased a timeshare back in 2000 when our surprise blessing was born. We sold our pop up trailer because Heather refused to vacation in a trailer with a newborn! We took a vacation to Tennessee and absolutely fell in love with the area and decided to build a cabin. It started out as a four bedroom but recently we remodeled it into what you see today. Tennessee has become almost a second home to us. Currently we rent out the 6 BR Cabin although we enjoy it ourselves about 4 times a year. We enjoy sharing what God has given us with families like yours. We would love to hear about your stay so we hope that our guests will write in our guest book during their stay. Feel free to ask any questions or give us any comments. Looking forward to working with you and sharing our gifts!

God’s Blessings to you and your families!

'May the LORD bless you and protect you;

May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you;

May the LORD show you His favor and give you peace.'

Numbers 6:24-26

Heather Monaco purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Heather Monaco chose Tennessee

We vacationed here for the first time in 2000, fell in love with the area and the high quality craftmanship of these cabins and decided to build one for ourselves! There's something special about the peace and tranquility of the area when you witness the beauty of Gods creation in the beautiful Smokey Mountains!

What makes this cabin unique

the sunroom brings the outside in! hot tub, game room with pool table, fooseball, video arcade and ping pong, the separate lower level for children to play while the adults socialize on the main floor

Guestbook comments from the manager

We shared the cabin with a total of 7 persons on a staff retreat. It was very clean and spacious, allowing us to work together or separately. It is a beautiful place and makes for a fun visit to the area. There are plenty of places to have fun, be alone, gather, eat, read and cook. The price is reasonable and the location ideal. We hope to return sometime in the future.

Very nice accommodations

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful and roomy. Plenty of room for each person to stretch out and not invade the other's space. Very nice!

Memorable Family Reunion and Vacation

  • 5 of 5

So blessed and so grateful. We had 6 families (4 sisters, 1 brother, our 77 year old father, and our families) who came from all over for this family reunion! The cabin has lots of room - and it is absolutely gorgeous! It had everything we needed - from space to the fully equipped kitchen (we made many of our meals there, so it was nice to have everything we needed). We even had an impromptu wedding (my nephew and his fiance decided this was the time and place) so we put it together in less than 3 days and it was perfect! We had a minor leak under the kitchen sink, but one phone call was made and the maintenance crew was on it and fixed it very quickly! The daily trash and towel service was wonderful! It was great service all around! Only suggestion would be to screen in the lower deck (where the ping pong table, corn hole and hot tub area are) because the bugs 9and we think a bat) were often a nuisance in the evening - plus we lost several ping pong balls over the side since it was open (we replaced them ourselves before we left). Overall this place was perfect and a HUGE HIT and everyone loved our time there! Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your great review, Anita! So glad that you had such a great time! Good to hear that the resort staff followed up with your issue so quickly. Sorry about the ping pong balls. We have decided to screen the porch in after the break in the continuous stream of rentals. We will have it fixed by the next time you come back. Gods Blessings!

Home Away from HOME

  • 5 of 5

WOW!! Where do i begin........first off I would like to state that i have stayed in other cabins in the area previous to this visit. We had max capacity in this cabin, seven sisters and their kids ranging in age 1 - 30. This cabin is the BEST one yet and I will tell you why. I'm petty but the cabin in itself was very spacious well organized in a GREAT location and there was nothing misleading from the website. But what impressed me the most was the fact that there were enough utensils, dishes, pots/pans, coffee makers, crock pots, toaster oven, blender, mixer, measuring cups/spoons, and anything you would keep in your own home it was there. Now some may think all it took was plenty of household items to make me happy but imagine trying to cook for a large family in a starter set of pots and there aren't enough utensils to cook/eat with it can be VERY frustrating. We had towel and trash service daily. The games/gameroom kept the kids thoroughly entertained, the high speed internet was perfect for those who cannot leave the TECH WORLD behind, cable service was another +, seating arrangements were perfect the huge dining tables, the large couches, the gas grill, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED the porch swing and rocking chairs. The only issue we encountered was the ice machine on the refrigerator stopped working however, maintenance was called and he brought us two huge bags of ice so NO ISSUE after all.

We had an AWESOME time and will return also, i WILL recommend to anyone headed to the area. If I could i would share some our family photos. Thanks again for a GREAT STAY!!!

Easy to locate with GPS. Pool and playground in the resort area was another plus for kids and adults.

Awesome Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

From the time we walked inside til we left, we loved the place. Perfect size for multiple families/people. Never heard a complaint from any of the 15 people that stayed there.

FYI: bring ping pong balls with you! The table is right next to the rail of the deck. If a ball goes over, it's a nice 20 ft free-fall into the woods. We walked down and recovered about 20 balls, lol.
